@mendyshelios0451 I disagree. I feel like this was even a common complaint with tf2's default hud, but there's a design philosophy behind it all. The reason why it feels cluttered is because you're looking at it from a spectator perspective and not a player perspective. This is mainly a 3rd person shooter, so it'd make sense that you want to see a few important things on your screen. When you're in a fight, your eyes are focused on the center of the screen: where it's your character, the hp bar, and the world around you. The rest of the UI is pushed back across the corners, but not far enough, so you don't need to turn your head when you need to make a call or look at stats. Going back to tf2, this game wasn't ready to adapt to HD resolutions, so the hud gets pushed way far back, making important details hard to focus on when playing. If you were playing this on a 4:3, you'd notice that everything is close together and very big as well. That's why a lot of popular hud mods for tf2 deliberately bring everything near the middle of the screen, since Valve was too lazy to fix this lol.
@lil_lion69 maybe it's just because I'm on shitty work wifi but for example at around 1:55 all the bright colours and flashes kinda make everything sorta blurry. I don't think it's really anything you can do it's just how youtube compresses their videos, it's REALLY bad on videos of snow blowing and confetti falling for instance.
@@moistsnail7681 I can't tell if it actually is or if it's just my graphics being bad from the video . Deadlock feels very big numbers bright flashing lights tho so I wouldn't be surprised.
I've had some great games with friendlies. The problem usually is then the rest of the team starts to venture over to kill them. I think alternate modes would help that out tho
I'd argue that most of your points are unique traits of valve's to create an engaging game with certain elements instead of being exclusive to tf2. Counter strike and left 4 dead also come to my mind when you made a lot of your points
11:41 "what topics i should cover" you say? I have 2 suggestions: -"Philosophical undertone of skibidi toilet - what is the message of cameraman?" -"Effects of plastics, estrogen-like artifficial substances and many diffrent pollutants on mamals overall and human brains"
I hate how VALVe copies ideas from Tf2 for Deadlock, and yet still pretends as if Tf2 doesn't exist when it comes to giving it major updates. The only reason why they are making Deadlock isn't really about the gameplay, but rather the money they'll get from it like a few of their other titles (e.g CS:GO, Dota 2, CS2, Valorant). Team Fortress 2 is original, unique, and iconic, it is based on actual fun gameplay. While Deadlock is just a copy of every hero shooter nowadays, just based on Esports or whatever. Not to say Deadlock is "bad" (probably just "mid"), but rather to say that it shouldn't be a replacement to Team Fortress 2, and more of just "Dota 3" I guess. And that Valve should just continue to update and provide for Tf2 (probably the best multiplayer game), rather than replacing it by game that is not timeless or original as TF2 is. Sorry for ranting, I just had to get that off my chest for a bit so I can go touch some grass for once.
I will admit, Team Fortress 2 is old, very old (its literally been around before the IPhone ONE). However, that doesn't mean that it can't get anymore updates just because of it's age. Especially when you remember that despite the games age, the player count is still fairly stable - the game literally reached its highest player count in 2023 of all years! So as an immortal legendary game, Valve should return to make it more better and popular than it is now. Whether that be new major official updates, or Team Fortress 3.
My goal for 2025 is to upload monthly. If you enjoyed this video, and want to see the next 11, subscribe.
I’m looking forward to your next 11 videos :)

They should learn how to not make it look like a clusterfuck... the hud, numbers and abilities blinding your screen...
That’s not the bad part lol the worse part is how unfun all the abilities are to play against
First thing my Wife said when she saw the game is that it gave her a headache, I completely understand
You ever been grabbed from the full length bebop hook?
Tbh the whole game would need to change. I agree it is a clusterfuck but so much of the information is crucial.

very strange that this video only got 1.4k views, nice video
especially like the thumbnail
Thanks, which thumbnail did you click on? I'm running an A/B test between a few different thumbnails and think I might try switching it up.
@lil_lion69 one with guys evolving from half-life 1 zombie to deadlock character
My goat Lion back at it!! Phenomenally edited and scripted bro!!!
Thank you, I think both scripting and editing need some work but I'm getting there
@@lil_lion69 You're gonna take the hand for sure. I really appreciate the voicing tho. You speak well
luv.
Characters: *talk
As you can see, this game takes heavy inspiration from Team Fortress 2
Voice lines were the inciting incident for me, but you gotta admit the shop is uncanny
half of the video became less of a "what deadlock learned from tf2" and moreso "what deadlock can learn from tf2"
I said that it would in the intro. It was spurred by things I want the game to add based on the similarities with TF2 as is.
You can tell there's way too much clutter on screen when youtube has a hard time not compressing it to hell and back
When exactly is the compression bad? I didn't notice it when I previewed the video

just discovered your channel and wow you are underrated, great video man
Thank you! If you want another good watch, I’d recommend my “Spy is Broken” video.
It learned to ignore everything that made TF2 good and do it objectively worse.
The one thing that deadlock needs to learn from TF2 is having friendlies.
I've had some great games with friendlies. The problem usually is then the rest of the team starts to venture over to kill them. I think alternate modes would help that out tho
I stan community servers. I hope they add that to the game ngl
@@jojobizadTRASH there are so many great custom modes as well. A friend and I have been playing casual with mvm upgrades and it’s pretty wild
why is the hl2 zombie before the tfc medic
Fire video man your editing is way better compared to mine😂
Thanks, I've had a lot of practice editing videos and it's nice to see it's paying off

LIL_LION69 POSTED!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
How is he even playing deadlock? I thought the game wasn't released yet.
You can get access to the game early if one of your steam friends has it.

Don't know if I have the qualifications for the first one, but you might be onto something with the other one.
nothing

dude the game's been out for 17 years
