This is how I fell in love with you Sierra. On the streets, busking, away from all that rubbish at the Opry and that over-produced studio stuff. This is the real thing, a totally intoxicating vocalist singing true and with heart.

I remember Sierra talking about her plan to make an album that was stripped down and old-timey, using old microphones for that sing-into-the-can sound. I was so psyched. Well it didn't happen. She obviously got bad guidance from the Rounder people. The album is still good, but could have been an all-time great.
@@peterblum613The people who were behind her have been left behind and forgotten in her quest for mainstream Country stardom. Tragic really. Her early fans loved the old-timey blues influenced alt country she played on the streets, and they followed her all the way. I have lost interest in her now. I bought her album and it was such a disappointment, I felt totally ripped off. I thought maybe it was a mistake, and she would correct it, but no, she's wearing cowboy hats and skirts, and doing the mainstream Country thing full on. And don't get me started on the make-up thing....
Ok ppl you need to think like this, you have to earn money to do what you want to do, not have to do. Like movie directors or actors, that make a studio picture so that can float enough to do projects they really want to do. Does this make sense to y'all?

I adore this song and they do it so well. I think Sierra is still working out the last verse as it needs a rhyme for mist. Maybe she could use "abyss" to rhyme with "mist"? ...I'll keep listening to hear her evolve this song to perfection.
