Great video on the repairs on this Toro. That oil was really dirty indeed and that belt wow it was toast . I agree on a better drain plug for that engine.
It is a good video , nice clear direction on belt install . I used my blower today it runs and blows great , this is a new used blower for me . thanks for taking the time .
I found one of these little Toros in the trash a few years ago. I just had a gummed up carburetor. I typically just use it as a backup or if there's not quite enough snow for two-stage machines.
Nice fix on that unit Ken. Scorched right through that original belt. Seems to happen a lot on riding mowers as well. Get the deck packed and just burns them up. I’m sure that machine appreciates the oil change as well.
just got one today and heard a part rattling, took off the side cover and an extra bolt fell out, also the belt was routed BELOW that center metal tab that says "belt here" , if I left it like that it would have tore up the belt.........someone goofed at the factory that day !
Many people will not realize the belt goes OVER that brake tab because they usually find a broken belt just laying under the cover. Thanks for watching
Great video as I was donated a PC180 from the neighbor. Doing my first paddle n scrapper change ever. Might as well do the oil too. Don't know if he ever did that or not. Quick question. 5w30 hunh? Can I use car oil or do you need special Toro bs oil?? TIA
I use Kawasaki semi synthetic because it’s readily available from my dealer but any name brand multi-grade 5w or 10w-30 will work fine. Thanks for watching!
Glad I could help Tom, just have to get some good equipment and maybe a helper to get the quality of the content up to my high standards lol! Thanks for watching!
Would have been better video if the placement of the blue sign was on the other side of the blower,,,,Just my thoughts!!! Clicked on video for repair on machine, not words on sign.
I don’t think it blocked anything I was trying to show. Point taken though. All of us creators could use a cameraman. It’s tough doing it solo. Thanks for watching!
@@KensSmallEngineRepair the cable definitely doesn’t need to be tightened. I think the cord got loose moving it into storage and isn’t engaging anymore. The belt seems to be routed correctly

Too bad it wasn’t pipe thread, I would’ve put a nipple on it! Thanks for watching!

So many people put the belt on wrong and smoke it! Wanted to be clear. Thanks for watching!
Great video Ken, I love it when people leave the camera falling over in the vid,,,, makes it real
Definitely real! Thanks for watching!

There a nice little unit ,,we just got 2 feet of snow here today lol
Send it down here Steve! Thanks for watching!
Nice how to video Ken! Yes the smell of rubber burning is never good. 👍🇺🇸😁
The customer actually remembered a burning rubber smell lol! Thanks for watching!

Fantastic repair on the fly you made someone happy 😆
Ya belts are easy peasy.
I thought I was the only camera knocker over lol. Good video Ken!
Happens all the time Artie!
Really like those little Toro's. Thanks for sharing this.
They scrape sidewalks clean, I’m a big fan of them!
They save a dime for everyone they built without an extended oil drain tube.
I believe it. If it was a pipe thread I would’ve put a nipple on it! Thanks for watching!
Nice clean job there Ken
Not as clean as your free Snowthrower tuneups lol! Thanks for watching!
Great video Ken.
Kentucky Fried? Now I’m hungry! Thanks for watching!

Nice video Ken but I truly don't see how you're outside in the wind working with it being 4 degrees.
We do what we have to do lol! Thanks for watching Big John!!
Anytime Big Ken!! 🤣
That machine looks almost new , curious any particular way that belt goes on does the belt have arrows ?
No arrows so it must be unidirectional. Thanks for watching!
@@KensSmallEngineRepair you mean bi-directional. (both ways)
No matter how careful I was changing the oil on my snow blower it still went everywhere
Did you tilt it down?
