Was it difficult to open up the HP35S to access the LCD panel? My experience with these panels is once the rubber contact strips are removed from the LCD glass, I will get missing segments. With an old Casio calculator which doesn't have backlight, I put a strip of aluminium foil as a reflective surface, held in place by tiny tape at the edges. This method won't work with Casio watches as aluminium foil is opaque unless it is illuminated by LEDs at the side.
Should i replace the background sticker ?
If yes, where i can find it ?
And what kind of glue i can used ?
Great video ❤ you mentioned about not rubbing off the polarizer, is it part of the silver sheet? Or a separate layer at the back of the screen?
The polarizer must still be there because LCD screens don't work without them.
It worked for me. Thanks a lot.
Nice work.... Does take a lot of patience and caution to remove the adhesive from the glass
Whats the degree you use? 0/90 degree or 45/135 degree? Waiting for your answer 😄 any suggestions what to use?
I normally just eyeball it to whichever angle that create the clearest display.
What do u called that foil u replace?
You expect to buy GBX100 when released next month ?
Not sure, in June perhaps. During summer season.
What if you use white paper or something als as a background
Will Casio fix this issue if we send them our watch
They will, if they still have the parts. Doing this ourselves is way cheaper & faster.
Hello, it is not enough tear glue. It need new one-way mirror foil in the background. Then You have full reflective

*_Nice music!!!_*
Nice work, anyway can I re-use that sticker again? (If yes) what kind of glue you suggest?
You can buy aftermarket background sticker or chromatic plate. The plate compatible for all digital gshock
@@ironwaste3704 Thanks for this info
What kinda glue you use?
Not any glue. I just leave it as it is and install it back plain like that.
Ha ha, the LCD panel on my Made in China Hewlett Packard scientific calculator HP 35S has this problem. And it uses non-rechargeable CR2032 batteries.
Seems like this solution is applicable everywhere. Noice!

what about this background name?
Just a piece of sticker to add color to the display.
Any type of thin paper or transparent plastic could be used as replacement.

Hi friends
...or you could just buy another G-Shock and be good for another 10 years.
if it actually lasted 10 years 😅
@@gshockhighfashion True...it just seems like a lot of work for a very cheap, easily replaceable watch.
I wanna know what cause this
My guess, long exposure to direct heat from sunlight
