Neuro-ophthalmology: Session 13: Supranuclear disorders of eye movement Part 1

This session starts with a broad overview of the supranuclear systems controlling eye movements, followed by discussion on the ocular fixation system, the vestibulo-ocular system, the optokinetic system and the smooth pursuit system. Topics include saccadic intrusions (including ocular flutter and opsoclonus), spontaneous vestibular nystagmus, VOR gain, doll’s head manoeuvre, HINTS testing, skew deviations and their differential diagnosis, ocular counter-rolling and ocular tilt reaction, OKN drum testing, VOR cancellation testing, and saccadic pursuits.
