  • The install of the RacingLine catch can on an Audi S3 8V has some subtle differences from the installation on a Golf R. All are easily resolved like we did.

    Great video! Curious how easy/ difficult it is to drain?

      Aaron Nicholas super easy. Just undo the mounting bolt, lift it up and pull the plug from the bottom

    I just picked up my S3, and besides some smaller wheels & all weather tires (Upper east coast USA can get brutal during the winter), what kind of basic/novice mods would you recommend? I’ve seen the OBD11 on your channel and that seems too complex for me to start out with and I don’t want to void the extended warranty (bought certified pre-owned).
    So what can I realistically do?

      If you don't want to void the warranty you can't do any tunes or major parts. you can however get better tires, better rotors and pads, and possible the swaybars. these cars are pretty fast anyway, they just need better stopping and cornering. Audi did do an optional res delete pipe in some markets but it has since been discontinued.

      You can do some sneaky mods that up the performance I have full warranty and when I took it into the dealership to look at the car they had no idea of what mods was even on the car before me. Turned out the man who sold it had done major mods to my car and the dealership had no idea plus the warranty people have never seen your car before so they have no idea about your car. If you want some advise let me know iv spent the last 6 months doing my Audi s3 2017 model

    Great video. Not seen anyone putting this on the S3 yet, so interesting to see the differences. So you’ve now got no need to replace the engine mount bolt when emptying 👍 I was wondering about using that threaded portion for this reason, after watching Humble Mechanic’s install. Did you say the spacer for the other bolt comes with the kit?

    • @TheEddysGarage
      @TheEddysGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it is good not to have to remove the engine bolt now. yes there is a spacer with the kit and it is meant to be used if you have the racing line engine mount. it is a little bit too tall but i just trimmed it
