Hi, for the two rubber that connect lcd and engine part, how do I make it stick stronger to both lcd and engine part as my g have it loose. I thought it cause my g ghosting a bit.
very useful video! I couldn't figure out to remove the LCD without damaging it.
What are your thoughts on the GW-S5600-1JF? Would you consider it a good starting point for getting into GShocks? I know it's one of the more pricy squares but I like it for its carbon fiber band and low-profile look. Thanks and as always, your videos are great!

what about g shock g7100? i have the same issue with the lcd, but a lot worst compare to ur watches.. so where can i buy those rubber connectors for a g7100??
I called those lcd ribbon. You can't buy them as is from Casio or anywhere, unless someone take apart an entire watch and sell piece by piece.

I just bought heavilly used DW-003 and was worried about spares availibilty. Now I'll swap module cover and will have my 1st G-shock(, no matter how frankenstein it will be ;D).
Did You tried renowating those lcd traces with silver compound , like on Vintage digital watches channel?

In my g shock ,I can't see first ten seconds in graphic area ,first one year it appear nicely but after it missed

I have a Casio G-2500 wich has flickering LCD in time-mode, I have cleaned all contacts no difference.
Think theres a leaked capacitor somewhere.
That would be the crystal. I had similar issue before, still can't find a way to fix them.
Can you replace them another model lcd ? Like I have dw8500 I change the LCD to dw6900 lcd

Great question. Apparently, I’m also still figuring out how to do that right now. I don’t have any G-Shock that have that issue to work with or to use as a demonstration. I’ll share about this after I learnt how to solve this big issue. Some older model do have this issue, happen to me as well few months ago. I end up just selling them for parts. Loss a lot of fund at that time. Too bad.

I have an dw5600ms with negative display. It is possible to buy only the full module 3229 positive display to replace it?
Totally can.
Depending on the price, you could also just swap the lcd only.

I used a hair drier to remove moisture from my negative display g shock but now the dispay is so dim it's nearly invisible. Anything i can do? It's my oldest watch I'm gutted.
I haven't done this myself, either swap to new polarizer sticker on the front or replace a new capacitor onto the circuit board. Casio didn't give any schematic to know which one to swap so.. it's a trial and error. If you had the patent and time, this is the best method.
or find a cheap used model and used as donor like I often did.
