  • Alfa Romeo Giulia QV POV Driving. This car still puts a smile on my face every single day I get to drive it. As I consider options of new cars I do not think there is a replacement out there today in 2022. This car will be special to all enthusiasts forever if you ask me. Thanks for watching and stay tuned for more content.

Believe me, the manual is a step back. You loose performance and you loose some of the sound drama. All that just to be able to play with a conventional stick and having to use the left foot to drive? naaahh!
A friend of mine has a Giulia with manual gearbox. I've a Stelvio with this ZF. The ZF is a lot more fun ...and you can even enjoy a more comfy ride and handling in those frequent situations where we just need to go and take some passengers from A to B.

I couldn’t agree more. I do 20k miles per year, mostly on motorways. I’ve kept my 2017 Quad for 3 years now because it ticks every box. It’s a keeper. My old E90 M3 sedan was beautiful but the Quad beats it in torque, looks, and fuel efficiency.

If the car is your 2nd or 3rd car and not a daily, I can't imagine paying a cent more for an ATSV or CT4 BW over a Camaro SS 1LE. The Camaro handles better, feels RAW, and has a killer exhaust note with the NA LT1. Almost zero sound deadening in that thing. I actually think a SS 1LE weekend car and Giulia Ti Sport with Performance pack as a daily is a perfect combo for the enthusiast car nerd. Also, as far as brand image and all that.... when I see an ATSV, CTSV, Camaro SS, any Giulia I think to myself that that dude actually knows about cars and is a true enthusiast. When I see a BMW M340, F80, F82, I think that dude doesn't really know much about cars and bought on word of mouth, brand image, or hype. New BMWs suck. Might as well get a Tesla.

@@autofanaticcars I’ve got to disagree. I’ve got a manual Quadrifoglio and the shifter is perfectly fine. The main thing is you have to get used to the steering and pedals being quick and sharp, while the shifting is rather chunky. It’s like putting a baby in your car and then having to slam the door - it feels kind of counterintuitive. After a few months it felt natural to me.
The gearing is longer, of course, but the torque range is wide enough to not be much of an issue. For spirited driving, you do basically keep it in 2nd and 3rd, maybe 4th. 5th and 6th are for ‘economy’ or high speed driving.
An interesting feature about the manual is it can rev-match on the downshift. I’ve never had a car doing that before and didn’t read or see anything about it before I bought the car.
