When I was 6 I was bitten by a duck and now 16 years later duck is one of my favorite types of meat. I haven't thought about it much before, but I think this is my little way of taking revenge.

These two are having a great impact on each other. Ironically, I think they're both making each other more confident and self-assured. Steven is more aware of his own coolness, and Andrew is more comfortable being a little silly sometimes. It really makes the series extra fun to watch. Season 5! Let's do it!

I love how this video was published on June 3, 2018 and yet towards the end you see it snowing in the background. Just goes to show how much time and effort goes into editing these episodes. This show Worth-it hands down deserves its own TH-cam channel and even an actual Netflix series or cable tv program. I love the hosts and love how they always seem to balance professional and amateur styles perfectly. This always seems to look and feel like it would fit perfectly on the Travel Channel or Food channel. Absolutely blown away by the quality of this series.

Steven about the vegetables is so true, growing up in an Asian household the vegetables are always delicious. Western people neither have a wide variety of vegetables nor do they know how to properly cook it imo. They either just blanch/boil it or eat it as a salad with some sauce, no wonder you guys hate it.
Yeah and even when they have sauce added, it's so thick and fatty that it takes away the taste of the vegetable completely. So to them, they're just consuming ranch or whatever condiment they choose to use with vegetables on the side because they need to stay healthy.

That's a typical example of what large Chinese families (including mine when I was growing up) would cook to gather on weekends, except it doesn't cost nearly as much and it's served all at once on a lazy susan like Kyle Li said. I'm now in the US away from my family so seeing the last one made me a little home sick and I think for me it would be worth it to spend $340 to eat with a couple of friends.
Yeah for sure, that was my reaction as well. It seems like they do a good job there, I'm really happy there's a market for that kinda of restaurant in the USA. It kinda makes sense that they turned a meal into a 'tasting menu'. One of the things that I always tell people... what's awesome about Chinese style meals is that if ya got a bunch of friends/family *every* meal outside's basically a tasting menu ;)
HabituallyObsessed Gotta agree with this. I ate Peking duck at a restaurant in Beijing, and I was totally amazed. I though the way the dish was made had to be something exclusive to the restaurant. However, the more experienced people told me it was very similar at all restaurants
Back in summer of 2014, when I returned to China for a few week to visit my grandfather, he and I walked to a local Peking Duck place and got one for takeout. It was delicious! So much so that I went back there again the next day to get another one. My Grandpa had cancer at the time and he cant walk for long, so I went alone. The place remember me and asked: Wheres the old fella? I told him and he gave me extra wrappings and sauce. Once I again had Peking Duck with him for lunch, unfortunate this would be the last time I had a good meal with him as I China after 3 days and he passed away at the end of the year. RIP gramps, I love you, and I miss you very much. 1927-2014.
I think she was there to translate for them in person most likely stuff that was edited out to make it run smoothly... But she is a fun person and added her special flair to the episode 😊 I always enjoy when it's just the guys but the fun addtion of a friend every now and again is nice too
It has been happening with random videos for me all week. From vloggers I watch, to music videos, it works ok one day and the other it buffers until forever... But by the next day is ok again.
You should do a Worth It Grocery Shopping edition where you all buy the same ingredients but from different, more expensive brands at different, more expensive grocery stores and put all the ingredients together to see which food item is more worth it.

You guys should do an episode on Cheese. I know you've done Cheesecake, Cheesesteaks, and mac 'n' cheese, but there's so many cheese dishes, as well as different cheeses, that I feel like it should be fairly easy to get a Cheese episode.
FakeRei I’m fairly sure cream cheese is a type of cheese, at least in some way. My mum has her cheese allergy react to it as well as every other cheese. And it’s not a dairy allergy, she has at least 3 cups of tea a day with milk, and any other dairy product is fine as well. Just not cheese XP
I find it unfortunate that the restaurants didn’t discuss the ducks they source. Peking Duck requires very lean birds. In the US almost all the ducks are muskovy which is a much fattier heavier bird that’s easier to raise than the Peking breed (neat fact this comes from some species of ducks having migration behaviors which leads them to binge eat in certain seasons) that may not hold up to the same cooking strategy.

Indeed. That's a typical example of what large Chinese families (including mine when I was growing up) would cook to gather on weekends, except it doesn't cost nearly as much and it's served all at once on a lazy susan like Kyle Li said. I'm now in the US away from my family so seeing the last one made me a little home sick and I think for me it would be worth it to spend $340 to eat with a couple of friends.
Yeah for sure, that was my reaction as well. It seems like they do a good job there, I'm really happy there's a market for that kinda of restaurant in the USA.
It kinda makes sense that they turned a meal into a 'tasting menu'. One of the things that I always tell people... what's awesome about Chinese style meals is that if ya got a bunch of friends/family *every* meal outside's basically a tasting menu ;)
HabituallyObsessed Gotta agree with this. I ate Peking duck at a restaurant in Beijing, and I was totally amazed. I though the way the dish was made had to be something exclusive to the restaurant. However, the more experienced people told me it was very similar at all restaurants

Back in summer of 2014, when I returned to China for a few week to visit my grandfather, he and I walked to a local Peking Duck place and got one for takeout. It was delicious! So much so that I went back there again the next day to get another one. My Grandpa had cancer at the time and he cant walk for long, so I went alone. The place remember me and asked: Wheres the old fella? I told him and he gave me extra wrappings and sauce. Once I again had Peking Duck with him for lunch, unfortunate this would be the last time I had a good meal with him as I China after 3 days and he passed away at the end of the year. RIP gramps, I love you, and I miss you very much. 1927-2014.

I find it unfortunate that the restaurants didn’t discuss the ducks they source. Peking Duck requires very lean birds. In the US almost all the ducks are muskovy which is a much fattier heavier bird that’s easier to raise than the Peking breed (neat fact this comes from some species of ducks having migration behaviors which leads them to binge eat in certain seasons) that may not hold up to the same cooking strategy.
