that’s kinda pointless, most people don’t know you need LOS along side with the ally being in your range for inspire to work, so having a timer doesn’t matter cause it’s not like you can start inspire and run over to someone who didn’t initially get it and give it to them
The problem with that concept is that Brig's Inspire works differently than Lucio's aura. Brig's Inspire is more like a wave that pulses at the instance of damage which means if you hit a Whip Shot to trigger Inspire then walk into the LOS of a teammate who was out of LOS at the instance of dealing damage, that teammate wouldn't receive the healing. For the number to work, it would have to show up whenever Brig is dealing damage rather than a constant number like Lucio's. IMO, that would get fairly distracting and with Brig's healing being a 20m radius, it's big enough where anyone who's in her LOS will get the healing.
@@uncontinued5064 They can just indicate the number of people who got hit by the pulse and are currently receiving healing, with a cross in the middle of the screen to show if it's active or not. I think a UI element for inspire is really necessary as it will incentivise players to interact more with this core mechanic of her kit, and will help people see they are getting value out of brig, even if they don't feel like they are protecting their team much. I think that half the player base don't even know of inspire because of how practically invisible it is, and it will just get worse with the healing passive making inspire unnoticeable.
I really like the idea of Kiri's change but I think it would be to cluttered during a team fight having 4 people with big numbers over their heads. I think it would be better if You used the same sort of ui icon as Illari, brig and zen where the Icon to tp shows up but fills up the closer you are. (I know its nitpicky and is extremally similar to the other 3, but when I saw when walking up to the Ram I just imagined in an actual game it would feel like Skyrim or an open world game with a bunch of task bars everywhere lmao)
The text size is there just to demonstrate the effect. It’s a little hard to find the right size. Is zen and mercy needs range and LOS, I’m sure the same effect can be used for Kiriko’s abilities
It only shows up from teammate farther than 35m but closer than 50m tho, sure there are scenarios where it’d clutter your screen but surely that’s one in a hundred game thing right?
I think it would be more useful an ultimate timer to Lifeweaver's ult, than a Lifegrip indicator. Also, I think it would be neat to show the Nano duration bar to the ally that receives the Nano too
yeah for LW i was thinking a distance indicator would be better if making a ui for lifegrip, a timer for tree would be good for people who can't hear the pattern
I would make some changes with the Kiri one. I find that the problem with swift step is mainly that teammates do not try and go towards a kiri to close the gap so they can swift step out of danger quicker, when they’re too far. It’d be nice if when using swift step, but nobody is in range, it would cue a voiceline from Kiri and a little message in chat directed at the nearest player, or whoever your crosshair is on that you are attempting to swift step to “ help (Kiriko) swift step to safety!”
I really like how cleanly presented your videos are, it really helps to highlight the great quality of Overwatch's artwork, while also being satisfying to see.
I think the most necessary UI element right now is actually for Brig inspire. It's such an important part of her kit yet it's so unnoticeable to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if half the player base aren't even aware of its existence, and I don't think a quarter of Overwatch player know exactly how it works. Rather than the almost invisible yellow pulse that get lost in the flail and shield animations and only participate to the visual clutter of overwatch, what about having a cross symbol in the middle of brig screen above the packs that shows the number of people currently receiving the passive, and that would switch from full to empty when the passive stop being applied. This would encourage more people to engage with inspire and help new players understand how this passive works and how to get value on brig. I think it would also be nice to have the same symbol as when you get healed by Zen/Mercy to show the team that brig is contributing.
This is my exact thoughts on this haha. Inspire is the most confusing passive in the game and even my friend in high masters didn't know how it worked until I explained it lol
adding a number in the UI for brig doesn't help new players though, it probably adds to confusion as they'd expect it work like Lucio and follow Brig around. Rewording the passive text on Hero Details would be a better step in players understanding it. Don't have a problem with the teammate suggestion though
@@TheHankScorpio Well it's still better to have something than nothing at all, after a while players will notice that the number only goes up when they hit someone.
