    We need :
    - positions 1 & 3 + versatile
    - good defender (both)
    - at least 1 can shoot
    - can play in system, no ball dominance
    Plan A - bigger size
    (4th) Risacher (8th) Castle
    Plan B - smaller size
    (4th) Sheppard (8th) Holland

I agree with everything you're saying. Both of the players you give in both plans can defend, which I think is important.

I say we draft Buzelis with the 4th pick and Reed Shepard with the 8th pick. I’d prefer getting Nikola Topic with the 8th pick do to his natural ability to facilitate, but I doubt he’ll be around that long.
Then the issue with drafting Dillingham with the 8th is that he’s extremely ball dominant. With Dillingham we could end up having way to many guys on the team that need the ball in their hands to be effective. That’s why I’d say pass.

I think that we could use Dillingham's ability as a shooter to play him off-ball when we want the ball in Wemby's or another player's hands. Im actually afraid of Topic when he doesn't have the ball in his hands. He's not someone that is a good shooter, although he could definitely develop an outside shot. Topic is a player that is the best when the ball is in his hands so he can drive or facilitate. I still like Topic though because his upside might be the best amongst the players I named.
Buzelis and Sheppard would both be great picks in my opinion. Both can shoot and defend to a level, and Sheppard is a good playmaker which addresses all of our needs.
      Thank you for replying!

i like the idea of getting whichever wing they like best out of Holland/Risacher/Buzelis/Castle at 4 and then drafting the best guard remaining at 8. the only team that needs a guard before 8 are the Wizards and there’s a shot Houston drafts one too. this means that at least one out of Rob, Reed, or Topic should be there at 8 (unless DET, CHA, or POR trades down with a guard-needy team but i don’t think they would)

The more I think about it, the more I like this idea.

    The Piston taking Bronny

I actually really like Bronny. He's going to be a good shooter and defender in the NBA with the correct development.

Very good takes - I think I would go with a forward with our first pick Holland/Mantas/Risch...with our 8th pick looking at Castle/Dilly/Sheppard

Yeah looking a little more into it, a lot of teams around us don't need point guards. We could definitely take a forward or wing and then let a guard fall to 8th to us! Thanks for the support!

Pls do NOT draft Dillingham. Draft Combine shows he is 6’1 and weighs 160lbs. Umm, how is he going to pass to Wemby when he cant see over 6’5 / 6’7 guards. Not to mention he will not be able to handle physical guards. With Topic hurt, Buzelis makes sense. Knecht would be great at 8 if Spurs decide not to go with Topic

@@paulf2123 while I understand the concern over Dillingham's height, there have been 6'1 guards who are successful in the NBA. Darius Garland is one that immediately comes to mind.

We need Rebounding which will lead to more possessions and Defense which should lead to more transition opportunities. 3 point shooting definitely needs to improve and so does offensive creation but we weren’t last in those categories and the old adage is Defense wins championships for a reason. I think we should draft Stephon Castle, Kel’el Ware, Ryan Dunn and Johnny Furphy

    • @corrupt-9534
      @corrupt-9534  23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

I like Stephon Castle a lot! Good playmaker and defender. Ware, Dunn, and Furphy are interesting picks mostly because those players aren't usually mocked or predicted in the top ten. They would provide defense and rebounding like you emphasize, but do they have higher potential than guys like Buzelis, Holland, Clingan, etc you know?

Topic is injured yet again. Pass.
Dilly and Risachier if we can swing them

Risacher would be a great pick for us. He provides shooting, transition offense, and help defense that would benefit the Spurs a ton!
