At 64 years young and disabled with a muscle disease, I still exercise 5 days a week albeit from a chair due to my disability. I take care of my skin and am mindful of what I eat. It shows because I recently went out with some friends and they kept commenting on my skin and how I was “glowing”. I was a skin care hopper but I have now settled down into a morning and night routine that is working for me. By the way, your hair looks fabulous with those waves.
Watching your content is my therapy, Kelly! I’m so grateful for you and your channel 💙 Every Tuesday and Thursday morning I watch you and forget about all the chaos in my life and the world. I just want you to know you are making an impact in ways you may not even realize. 😊
I look forward also to her videos every Tues & Thurs. While I'm getting ready for work or days off I look forward to Kelly as part of my morning routines ❤
Hi Kelly when I very first started with skincare forty years ago now😮(aged 12 and I am 52) I was taught it was from the hairline to the bust. I use all my skincare on my neck and chest too (apart from a spot treatment or something obviously). I wash my face very intentionally and concentrate at my nose plus chin where I can be prone to congestion. A washcloth is an essential in my experience to rinse off cleanser properly ie get into the hairline, remove from the neck and chest without getting water absolutely everywhere. I have mobility/back pain severe issues and I cannot bend over a sink for any length of time, but even when I was younger and very fit I used a cloth (I am not really sure why this "splash it off" thing became popular 😂). My skin despite lifelong eczema and rosacea development during menopause is still really pretty good for my age (and much admired amongst my friends), but it's forty years of taking care of it and sun avoidance tbh. There is no miracle in a bottle even forty years on from where I started, although the variety of products available has grown exponentially 😂. Best wishes x
I love being a geek on ingredients (INCIdecoder, anyone?), and I rely heavily on your knowledge, Kelly. So I try to be specific on my own skin goals. That said, I'm certainly guilty of buying products not specifically targeted at me, but just because they were appealing to me in some sort of way. So, great advice there. Excellent video, as always ⭐
I believe it depends on your skin type and what you’re using as to whether you need to cleanse in the morning. Some skin types benefit from just using water in the mornings. I do believe in double cleansing, with kind products twice in the evening. Once gets rid of the majority of what’s on your face, the second cleans your skin.
I had the best skin of my life coming out of a hospital stay! I thought for sure my face would be a mess after days of not doing my skincare routine, but I'd also had an IV line pumping 100ml of water per hour into me! I was SO glowy! Now I try to drink 100ml of water an hour haha
🙋♀️ I am a hopper too, but only because I'm curious about so many products.. they're all in the same category usually but still want to try them alllll lol
I love cleansing!! It feels so refreshing, so I do spend time massaging my oil cleanser in. It’s so delightful! I also have been realizing my skin breaks out with inflammation in my body, so when I eat too much sugar, and too much of certain foods my body seems to process poorly, I have breakouts. But avoiding those things for me, and drinking green tea help. Things that are good for my body anyway, so at least it works both ways! I just sucks how long it takes a breakout to go away when I do eat something my body doesn’t like. 😂
Omg KELLY! *Please* tell us about *Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate!!!* And a *Geek and Gorgeous Brand review!* I think I'm in love 😍 I only tried 3 products! THESE I can easily stick with. Omg, legitimately. And WHY didn't you tell me about the Geek & Gorgeous aPAD, 20% Azeclair?! I didn't know that Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate EXISTED! Aside from the Amazing Azelaic Acid benefits, it's *far more hydrating* than any glycerin or HA products but WITHOUT STICKINESS/TACK!* I've tried the deep hydration products you've suggested.. but THIS! So much more efficacious! I'm in 0% humidity, glycerin dries fast on the surface of my skin. 😍
Hello Kelly, thank you for all those tips! I agree on almost all but I'm afraid I have to disagree about the cleansing step ;) I myself have greatly reduce this step over the year (I only use a cleansing oil instead of a double cleanse, once a day, with a short contact time) and my skin is better now, more balanced, more glowy and less sensitised 🙂
As long as it's working well for you, you're tuned into cleansing! And just to clarify I'm not saying use cleanser on your face for 60 seconds, just the process itself should be approached with a mindful and slower approach, even if that's just using water to cleanse your face.
Dear Kelly! Thank you so much for all your amazingly thoughtful videos! ❤ I recently discovered your channel and went back through years of your videos and even rewatched so many of them 😁 I would really like to know your approach towards the comedogenic ingredients. As someone with sensitive combo skin, I am running away from everything that app is saying it is comedogenic. So I would really like to know your thoughts about that… Thank you ☺️
I take my time for cleansing simce I don't double cleanse. Love your videos! I'm such a skincare hopper and i making it a goal to not be a skincare hopper. Im trying to use all my toners i bought by doing diy sheet masks but im narrowing down what sers and toners i want to use permanently but its so hard!
Yes I think it works really well for a lot of people, myself included! Too much cleanser (even gentle ones) can be stripping for the skin and often in the AM we don't have much to break down that mindful water washing won't take care of!
Hello dear Kelly ,my skin is dry, dehydrated and acne prone .when ever I use cream which has zinc in it ,my skin color gets darker. Even with sunscreen. I want to use zinc as it is good for acne but because of this problem I am not able to use it .can you pls help me ?

Nobody deep dives into skincare products like Kelly does - fabulous and well worth a subscribe imo! 🙏💛
You look so pretty with your beachy waves, Kelly. Thank you for another wonderful video. I appreciate you 🫶🩷

The way u talk really admires me. ❤ this kind of honest and entertaining videos and of course ur skincare videos as well.

Oh no, I'm a hopper😮 Love your videos and TY for sharing your knowledge
I'm a hopper as well:( But it's usually because they either look awful under my make-up or my skin still feels dehydrated.
🙋♀️ I am a hopper too, but only because I'm curious about so many products.. they're all in the same category usually but still want to try them alllll lol
I keep my actives the same ( vitamin c, tretinoin, copper peptides) but use many different hydrators like essence and toners. I see great results
Thank you Kelly for everything you do for us! We love you!!
I do use the 60 second cleansing method. I work my cleanser into my skin and I have to say it helps to distress.
I did a free 10 min self care this morning. I stretched before getting ready for work. Lol.
Oh, I love those kinds of mornings!
Thank youuuu❤ i love love your hair
Thank you! Sending you love! 💖

That's so good you're figuring out what works and what doesn't! It's a journey for sure but so helpful!
Thank you so much, Kelly! ❤Yet another heartfelt session with useful advice❤

@KellyDriscoll ❤️
I might be a hopper, but after I finish a product:-)
That's not really a hopper, it's sensible to empty something first!

It's definitely hard and takes time, it sounds like you're on the right path!
Do you consider washing your face with water in the morning to be enough?
Yes I think it works really well for a lot of people, myself included! Too much cleanser (even gentle ones) can be stripping for the skin and often in the AM we don't have much to break down that mindful water washing won't take care of!