that's some nice quality of life changes! I love having info on my UI. I'm a Lifeweaver and Mercy main, love to see these ideas, they would be incredible! I feel like none of it really clutters the screen too, very ergonomic
Great video! I have some thoughts Ana- Seems helpful, but I actually think it would be better for the player who receives the nano to see the bar. I don’t know how many times I overextended while having nano and not knowing how much time I had left Baptiste- Helpful change. It’s a little clutter-y, but it works in the same vein as Lucio’s crossfade and classic mercy’s mass rez. Brigitte- As a brig player, you don’t know how much I would love to have that armor pack ui installed. Having a clearer indicator of when my armor packs will be back would be so handy Illari- I think that is helpful. Often I would shoot the sun and frantically try to hit the enemy not knowing when the debuff would run out. Juno- I actually think this one is really unnecessary. Other games have a feature like this and it often confuses me if it’s showing current health or projected health. Especially in the heat of battle I won’t notice the flashing health bar. I think of it this way, when aiming with Ana’s rifle it doesn’t show you how much healing they will receive. Pointing your gun as Cassidy at an enemy wont show you how much damage they will take. Kiriko- might look annoying with that many numbers on screen, but I think that would help. I often have trouble eyeballing how close I need to be to tp. Lifeweaver- Pretty small change and I think mostly unnecessary. A good lifeweaver would know when the ability is back online from muscle memory. But I think some people will find it handy. Lucio- I know it’s a joke, but a speed meter would be hilarious and a lot of fun. No practical use, but I can imagine it being a fun secondary ui for casual use. Mercy- I’ve been on the receiving end of wanting to change character but getting rezed. As a mercy player I want to support my team the best I can so knowing they are going to switch would help a ton. Moira- knowing the number of damage/healing left isn’t super useful to me, but I can imagine it would help out pro players. Also knowing how long the orb will last is helpful. Good change. Zenyatta- helpful change. Not much else to say other than it would help to know when the orb starts expiring. Although the discord orb vanishes so quickly I’m not sure if that makes a difference, for ally orb that would help.
Ana - 0:53 it shows on Lucio's UI. Juno - He prefaced the change by talking about Juno having crazy technology so it seems reasonable imo. Only thing that might be janky would be the health bar fluctuation based on damage/healing that hero is taking/receiving.
Ana- You’re right I missed it. My bad Juno- Just because it’s lore accurate doesn’t mean it’s a good addition. If people like it’s fine but it’s probably the only one of these I’d turn off personally.
6:55 I honestly think this change is great, but I would also like an option to "deny resurrection" so even if the Mercy player misses the hero switch warning, it should give the dead teammate a bit more control
I really hope blizzard sees this and actually takes you on to the team your ideas are awesome and genuinely show how the game can be so much better with just simple small changes

Brig should also have an indicator showing when she has active inspire healing / or when and who it’s actually healing. Sometimes you can proc inspire in weird spots and an object somewhere blocks the healing area.
5:31 For Lucio, some sound waves emanating out from Lucio when he uses his E (amp it up?) for the duration of the ability would be good. I guess it would be more of a visual effect though, but you could still have the icon under his reticle showing how many players benefit from it too.

Great video, Blizzard needs to hire you right now, I hope your channel blows up.👍🏾 Also, excellent editing to give a visual representation of your UI concepts, I know that took some time to make.
One simple UI element I would add is for Ramattra is to see his barrier cooldown in nemesis form. Way too many times I go out of nemesis form to place a barrier, only for it to still be on cooldown.
Really awesome changes, cant wait to see what you'll cook for Tank and DPS! As a Doom main, i would really appreciate a timer that shows when my voicelines are off cooldown.
I got this video as a random recommendation. After watching it you definitely got a new subscriber. This is very well done. Feels like Marblr level work went into this video. Keep up the good work.
I think one improvement for your brigitte idea would be that just the outline would “load” and when one pack has been restored the whole icon will show, to stop the inconvenience of clicking thinking your pack was ready when in reality it was just an inch from finishing.
Nailed every single one, nice job! For the Zenyatta, it would also be helpful for the enemy discarded to have the meter aswell so they have an idea when to repeak after breaking LoS
You would think we would have Stuff like this we don’t even have any real information for the number of people affected by bleed or shout that would be so useful for JQ just knowing that information
so many of these would be great, I'm especially fond of the mercy addition. As a mercy main I can't tell you how many times I've rez'ed a teammate only for them to be upset because they were changing. This happens even when i'm playing with friends. Sometimes people change and just don't say anything so there's no way for mercy to know. It's a very clever idea that should be implemented right away.
I feel like these QOL changes are actually applicable to a lot of other hero’s too; Sombra’s hack, dynamite burn time, purple/anti duration, Queen’s shout, Lucio’s beat (like nano and/or like Moira’s suggestion), sleep duration for Ana and target, Mercy’s taxi distance, Bob timer which shows Bob’s status effects and when he dies, Mei freeze time, or even Hammond’s overshield duration to list a few
i think it would be cool if the illari sun meter depleted in a radial direction (like a clock) just because the sun has that radial symmetry, but it also makes sense to keep it a horizontal line depletion for consistency w/ other abilities
I think what I would add to Illiari's ultimate, is an additional ring around the buff that fills up as damage is dealt to the target, so you know how much damage needs to be taken to activate
Honestly, some of these changes could help remove clutter from the screen as well, which would be a huge benefit to the game. Having icons instead of "big orange aura" would help players discern the difference between enemy Overdrive, enemy on fire, enemy nano, etc. much faster than they currently do. I really hope the devs see this video.
