Totally agree, great devices. The new keyfob is larger as it uses a new type battery which lasts much longer, this change has been about a while now before the introduction of the new MM7. Monimoto also suggest you don't put the keyfob on your keys. Burglars are evermore breaking into houses to take key sets (because it's more convenient) and if the Monimoto is attached to your keys that's that plan scuppered!
Nope! Nothing that I've noticed anyway. I suppose the key will also be away from the bike when the tracker is armed so there shouldn't be a connection to get in the way
just bought a MM7, made a mockup of its dimensions, about the size of a pack of cards and expertly hidden on my bike- which was a challenge. Got it from the Sportsbikeshop as Martin and the team at Bikestop don't stock them
Had my ninja 1000sx stolen and got it back just over an hour with the police help exactly where monimoto said it was, and a guy got arrested. I have the cone looking one will upgrade to the new one tho.
Hi, so far you have the most useful video on the monimoto 7. Yours differs from mine in the settings menu. I have been trying to adjust the trigger range of the device on the motorcycle to my key fob. Yours makes sense: dial in the distance! Mine only has sensitivity as low default high. I assumed that my setting indicated if the bike was slightly moved to majorly moved that was what this setting was. In default, the alarm was going off with the fob 6" away!! Anyway, I just set it to low. We'll see. LOL

I ordered one for Labor Day sale. Seen a few videos on it and decided to give it a try. I’ve had 3 liter bikes taken 1 had an air tag (not bashing the oír tag but I can’t get a precise location on it) All 3 had full coverage and now I just finished a 2014 Hayabusa complete paint job, exhaust, dyno tune,quick shifter, and full radio. So being in South Florida I guess I will give this a test and see if it gets stollen can I get it back.
That sucks that you've had so many stolen! I tested it with my mate, there's a vid slightly more recently on my channel. Was surprised at how good it was!

I also spoke to riders for mental health (I hope I got the name right), they are doing great work to help promote bikes to combat mental health issues.

I’ve had two on different bikes & I’ve just got the new version for my new bike I subscribe to Datatool stealh5 twice and as you said in your older video you basically have to have it on a charger all the time so batteries don’t go flat this is far cheaper and in some ways a lot better .👍🏍🎉

Thank you! Both of them start warning you as soon as it moves. Mine will alarm if I lift it off the side stand, or sit on it! They have movement sensors in, so if it moves/shakes at all, it triggers!

Camera shops stock CR123 batteries lithium batteries last longer than alkaline batteries so I would recommend buying lithium AA batteries to use in their upgraded device.
How much time the batteries last in the new version compared to the old one? And also i have a 690 duke r and because its a naked/motard bike theres lack of places to hide it i need help in that .
The batteries in the new one are still going strong since I've posted this video, so that's 9-10 months so far. The old version used to last around 6 months, from memory. With the Duke, I'd suggest possibly taking off one of the panels and zip-tie the MM to the frame below. It took me a few attempts to find somewhere that I was happy with. Mine seems to be able to get a connection regardless of how many things are in the way!
there is no GSM coverage in my underground garage. I wonder how it will be with the battery life if the device searches for the range of the GSM network ?
Where I park at work, it's the same. 2 levels down in an underground carpark. The movement sensor still seems to work and pings the phone (not sure how) then I'd assume it sends GPS coordinates when it gets signal. Suppose that is the same for all GPS trackers though
Yes bud I have! I used it for a while but turned it off to conserve battery. Seemed a waste for it to tell me the bike was still in the garage, although peace of mind 😂

I suppose it wouldn't be far from a similar result, but personally I'd much rather use a purpose built product. Plus having this in my bike brought my insurance cost down over £100. Not entirely sure on the limitations of the Airtags etc, but I know you normally have to be within Bluetooth range for any accuracy on location. Worth a shot though

It's crazy isn't it! I ended up saving nearly the cost of the Monimoto in my first year insuring the KTM so worth checking with some dummy quotes to see if you would do the same
No! You can access the GPS location of it but it doesn't track routes I don't think. It will mark the last known location too so if it loses signal it shows the last point it had signal
Haha its okay! I've got the original MM2 in the car, the MM7 is in the bike. The GPS still seems to work as long as its not buried too deep, you have to turn the sensitivity up quite a bit as it doesn't sense the movement as well

Yes, that's the main reason they released the newer one. The new version runs on 4G. The older version is a few years old now and runs on 2G. Will speak to them to see if there is any plans for them to offer discount to upgrade

Just did a week long pyrenees trip back in September, 4kkm logged on the ODO for that one... you should check the region. Useless piece of garbage never connects to app had use 500 quid tablet to connect then said need update firmware then stuck on that until tablet battery DIES. Momimoto 7 refund ASAP please.

I'm with Bemoto this year! Last year was with Bikesure and I dont think they recognised it

No! You can access the GPS location of it but it doesn't track routes I don't think. It will mark the last known location too so if it loses signal it shows the last point it had signal

Have you spoken to Monimoto about that? I never have an issue with the 3 I have
