This is a neat trail. I appreciate the description of all the trails. You did choose a sweet camp site. Very nice. I love your plan for having a base camp and bagging all the surrounding peaks. Perfect! Your camp site had a nice fire pit. Glad you made it through the storms. Good decision on not taking that trip to Slide Mountain.....safety first! I definitely need to make it up to the Catskills some time. Enjoyed the hike. Take care, friend!
I agree that does look like a nice area. Your camp site was awesome, but I believe I would have to scatter those cairns next to the river, I'm not a fan of cairns LOL! Glad you made it through the storms, I guess it's a fact of life in summer. I look forward to seeing you come back to this area, sounds like you have a good plan to explore it further.
Great video!! Any possibility you could let me know where you went in? I’m planning a trip with 5 buddies this fall and would like to try this route. Most of us will be first timers!! Doing a Fri, Sat and Sunday deal. We all fly fish so I would like to get close to the Never Sink. Any info would be great!! TY!!
where did you start from for this and where are the sites? if you have a map I would really appreciate it. did giant ledge and panther last weekend and it was great
Camped there last August. Pretty sure this is Table & Peekamoose, not Slide. Check out www.catskillmountaineer.com/SMW-peekamoose.html for the details. Great walk in the woods w/ great place to hang. Glad you enjoyed!
Check out the IRIDIUM STOVE.... its built for a backcountry adventure.....very simple and easy to use...no moving parts....dual fire apps.....guaranteed for life.....they are sweet
Did slide a couple of years ago.Took the short route ,only four miles from the backside. But still tough. You got great videos, and I learn a lot.

Really enjoying this series of my favorite region. You did the safe thing aborting after the storm, and now you have an excuse to go back!
Thanks for watching. I do love the 'Skills.
As always a very beautiful place. Look forward to you and Jeb returning.
Thanks for watching. There is much to explore in the Catskills...years of exploring actually.

Outstanding video, great camp and what a beautiful place! ~Dawn
I seen your channel from Smell the Rose's and thought I would stop by. We are hikers from the smoky Mountains area.
The finger lakes trail is so long. I was just on a branch trail last week. Beautiful place.
Prevention of unnecessary injury was wise ! Glad u got to camp !
Better save then sorry!

Can you give the direction?
I camped in that exact spot!
How come nobody every talks about parking fees and how safe the parking is in camping video's? It's like they just magically appear on the trail.
Point taken.
@@neon333 Thanks, I hope you can talk about it in your next video.