That Zenyatta one would be AWESOME. I feel irritated when we're walking to the point and my faster teammates are rooms ahead of me and I don't know when it will break contact
Ahhh i love this so much! The editing is so eye catching and cool! I’d love to see some dps stuff, the idea for tracers blinks sounds really helpful Might be a bit extra but maybe there could be something to indicate that recall is ready because i often find myself timing it in my head only to press it too early and die 😭 (skill issue, i know) i just feel that tracer is such a fast character that sometimes i dont have time to look at the bottom of my screen for my cooldowns when im fighting!
That Lifeweaver change gets you a kiss, RIGHT ON THE MOUTH! I cannot count the times I've spammed E not knowing the cooldown because I can't look away or else somebody dies ;w;
I love almost all of these! The Juno one seems odd because i'm not aware of anything else in the game that shows predicted/future health changes like that. Everything else is great, especially the 'maybe don't rez me' indicator
1 Min in the Ana change is awesome. I'd double down and see your ally should see this bar too. Whoever is getting nanoed. That way they have more information
Sophisticated fight showed up on my spotify yesterday and I heard it for the first time, feels kind of odd now hearing it here too 😂 Superb editing btw it looks so professional!
somebody needs to get this to blizzard YESTERDAY. These are all fire changes, without feeling cluttered, like you warned in the beginning. They were all easy to understand and fit the aesthetic of the game SO well. Very well done!
I would love to have a UI element that visually tells players how many teammates will be effected by Brigitte's "inspire" healing at the time of its activation, since it works similar to Baptiste's regen in that, you have to be in range of teammates for it to heal anyone. Inspire also does NOT follow her when it activates, It only heals at the point of its activation... but i don't think a lot of people know this.
These were great! Really liked the Zen one, though I wish the depletion graphic element also happened on Zens ability icon down to the right as I often loose track of my orbed team mate and would want to be able to make sure they are within line of sight to me with a quick glance of my UI.
These UI changes are very well put together! I love the majority of them. Some for me such as Lifeweaver maybe nice but I find it a little niche since even for a hero like Zarya I completely forgot she has two indicators to show her bubble usage. Maybe something to show tree's duration would be better. Still for many of these they would be great quality of life UI/UX changes!
yea but it would kinda be confusing since it can change course by being deflected by Genji, being eaten by Sigma, and Dva, etc. and it could run out of heals/dmg way before its destined paths end.
Love all of them. Maybe one feedback - showing how many HP will be taken out for Juno's rockets is a problem, because you can't see enemies' healthbars until you damage them
I love the Zenyatta change, but I think it would also be much better if the harmony + discord icons (next to your ult icon) deplete on your HUD. This is to allow you to focus more on the enemies in front, instead of needing to check your team mate's harmony duration by looking behind you.
These are all excellent. One critique i have is that the nano ui bar takes the spot of other similar bars, so a way to have multiple bars would be needed. Also a target count for brigs inspire would be amazing
For Moira, the problem is with the gamemodes that allow to spam orbs. Plus the orb is kind of a "throw and forget" ability. Once used, you continue to either dmg or (haha) heals. (Also, as a colorblind, the purple timer is almost invisible to me, had to focus to see it.)
Which Role should I do next? Tank or DPS? Let me know!
And feel free to suggest any UI changes for heroes in those 2 roles :)

looove the design work, for the concepts and the video!!!! this is soo nice and literally every change is a great improvement that id love in game
Dude the editing of this video is absolutely insane, people don’t understand the amount of time making things like this takes HOLY you are amazing
WAIT THE MERCY ONE IS ACTUALLY SO GENUIS I NEED THIS IN LIVE YESTERDAY
I think one improvement for your brigitte idea would be that just the outline would “load” and when one pack has been restored the whole icon will show, to stop the inconvenience of clicking thinking your pack was ready when in reality it was just an inch from finishing.
