      Could be originally in Betamax format found in gravesite dig in 1889.
      They had Laserdisc but those were only available to the rich as every bit had to be carved by hand with a primitive laser pointer.
      Legions had official scribes with them, but most records are sadly made several days after events like battles, as they required large amounts of power made by legionary-powered hamsterwheel technology.

      @ribbitgoesthedoglastnamehe4681 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@shamaccb9572 The ancient egyptians already experimented on taking three separate monochrome films, red, blue and yellow at the same time and projecting them exactly on the same place. Hieroglyphs on the ancient theater wall tell us that picture quality was very high with an observable 3D effect, but production costs were also very high and customers complained that popcorn was not invented yet so the system was mostly forgotten.
      Meanwhile in SW USA, tribes built elaborate living rooms on cliffsides with hand-painted still-pictures on the walls.
      They had popcorn, but the laterna-magica like technology was limited by the number of building stones available, and the speed you could spin your head.
      Ultimately the local scientists produced a fully natural herbal product that would make your head spin much faster, but for some reason, the society collapsed soon after and the stone technology was discarded.
      Even earlier records exist from the Diary of Prince Gilgamesh, where young Gilgamesh complains about the stereo sound of his parents yelling at him from both sides for being out too late and scratching the paint of his fathers chariot.

Legio VI Victrix was only created by Octavian 25 years after his adoptive father had genocided his way through gaul. Legio VI Victrix had been used against the Cantabrians, They founded the city called Leon nowadays. Later on they were used against the Germans in Germania before being deployed in Britannia!

      Most of the Western Roman army by the 5th century consisted of Germans, Gauls and of course Romans. Rome destroyed itself with civil war and greed while the German tribes sealed its fate which brought Europe to the dark ages. It took until the 15th century for Italia - Florence to bring rest of Europe out of the dark ages during the renaissance.
      The Germans almost took us back to the dark ages again in the 20th century. Being part German myself, I would stilll be proud knowing it took basically the whole world to beat Germany.

      In many ways they still live, modern countries that they generated just don't live up to the comparison.

      The Roman Empire suffered from economic and technological stagnation and was far too reliant on slavery (and didn't have to innovate labor saving devices or adopt better worker's rights). If the Roman empire survived, then Europe might not have become as advanced as it did. It was competition between many different European powers and the reduction of its dependence on slavery that kicked off the European techno-economic revolutions and the exploration of other continents.

      Roman culture and blood exists in pretty much every western country on the planet. Without Rome, all the world powers in the west would not exists today. Rome was the birthplace of all of it.
