    I am watching this video to apply to creating residential deck walk board patters. The first technique causes the view to distort (I can't see anything). I think this is because I am using wood instead of an I-beam (?). The second technique works perfectly. The third obviously only applies to steel.
    Do you have a solution to why the first technique might cause a problem with the ability to view?

      I’m not sure. Are you modelling the floor pattern using structure beams? Would it be better to use surface pattern?

      @@BINHE615 The advantage to using surface beams is that the program can run analytics and schedules of materials.
      If this was just an interior floor to display flooring styles then surface patterns would suffice.