Nailed every single one, nice job! For the Zenyatta, it would also be helpful for the enemy discarded to have the meter aswell so they have an idea when to repeak after breaking LoS
You would think we would have Stuff like this we don’t even have any real information for the number of people affected by bleed or shout that would be so useful for JQ just knowing that information
Dude, I love the production and care you give to your videos. Have you thought of during hero concepts? They would look amazing
so many of these would be great, I'm especially fond of the mercy addition. As a mercy main I can't tell you how many times I've rez'ed a teammate only for them to be upset because they were changing. This happens even when i'm playing with friends. Sometimes people change and just don't say anything so there's no way for mercy to know. It's a very clever idea that should be implemented right away.
these videos always fascinate me, you are incredibly creative
I feel like these QOL changes are actually applicable to a lot of other hero’s too;
Sombra’s hack, dynamite burn time, purple/anti duration, Queen’s shout, Lucio’s beat (like nano and/or like Moira’s suggestion), sleep duration for Ana and target, Mercy’s taxi distance, Bob timer which shows Bob’s status effects and when he dies, Mei freeze time, or even Hammond’s overshield duration to list a few
love your trails in the sky music choices
i think it would be cool if the illari sun meter depleted in a radial direction (like a clock) just because the sun has that radial symmetry, but it also makes sense to keep it a horizontal line depletion for consistency w/ other abilities
The editing in this video is so good
You should be able to see the inspire radius for brig flail similar to how you did bap / how Lucio already operates
Thats some really high Quality Concepts
That Zenyatta one would be AWESOME. I feel irritated when we're walking to the point and my faster teammates are rooms ahead of me and I don't know when it will break contact
Mans out here putting more effort into the OW UI that the actual UX team that blizzard pays for 💀
As a lucio player I was waiting for some amazing new clever UI change I have never tought about. I was not disappointed
“Let me know which one of these UI changes you’d like to see in the game” All of them.. every single one of them.
Ahhh i love this so much! The editing is so eye catching and cool! I’d love to see some dps stuff, the idea for tracers blinks sounds really helpful
Might be a bit extra but maybe there could be something to indicate that recall is ready because i often find myself timing it in my head only to press it too early and die 😭 (skill issue, i know) i just feel that tracer is such a fast character that sometimes i dont have time to look at the bottom of my screen for my cooldowns when im fighting!
That Lifeweaver change gets you a kiss, RIGHT ON THE MOUTH! I cannot count the times I've spammed E not knowing the cooldown because I can't look away or else somebody dies ;w;
The lifeweaver one would definitely be nice and it’s such a small addition that I’m surprised blizzard never did it
This is genuinely fantastic. Especially the Mercy change-- I've had it happen often, and it's not only clean but efficient. Incredible work!
Dude, all of these are great!
Evil overwatch devs be like: im going to add all these useful ui elements and improve the player experience
Sophisticated fight showed up on my spotify yesterday and I heard it for the first time, feels kind of odd now hearing it here too 😂
Superb editing btw it looks so professional!
somebody needs to get this to blizzard YESTERDAY. These are all fire changes, without feeling cluttered, like you warned in the beginning. They were all easy to understand and fit the aesthetic of the game SO well. Very well done!
Blizzard need more people like you, with your ideas u can save ow
I would love to have a UI element that visually tells players how many teammates will be effected by Brigitte's "inspire" healing at the time of its activation, since it works similar to Baptiste's regen in that, you have to be in range of teammates for it to heal anyone. Inspire also does NOT follow her when it activates, It only heals at the point of its activation... but i don't think a lot of people know this.
These were great! Really liked the Zen one, though I wish the depletion graphic element also happened on Zens ability icon down to the right as I often loose track of my orbed team mate and would want to be able to make sure they are within line of sight to me with a quick glance of my UI.
i was also hoping for brig inspire range indicator (like lucio's aura) for the change but the repair pack is damn creative too
These UI changes are very well put together!
A line showing Moira's orb's predicted path would be cool.
yea but it would kinda be confusing since it can change course by being deflected by Genji, being eaten by Sigma, and Dva, etc. and it could run out of heals/dmg way before its destined paths end.
Making those ui changes takes a shorter amount of time than making this video lol
dude this editing is AMAZING!!!!!
Love all of them. Maybe one feedback - showing how many HP will be taken out for Juno's rockets is a problem, because you can't see enemies' healthbars until you damage them
Zen and Bap are the changes that after watching the video, become crucial
that Moria one and mercy would actually be so nice
I love the Zenyatta change, but I think it would also be much better if the harmony + discord icons (next to your ult icon) deplete on your HUD. This is to allow you to focus more on the enemies in front, instead of needing to check your team mate's harmony duration by looking behind you.
I'd love to see all of these in tha game! but the one I'd like to see the most is definitely Baptiste's shift indicator
These are all excellent. One critique i have is that the nano ui bar takes the spot of other similar bars, so a way to have multiple bars would be needed. Also a target count for brigs inspire would be amazing
You expect blizzard to actually put in the time and effort to make some simple UI changes? Don't be cruel man, they don't have the resources for this!
Great minds think alike, but seriously i had the exact same thought when i saw the Moira part.
sussy support hero at 0:20 👀
The Moira orb idea is genius and looks extremely clean!! Great video
So good. I died laughing at the Lucio one
Lucio players simply need a giant boop kill count aggressively shown on the center of their screen
