The Romans, the eternal culture, the forefathers of Europe and half of the western world, such a sad thing they dont live here today anymore, the might and glory of rome is so EPIC
The Roman Empire suffered from economic and technological stagnation and was far too reliant on slavery (and didn't have to innovate labor saving devices or adopt better worker's rights). If the Roman empire survived, then Europe might not have become as advanced as it did. It was competition between many different European powers and the reduction of its dependence on slavery that kicked off the European techno-economic revolutions and the exploration of other continents.
Roman culture and blood exists in pretty much every western country on the planet. Without Rome, all the world powers in the west would not exists today. Rome was the birthplace of all of it.

Well you're wrong Mr redditor, this song was never actually sung in Rome, by Romans.
lol :D
I wish we still did such epic chants in the army here in germany. Gives me goose bumps
Don't you guys still sing Erika?
AETERNA VICTRIX !!!!
Roman glory , bones shaking march.
In Spanish.
(Roma, Roma, O Roma!”)
Legión! Eterna! Eterna! Victoria! (2x)
Vencer es el suyo para siempre.
Nuestros corazones solo son los suyos.
Vencer es el suyo para siempre.
Nuestras vidas solo son las suyas.
(Roma, Roma, O Roma)
Legión! Eterna! Eterna! Victoria!
Del libia ardiente
El águila de los legiones vuela
Sobre la tierra de los britanos
El águila de los legiones vuela
(Roma, Roma, O Roma)
Legión! Eterna! Eterna! Victoria!
Su fuerza es itálica
Nuestro deber es el padre Marte
Su fuerza es itálica
Nuestro deber es el padre Marte
(Roma, Roma, O Roma)
Legión! Eterna! Eterna! Victoria!
you are a roma's child
Dude this is awesome
would really like to see the italian army singing this on parade, thousands of soldiers marching to this would make anyone feel patriotic!
I-am-SO-jealous! It must be an epic experience to feel the vibrations of the roman legion. Very well done,i think i heard it at least 20 times!
Why are you jealous? If your roots are in any place of the Old World, from Britain to Turkey, from Lusitania to the Euxine, this hymn is your anthem. Rome was not a city, Rome was a world.
Can we recognize what a great pair of lungs are in the Leader?
If a full legion would sing this it be epic.
I won’t die before I’ve seen that happen.
be part of making it happen!
@@TheAlison1456 lol if i start singing i end up on a cross.
Hearing this gives me chills…I’m a US Army Vet and hearing this and how similar it is to our marching cadences is uncanny. Gives a new appreciation of the Roman Army, as they laid the foundation for professional Armies
Bro that's sick as hell I would of loved to be apart of that
Girl's locker room:
So Justin asked Christina out the other day
Boys locker room:
Romans: "Volat Aquila Legionum Supra Terra Brittannorum"... :)))
Churchill: "We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender!"
So did romans smile a lot as they chanted that?
*Britannorum
Churchill who? What was born two thousand years later?
Even today, thousands of Brits make their living with the Roman ruins of Bath and Hadrian's Wall.
I dont know if could be accuerate or not, but i love it! Give a feeling on how could be in reality.
Not bad for maybe (if even) one Cohort - image that song sung by 5000+ with the marching noise. Great!
I listen to this on loop when I'm lifting heavy in the gym.
The days of fighting in tight formations and marching for days have passed, we'll never sing like that anymore.
There is something incredible about this chant, might be the fluent latin might be the "hooo hooo hooo" don't know
By far the best scene of the otherwise mediocre movie.
Lyrics-Latin:
Chorus: Roma, Roma, O roma, O roma,
Legio Aeterna Aeterna, Victrix!
Verti est sua aeterni (repeat)
Corda nostra solum tibi (repeat)
Verti est sua aeterni (repeat)
Vita Nostrum solum tibi
(Chorus)
A ferventi aestuosa Libya (repeat)
Volat aquila legionum (repeat)
Supra terra Britannorum (repeat)
Volat Aquila legionum (repeat)
(Chorus)
Sit Italica sua vis (repeat)
Nostrum munus Partri Martri (repeat)
Sit Italica sua vis (repeat)
Nostrum munus Partri Martri (repeat)
(Chorus x2)

Hello from the eastern Roman empire GREECE :)
From 🇪🇬 i believe it was ERE county too
But also Egypt has it's history
ROME has LEARNT a lot from Greece, without Greece maybe Rome couldn't be so great.
This sounds better than the movie version, that dud has a hell of a deep tone voice
that chant give me the goosebumps , i might have been legionary in my previous life
There is no proof that Roman legions used marching songs regularly, with only 1 instance being known of one being used.
@@Brobu soldiers all over the world used music throughout history. I dont see why the romans wouldnt.... marching gets boring man, so im sure this was a thing.
@@Brobu I dont know if developed songs like this were, but basic melodies were used to maintain the pace, also to not think about the marching and the fatigue. The legionaries used to march tens of kilometers in a single day
Imagine in every village in the corner of the world listening to this in the distance
Amazing, to see the whole thing without the movie scenes.
This gave me massive chills
Imagine singing this together with the bois in the school's bathroom that'd be sick
It's so epic not even the quality can describe it
Isso é de da arrepios. Roma Eterna!

This studio: MAKING ROMAN EMPIRE AGAIN.
I love how there’s a Signifer

What a find! I've replayed the scene in the movie many times for the song alone
The Romans, the eternal culture, the forefathers of Europe and half of the western world, such a sad thing they dont live here today anymore, the might and glory of rome is so EPIC
In many ways they still live, modern countries that they generated just don't live up to the comparison.
Greetings from a Roman,
Roma Invicta
The Roman Empire suffered from economic and technological stagnation and was far too reliant on slavery (and didn't have to innovate labor saving devices or adopt better worker's rights). If the Roman empire survived, then Europe might not have become as advanced as it did. It was competition between many different European powers and the reduction of its dependence on slavery that kicked off the European techno-economic revolutions and the exploration of other continents.
It didn't fell in a day
it faded into nothing
too slow to notice
And it is happening again
now is a crime to speak about it
Roman culture and blood exists in pretty much every western country on the planet. Without Rome, all the world powers in the west would not exists today. Rome was the birthplace of all of it.
Rumor has it this group of weekend cosplayers conquered 3/4 of the Iberian Peninsula in a single afternoon.
