I just keep watching this they are just wonderful I love all of their work from when I fist heard them courtesy of my son I’m a 67 year old retired nurse.
The look on your faces in the piano solo was PRICELESS!!! How cool is that in a hard rock concert, in a second a guy is jamming on his guitar and in the next he's busting out an amazing piano solo?!? This song is pure genius! Muse were at this point in time the BEST band in the world... that much was clear!! I was at that concert and there's no words to match the talent of these guys!
Sadly alot of english people dont like muse. Im proud of them as an arab always will support them. But when they came here to dubai the english people were booing them. And i told them shame on you.
@@ahabbellamy8098 that’s so sad to hear. I haven’t found anyone that doesn’t like them in England (I know there will be some), but never heard them booed and the concerts are packed full. What a shame 🙁
With Muse 1 Song can be like a whole concert: slow, fast, piano, guitars, loud, quiet, every possible element in one song and that you get 20 times (or however many songs they are playing in one night). And this song is the best example. Love them.
According to the biography I have Matt Bellamy taught himself to play classical music by listening to it, I couldn’t play Rachmaninov after years of lessons, he taught himself, he is amazing. I have always loved rock musicians who fuse classical and rock influences.
Like Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins. He taught himself to play most instruments. Brian May of Queen taught himself guitar. All the best ones just seem to have an ear for it.
Butterfly effect. The theory is a butterfly flaps its wings and kicks off a chain reaction of events that results in a hurricane. Like a pebble dropped in a pond, the ripples spread out on and on, to cover the lake , disturbing its entire surface. I think this piece of music is both inspirationally galvanising and the music represents that a few piano notes can have just as powerful an impact as the tempo that it leads into. The smallest thing can pack a punch. It's sounds bloody thrilling!!
The live content from Wembley and Rome belongs to the best live music material ever created until today - won't discuss that. Muse made history with those gigs.
During the piano, we can all imagine a beautiful butterfly struggling through a strong wind. Here comes the hurricane from the other side of the world.
I'm a huge Muse fan, this is EASILY my fav song! Must've heard it 100s of times and it never gets old. Not a direct comparison but I often think of it as their "Bohemian Rhapsody". I can also play the piano solo! (not as well as Matt though) 😁
This is the first time I have seen or heard this band. 🤯 I was actually thinking when he started playing piano that it totally gave me a Freddie Mercury vibe 😁 loved it
@@kimzwolinski9919 few recommendations for you, citizen erased, blackout, stockholm syndrome, deadstar, assassin, exogenesis symphony, muscle museum, the handler
There's a video from 1994 of Muse - yes, the same 3 guys - playing their school talent show. They were already playing like they shared one mind back then.
Matt Bellamy is an awesome singer, lyricist and musician that guy can do everything, and then when we put him together with such a talented drummer and bassist as Dom and Chris, we have the best band in the world, they can deliver in all of the capacities of a live concert. Matt uses a lot of classical music inspiration such as Chopin and Rachmaninoff on his songs, every Muse's album we can find a lot of songs with that inspiration.
This intro plus the whole song really came from a world famous composer by the name of Ennio Morricone. It accompanied one of best western movies of the 1950's called "Once Upon A Time In The West". Great Movie. Great Sound Track. Matt does a great job of borrowing this one.
From Wikipedia: “In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.” So a butterfly flapping its wings can eventually cause a hurricane on the other side of the world.
I have the DVD version of this show and if you like this you should really check out 'Blackout' and 'Stockholm Syndrome' from the same concert in Wembley Arena. Those might be my favorite live perfermances ever.
8.02 - your faces = priceless :) welcome to the essence of Muse ;) they look so young!!! i'd love to know your view on why this song is called Flutterbies and Hurricanes. x
You should react to some songs from showbiz (especially sunburn, showbiz and cave). At the london astoria 2000 for cave, glastonbury 2000 for showbiz, idk about sunburn On a side note have you seen the music video of their newest song? Great stuff
Good job ... this live in Wembley 2007 ??? it was the best of the best live about Muse SINCE 1999.... I'm a Metal Basist since very long time... BUT... how to dislike Muse ??? goddam... it's IMPOSSIBLE, right ? Thx for react about this F... song We salute all your Band from France...keep safe Guys !!! Hey, just for remember when Mat Bellamy was you (14years old) he receive an award in Piano with Chopin 's recital, he buid "himself" his many Guitar in the beginning of Muse, and to finish... his a Fu.... vocalist, so one of the best artist in the world since 20 years !!! To finish... a request ??? a great song with a final absolutely great in Guitar, that song is: Muse - Blackout [Live From Wembley Stadium 2007]
Thats why I muse r the best. What band can play a hard sounding song , then add a classical piano piece smack bang in the middle of the song. Pull it off every time. Ridiculous
I wasvthere with my eldest. Although they can still do it live, this was their peak, as all the albums since the HAARP gigs have been terrible. Their first albums and early live performances were truly great.
Muse is one of my favourite bands, and this is my favourite song from them....but it always really disappoints me when reactors always do the live versions....the album versions sound sooo much better! I can never find anyone reacting to the studio versions of their songs.
She said it all. "I shouldn't be surprised that he can play piano like this, he is an incredible musician but I'm blown away.
I am a thrash head, metal head, classic rock head... but my old band's lead singer took me to see Muse once, and what a show. I mean, holy

Agreed. I've seen probably 200 bands live in my lifetime. Muse is hands-down the best live, and it's not even close.
As soon as I saw this one I clicked on it. I just wanted to see their jaws drop when Matt hit the piano like a virtuoso. Always wonderful!
