Now that's a movie. Simple, nothing much of cgi, graphics or great tension hovring around.. Just a normal person's life journey..

Mark Negrido I like the movie "Girl, interrupted", but it may not be for everyone. It's also rated R so don't watch it if you're uncomfortable with certain topics or a kid.

Seen an early preview of this film and i highly recomend it. A true classic American comming of age story that touches on so many modern day issues regarding family life. It also has President Snow(Donald Sutherland)...you gota love President Snow😁👍

nah, its based off the book My Big Fat Summer, he gets the bully in the water and near drowns him

When you're dealing with bullies just take a chunk out of them and they'll back off. Bullies only attack if they think they won't get hurt seriously. Take that illusion away.

Just watched the whole film again today. This is a kick-ass story. Uplifting, sharp af, great acting too. Wanting to be friends with Rob forever...and eventually put some people down the drain for sure!
Its a great movie with a real script 10/10 thought they did not make them like this anymore...if it was screened in the 70's it would have been a hit today its a classic

My high school bully was a couple of years older (had to redo his grades twice), shortly after he turned 18 and gave me one of my regular beatings I went to the police and pressed charges of assault of a minor. He quickly started apologizing and he kept apologizing to me, and I asked him why. I asked him if he was scared that for the next couple of years prisoners are going to do to him what he did to me on a regular basis for nearly 5 Years. His mom coming over to my house crying her eyes out realizing that her little boy could be spending years in jail while everyone else was going to study, was more than enough revenge for me, I withdrew the charges with a promise that if I ever hear he assaults anyone I will be very happy to stand as a witness for that person. I have since moved away but truly hope he has turned his ways around.
So he got away with it. Should have pressed charges, he was laughing at you for the next 5 years
I heard that this film was shot in Rhode Island. If that's true and that's pretty cool because it's not often the smallest state in the US gets entertainment attention. It'd also be cool to see an amazing movie like this and say "hey, that was filmed in my home state" 😊

if i recall correctly, i had one bully growing up in like middle school. i didnt like the guy and he didnt like me (obviously). most people would say stand up for yourself and fight back (which to a certain level, i agree with), but what i did was more..... passive. i instead mingled my way into his group of friends, slowly growing my influence and relationships within that clique, and becoming friends with his friends. eventually he grew the f*ck up and matured enough to realize he hated me for no real reason and we later shook hands and hung out here and there.

1) "As if . . . " bravest line of the year, perhaps the decade.; 2) During the "Oink like a pig" scene, they should have made reference to "Deliverance," is it was only four years earlier.; 3) Um, no, far from what the trailer claims, it is light years apart from "Dirty Dancing."

Amitabh Sharma Wow. Given the ease of access to most information these days it was surprisingly hard to find this.
The song is called “Song to the Sea” by MBM and it’s on a weird album called “Soulful Lounge Grooves in the Heart” with lots of other artists and songs.
Could've used the Shazam app. It may not have worked though with all the trailer dialogue.
