  • I set up my Powmr 6200 watt hybrid inverter to run as a Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to run all the power outlets and all the lights on the house.
    The inverter has performed flawlessly all day running power loads up to 3kw or just under 50% of rated capacity.

      Thanks for your kind comment but this is only a test configuration. I am currently adding more panels and putting the inverter into a cabinet. I will be making a few more videos about this system very soon.

    I was thinking to focus on my power needs for a while. Get it under handle. Not just to sort out the bills, but to also remove dependancy somewhat.
    I’m just starting, literally today and only have the knowledge from wiring up race cars.
    My first thought (I bet I look back at this and laugh) is to have 10kw back to the system (to get me credit for the day rate of being hooked up to the grid). Then 5kw for home use (I work from home and have a pool). Not even sure if I can hook it all up like that.
    I have a 13m x 6m shed and a 10m x 4m back patio. I was thinking to get good secondhand panels (couple of years old from houses that are getting demolished) and fill the space.
    Hopefully I can get this system going.
    My question, if it’s not entirely stupid, can I keep the current Fronius 5kw inverter and panels and just hookup a 10kw inverter and 15kw’s of panels (there is an 10kw Sungrow inverter - SG10RS that supports 15kw).

      Yes you can keep the original setup and add a completely separate system with batteries and separate solar panels. Good 🤞

    Do you know by any chance what the difference between the hybrid and all in one Inverters is? I currently have a 10.35KW Array with two sunny boy 6kw which unfortunately lack hybrid functionality so running on battery or generator is not possible on my current array. I currently plan on expanding to a maybe extra 4-6 panels as I am to producing enough to cover 2 month during the winter. I am debating to replace the sunny's with two 6200w all in one Powmr unless the hybrid model is what I need. I think I have 2 strings per inverter currently.

    We have installed powmr HVM-6.2M-48V-N. In SUB setting inverter switches to utility itself after 02 minutes irrespective of solar energy. Batteries are attached. Please guide us

    I had a very bad experience with Powmr products. Their GT-800 micro inverter lasted 6 months and then broke. Customer support and warranty protection are real issues and have not been resolved. They keep asking for new information to exhaust the customer. Their official distributor in Thailand, Flagship Store on Lazada, does everything to not provide warranty. The same goes for providing a simple AC connection cable between the 2 micro inverters presented on the site. After sending at least fifty emails, I gave up. The customer service is deplorable.

    Is this inverter installed outdoors? This inverter is absolutely not outdoor rated.

    • @postiemania
      @postiemania  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      This is a test rig and is located under shelter and is not required to be weatherproof. The whole previous Solar installation was completed by monkeys on crack or worse. It is my job to correct the previous installation errors and build a compliant system that actually works. The solar panel placement was so bad it gets only 4 hours of Sun a day and the conduit bringing the DC feed was draining water into the PV isolator. Total cost in materials so far is $1500 USD which I think is very reasonable for the specs of the system. I will be doing a few more videos on TH-cam about this as we progress.

      @@solarcharging9743 you might be pleased to know the Solar Power system is safe and sound in a secure metal cabinet with lockable AC and DC isolation both inside and outside of the cabinet. The test run over the first two months has performed very well. The next phase of engineering involves upgrading the battery supply to a 1000Ah 48V battery pack with a climate controlled cabinet using 24 cells at 2.1 volts each.
