Loading themes is great. Found an Anytone theme shared by someone on the GD77 forum. Saves me faffing. Just got the radio and it seems perfect for running DMR, so frustrating having program the TG for repeaters if just passing through an area. Mine didn't come with GD77 loaded although it should've. Easy enough to install. Will be checking out all your vids for some great tips. Thanks for putting it together. 👍
Thank you for doing these videos. I have recently purched the dm1701 with opengd77 and I do have a hotspot using pistar. I am having trouble connecting the radio to the hotspot. I am new to DMR. Im not sure in the codeplug that I wrote somehow I haven't linked something correctly. Like the zone or talkgroup or channel. I couldnt see on your video on the right handside how you were changing things as the radio's picturle was blocking the view.
@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I do hear myself back when calling the Parrot. And all other talk groups are "Group Call". However, i do not have any activity on the pistar dashboard except my own. I read somewhere that someone said you have to put those talkgroups in "receive groups". Is that somewhere in opengd77? Or maybe they were using a different programming software for their radio that has that future.
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones yer iv basically been following your videos. The green little comes on when it is receiving but no audio. Maybe il make a video later and il send ya a link see what you think.
Got this but never had a DMR before. Finding it difficult to get set up. It randomly forgets my DMR ID, have been trying to program from the radio. Would rather use a repeater than my own hotspot as using my radio with my own hotspot feels little different from just using an app on my phone to access DMR....was hoping i might be able to listen to all the digital signals i kept encountering on scanning with my analogue radio but has ended up being quite challenging! Would quite like to be able to listen to local shopwatch etc which had moved to DMR. Anyone know where i can find a very simple idiots guide to how to get this working and scanning etc? Shluld say i hace rhe same radio with opengd77 installed
ok, im not doing something right. i got to select the donor file, and it will not show it regardless which radio type i select. I dont know what im doing wrong.
I have just bought this radio and waiting for delivery.. thanks for information 👍

The chanel you create needs frequency . Talk group number , slot number , colour code number , Name of channel , then put in to a Zone .
