I was very frustrated to not find any videos on this product other then a few product demo videos so I thought I would upload one myself.
Sorry about not narrating the video. Maybe I'll start doing that in the future.
The programming could be better. In my first programming attempts I only saved the "new water length" but then it reversed the turning cycle, it didn't do what I wanted.
For me to get it work properly, I had to manually hold and turn the head, setting the length of the water and save to EVERY angle.
Gardena should make a new version where you can go back and edit single points and also see the length of the water to different angles. The manual included with the product is very non informative and Gardena is just hopeless to get a reply from if sending them any question by email.
One thing the Gardena demo videos does not tell you is that any wind at all will make the water spray outside the area you want it to. So it may be a good idea to shorten the length by 50cm or so just to be sure not to annoy any neighbour.

When it's spraying very far away, the water is arcing quite a bit, and there is a huge area under the arc of water that's not getting touched. Does the sprinkler ensure it fills in those areas as well? For instance, does the grass right next to the base get watered just as much as the rest of the grass?
To me it seems that the area is covered, but I have dry spots in the corners because I don't want to risk spraying my neighbors.

The batteries seem to last 1.5-2 years for me. But I only water if it has been hot and dry for a while.
Hey David, thanks for this video. Im just in the process of programming mine can I ask a question about programming it from your experience? The instructions say to hold the sprinkler and use the + or _ to set how far the spray goes. But while you are doing this the head is still turning. It feels weird that i'm fighting against the rotating head to program the sectors. Is this normal or have I done something wrong. Cheers, Pete
Hi! Yes, that is one of the challenges when programming this product. You will have to force it in the position you are setting and press the buttons and then let it turn to the next sector and repeat. It will make some cracking sounds, but from what I can tell that's normal. I always program both ways, because for some strange reason it will not remember the range on the way back unless you made that program. If it is one thing that make me regret buying this, its the entire programming part that is way to complicated.
@@daviddjerf2856 Thanks David, especially that its been so long since you posted the video. Good to know that I'm not breaking it. The product promo video from Gardena shows the man casually turning the sprinkle head whilst trying not to wet his wife: while i'm there in the crouch position, trying not to fall into the accumulating puddle of water forming under me whilst wrangling a sprinkler head that doesn't want to do what its told. Much appreciated
What kind of sorcery is this???? Does it adequately water the entire area without dry spots?
Yes, but it is very frustrating to set the range for all angles. I usually have to do it 4 times before it got it right. Begin from one side and set the range and press save, then move the head as little as possible and repeat.
Hi, how do the limit stops work? Im trying to figure out if ours is broken. The limits just rotate round and around, they dont seem to be able to interact with the sprayhead in any way to tell it to go the other way?
Don't know exactly how, but you can set two limits using the orange plastic stoppers. If thats not working for you I think something is broken.
How many meters can it be the max length with 4bar?
I'm not sure how many bars we got in the water line, but I'm using the 3/4" hose and it can reach to the fence ca 10 meters away.
Whats for is this orange cap covering sprinke head? Is this usefull for something?
Its just the grip-part of the sprinkler head that you turn manually during programming.
Is it ok after 4 years?
I used it in april this year but since then we moved to a house with a much larger lawn, so I havnt used it since then. Ill see if I can find a use for it next spring/summer.
After every use I took it inside, so it was never outside for mor than two dys (some times I forgot to take it inside again).
