This is a remake on a song I did a while back but New and Improved. The song La Victoire Est a Nous (Victory is Ours) was a song widely played during the Napoleonic Era in the French Army. It's a song that symbolizes the French spirit to keep fighting until total victory.

This specific melody isnt La Victoire Est a Nous. This is called La Vieille Garde and it was composed by Nina Rota for the film.

I saw this film when it first came out and it looked wonderful. The reality must have been horrific. Piles of rotting, dismembered corpses everywhere. As you get older, you really do reassess things.

Napoleon Bonaparte was a great leader, English propaganda trying to reduce him,for example that he was very short,i know when u fight an enemy in the history lines u say how great was your oppenent,as Hannibal for Romans... anyways French didn't lost only from England,but from Russia, Austria-Hungary,Spain,Holland n some other,he fought against all the big powers athis time,for me he was a winner he brought back the democracy..he had one disadvantage,he had bad strategy at sea n English ,with agreat admiral i forget his name for the present i think his name was Whoelighton,well i m sure that i misspelled his name,he was killed at the duty from a French sniper,cause French navy soldiers had the orders to try to kill hi command soldiers cuz they knew that they list sea battle... anyways Napoleon fought all the great powers.
