I did, It did look pretty rough to me as well but they did look like good welds just not pretty, which is hard to do on thin metal or u will burn right through... I'm no expert but I used to build limousines so I do know enough to know about safety so in my opinion it was not the best or safest that could have been done. If it were me, I would have capped off the front and rear pillars with a thick plate and then weld the cage down to that. little scary to be honest but what do I know right?
Also, for your logo at the end, it would look a little cleaner if you draw only half of it and then Mirror it. If you'd like I can do it up quickly for you?
Good to see somebody running this project out of his home garage, Im definetely following this. The lines of this kit are so cool. Question: how do the door windows work?? do they roll or are they fixed?? One suggestion: After paint, you might want to protect low/front painted areas from daily rock damage with 3m clear vinyl. Fiberglass tends to chip easier.....

The welder should have capped off the tops with plates then weld the bar on each plate. Dont want to be negative but he should have known that.

The windows are fully functional, you use the tracks and window glass from the g35 doors
