The Pnuma Outdoors Crestone pack is easily the best pack on the market at its price point. It punches above its weight class and competes with packs costing twice as much. We were truly impressed by it and everything it had to offer. It has everything a seasoned backpacker or backcountry hunter would need and nothing you don’t. It competes with packs that we have used such as Stone Glacier, Mystery Ranch, EXO MTN Gear, Alps and Cabelas.
Here are some of its finer points:
2-3 night pack - lived out of for up to 8 days for not only hunting, but also overnight / food / water / etc. named after the Crestone peaks.Waist pulls from the hip (not from the buckle so it doesn’t put pressure on the buckle). 3500 cubic inches.
Torso adjustment for customization - slide design slides inside itself.
Has aluminum stays (rods) that's an internal frame and a Solar panel which can be used.
Weekender - midday but also a load out pack. Has a lightweight aluminum adjustable frame.
G hooks have a reinforced nylon double sided strap so that when you are loading (have packed out 110 pounds of meat) - uphill downhill or side slope, you can actively adjust the weight of the load can pull the g hook off and while on.
Once you remove the g hook, you can unhook the top portion and adjust the sides - this is where you put the meat and cinch them down around the meat sits between the frame and the pack on a load shelf cinch down and 6 straps hold them in.
Top pack lid is removable - has internal pocket that's mesh and then a larger pocket up top
Most backpacks load from the top, but front zipper fully unzips to be able to access any part of the pack. In addition to water port bladder (port only has it in the middle).
Long zipper on the outside is soft and flexible and waterproof zipper guard to protect from water dripping, easy access for food or ranger (something you need to get to quickly)
Outside also has adjustable straps designed for gun straps - buckles have ports that are easy release and can strap to any hook on the bag.
Bottom of pack on exterior has sleeper pack / tent holder option - with hook and loop to adjust for straps. Hook and loop 6in pocket on bottom of pack that pulls out a sling system for your rifle and bow - cam can go through this and buckle lock it in then the two front straps go around it to really lock it in. Adjustable sling system can remove and adjust to the right or left.
3 straps that work on your load on the front can hold your gun meaning three different mounting positions for your weapon. Side pockets can hold quiver in side pockets on either side and then strap down to secure and cinch down - soft sided pockets.
DWR coated - wipe down with hydrogen peroxide (tech tip) to remove any blood stains
Inside- top load with cinch system that's expandable
different water bladder systems might have a hook system (the bigger ones) - velcro strap is for the bladder so it'll fit any bladder system
Side pack on interior has net pockets on either side.
4 areas - 3 pockets that zip on tongue - netted - for easy access. Tongue folds up
Silicone on straps to stay put on your frame
Side pockets are smaller and adjustable with MOLLE and how it fits on your waist
Small side pockets have front zip pocket and divider in main pocket
Load shelf, adjustable frame, and outer pocket for 3 points of mounting your weapon + large pocket to access all contents.
Most packs this size come with a waterproof cover, but this one doesn’t need it - it’s built in

I can really appreciate the water proof zippers , I've always had to use gallon zip bags and still would but that feature alone sold me. I don't use packs now at my age but that's a dang good one.
It’s a very good pack that won’t break the bank in comparison to others on the market and you aren’t sacrificing anything by doing so

Great video! I picked this pack up at TAC in 2021 and have since packed out a bull elk, coues deer and 2 mulies. Awesome pack with crazy space! My biggest complaint is the quick disconnect shoulder straps. They come undone easily. I’m sure I could jerry rig a quick fix for this but it hasn’t been a huge deal to me so far. Definitely worth the money!

Right out of the box -My solar panel does not work-
Solar panels are realy finicky in general especially the size which comes with it. They need good direct sunlight or they will not work. That seems to be the going rate for any of them, not just this one.
@@HuntFishShootChannel did or does your panel work? If it does what do you charge with it? Even in direct sunlight it does not output a charge- have a claim with Pnuma on this
Honestly couldn’t tell you. The issue with solar panels is they usually suck at at charging. Might as well use Pnumas warranty they tout!

@@HuntFishShootChannelPossibly. Looks like the same bag for half the price. But the carbon frame of the Kuiu I'm sure where the extra money comes from.
I’m sure that’s part of it with them. There’s a pretty eye opening video out there a very reputable channel made where they destroyed a kuiu bag easier than every other brand and the carbon frame snapped like a twig. They aren’t bad bags, but I think there may be better options. I personally have a stone glacier and another uses an exo mtn gear, this pack is right there with those.
