    Thank you for this tutorial. My daughter got this machine last year and after about a month it needed to be restrung. Our machine did not have directions so this is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you!! Now if I can just get it to sew again I will be happy. It worked right after I threaded it and now it won't not sure what I did and of course I was trying to show my daughter how great it works 🙈

    Nice tutorial. I bought a tiny sewing machine from QVC years ago. Last year used it for sewing on paper. Back in box because I bought a Brother Project with many stitches. Use that for easy repairs and sewing on paper.

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My initial review on this was to sew on paper (a card). It works great for that. Too funny y mention a Brother with many stitches, before i moved here I sold my Brother sewing machine...then got nostalgic for it because you could program the alphabet in it and it would sew a name or phrase over and over. It was so cool!!! So....three days ago I bought it again off of JoAnn.com! LOL! I'll review it when it comes in bc that's such a cool feature, it's not the Project Runway one. Oh, and by the way, sewing machines on Amazon, Target, so many other online stores are sold out!!!! I guess people are buying them up to make masks. When I went to send my sister the link to the one I bought on JoAnn...it was sold out!!!! 30 minutes after I bought it! Crazy! Her husband ended up finding a machine for her on eBay.

I Google absolutely everything, your first video came up, then the second. I was so happy because the thread came out of my machine and since It’s my first time using a sewing machine the directions weren’t too helpful. YOU ARE AN ABSOLUTE LIFE SAVER...THANK YOU AGAIN 😊😊😊😊😊😊

    also as a side note: i actually have the smartek rx-07 mini rex, not the singer. turns out it is the exact same machine, only the red/white color scheme is inverted. i found your instructions on accident. there is nothing online for my machine, only the rx-08 which is completely different. hopefully my comment will help others with this same machine to find your video as well. thank you again and keep em coming. you’re great. I love your videos on this little guy, but I have a question. Im a beginner sewer, as in ive not even touched a sewing machine since high school home economics type classes, and ill be 40 next month if that tells you anything 🤣 So I'm wondering how I can do a backstitch since this machine doesn't do that and it seems its pretty necessary for most projects (that use fabrics at least). Also, I read the manual and thought I understand how to wind a new bobbin using the machine, but apparently I'm confused because the red piece that came in the bag, which is longer than the others, I thought I was suppose to put that thru a normal spool of thread and put it in the place that the usual top bobbin goes, and then the empty bobbin goes on very top, but that long red piece for the normal thread spool doesn't fit into that spot. Its too big for the hole. Hope I'm making sense, but if I'm not, hopefully you can st least answer the backstitch issue I'm having.

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the backstitch...I just turn the knob backward. If that's difficult or gets stuck...try lifting the presser foot a bit so you can turn the thing you're sewing and then go back up it. Does that make sense? That's essentially a backstitch. I don't know about the bobbin thing, I thought it was supposed to work like you said!

      @@VianneyCreates thank you so much! That's a big help. I do get what you're saying about turning the item around and going back up. I can do that! Lol

  • @karencradic3727

    If you hold the end of your needle thread and pull it when your bobbin thread comes up you can pull it up and won't lose the bobbin thread

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is true! It wasn't pulling up enough of the little bobbin thread...it was probably hard to see but it would barely pull up a little end....that's why it kept not pulling through like a normal machine would do!! (: I got it, though!!

    • @VianneyCreates
      @VianneyCreates  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't adjust bobbin tension, on any machine...it's all handled by the tension gauge/knob on top of the machine. On this one it's that springy thing on the top.
