When I lived in Rhode Island I had just learned to knit. I used to be intimidated to shop at the “yarn shops.” Not anymore. LOL.. OMG! I love WEBS. It can be overwhelming because its so huge!
I’ve been to Webs once and loved it! Such a nice store, and I love getting their catalogs in the mail to browse
The local shop that you went to that has a a multi colored triangle scarf is called the Shift. I went to A Garden for Knitters and got those three yarns brand for my scarf. I used the light blues, orange one you have, I also used a blue that had a mix of blues and a red blend. Its an awesome cowl to make.
Great video! I loved seeing these stores in Boston. I lived there for 8 years, and I walked by Mind's Eye Yarns every day for 4 of them but was too afraid to go in! I wish I'd just gone for it. Last time I was in the area they were appointment only for COVID, but I hope next time I visit I can go by! I did go to Boston Fiber Co (then Bead + Fiber) and it was really great!
Mind’s Eye Yarns was such a nice store! I hope you can make it back some time!
Hello from Eastern Europe! We do not have yarn crawls over here so its fun to watch!
Thought the bag crinkling was hysterical! Glad you had fun and found some great yarny resources. 🧶 Enjoying your podcasts.
Haha thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed that part!
Sounds like fun!
Super nice episode thank you. I have a little project bag for one ball which I keep when I am knitting socks 😉and I can carry it everywhere, like trains, etc... I am discovering your yarns as I am living in France so it is nice to see different wool.
I would embroider some of the yarn that I got from the crawl into the little circles of shops that didn't have pins. But I'd also love having pins 🙂
I love that idea! So clever!
I have a local place just a mile from me and they had so many interesting yarns! I bought a project bag there and it’s nice to have the yarn protected :) I’ll have to visit it again soon. Love the vid!
You posted this video over a year ago, so I'm not sure if you still need this advice. You were just asking for one skein patterns for DK weight yarn. I just published a hat pattern last month, Enchanted Evening Cap. It's a double brim hat pattern, free! I'm working on offering different sizes soon.
I watched a couple of your more recent videos last night. Enjoyed them so much, decided to start at episode one! 😊❤ Have a great day!
I enjoyed going on your yarn crawl journey with you. What a great treasure stash you acquired. So happy for you. Enjoying your cries. Cannot wait to see your future knitting projects.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Hey Amy!
I love your channel! Your videos are fun to watch and very inspiring!
Concerning the Schoppel yarn: I made a sweater with it. I can absolutely recommend it. It became beautiful and the changes in color make it a really interesting piece!
Love from the Netherlands!
I listen to your vlog while knitting a Babyblanket for my Sisters Baby 🥰 Beautiful Episode!
Thank you!
Fun video Amy! I can't wait until the NC Yarn Crawl comes back.
That will be so fun!
great video Amy, love the channel and love to support a brand new youtuber. great wips and fos in your last video too, im a fan!
Aw thank you for watching!
So cool to see this in my area! Now I want to do the cowl by Andrea Mowry.
That’s awesome that you’re local to MA too! I can’t wait to start my cowl - you should make your own too!
Nice to see you’re back so soon. I was wondering what part of the country you were in. New England is lovely- I went to boarding school there many years ago. The small project bag would probably be good for your sock project.
I did end up using the bag for my sock project! It was the perfect size
Hi! I believe the first balls of colorful yarn you showed is zauberball? If so I just knit a vest ( the granny vest by Pia Trans ) with that yarn held double to make DK weight. I absolutely love the effect it gave.. a marled blended striping effect, I just love it. I’ll be showing it on my next episode😊. Love your podcast! Always full of informative and inspiring content! 😊
I’d love to see how that vest came out! I love color marbling - it has such a nice effect on knit items! Thank you for watching!
How about a scrunchy. I think its a pretty easy knit and a great gift
That’s a great idea!
Hi, Mass native and current Rhody here! Love to see someone else from the area. Which store had the table full of local New England yarn?
Hello! Love hearing that other New Englanders are watching! That store was A Garden for Knitters in North Andover, MA!
@@neknits fellow Bostonian here - looking forward to seeing your visits to the local shops!
Def not a fan of the bag crinkling 😢
