    This is truly fantastic for keeping your inner metronome or "meter" honest...
    And a host of other ideas come to mind!
    Thanks Dan 👍🏻

    Thanks Dan - have just downloaded this and played with looping voice (using iPhone and the stock earphones that come with it). Lots of fun to be had :)

    Are you recoding guitar drums through a mic? A few more details on the connections to the iPad would be helpful.

    Wow Dan, I gotta tell ya. You are a great player. Very versatile. I love the riffs you put down on this video. I just got a MIDI Commander pedal. It’s not bad, but could be better. I’ve been using Quantiloop. I’m going to give this one a try. I can see this one being great at creating small backing tracks or something like that. Cheers.

    Thanks very much for this Dan. Only $4.50 in Oz, having a ball. Connected to a Yamaha MX 61 via camera kit, then sent output via mixer to a Boss RC 202 loop station to add horns. What guitar were using here to get that bass sound? Thanks again.

    Anyone know how I can route the audio from another app into this looper? ie I have a Moog Synth app that I play with a midi keyboard connected to the iPad. How do I send the audio from this Synth into the L7 looper to record?

    • @jediwest
      @jediwest 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scott Moffat I use apps.apple.com/ca/app/audiobus-mixer-for-music-apps/id1129130361. I guess this site can inform you if your app is compatible. synthyfrog.com/app/audiokit-digital-d1-synth/. I connected the D1 synth for midi keyboard and Bias Fx 2 for my guitar and bass. Hope this helps.

      I have an old iPad from 2017 which works fine for this - it’s just the standard model, no pro or anything else...

    Hi Dan, how can I do like your video and have the video and audio synced? I want to record the video with my iPhone stationed across the room while recording live loops on my iPad nearby using GarageBand. Can I do this live and what cables/setup would help? Having trouble finding this answer. Thanks!

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      These days, a phone recording video and something else doing the audio remain in sync on their own with no cables for a long while. After about half an hour, you may notice audio differences between the two, but using only the audio from the iPad should be sufficient to maintain audio/video sync..

    Hello how did u set up contuon of guitar and external instruments and headphones ?

    • @DanBakerMusic
      @DanBakerMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the iPad headphone output, going into a desk, where I had the headphones connected. This was for the purpose of recording the iPad output for the video...

    So it seems the most powerfull looper is an Ipad/phone

  • @Taeodoestech
    @Taeodoestech 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    L7 is okay, but rather buggy. Check out Enso, Gauss, Fieldscaper, One Loop, and Loopy Pro. Can even set up Koala to be a looper hosted via AUM.

    Is there a physical footswitch that can be connected via Bluetooth?

    • @fprintf
      @fprintf 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I have an iRig Blueboard that works perfectly for L7 looper. It connects very well via Bluetooth. Many will say they don't like the feel of the soft switch, preferring the click of a traditional hardware pedal - they make bluetooth versions of those nowadays too!

      GarageBand was a fun workflow, but it was too entangled in iCloud for my taste.
      If I ever get it to reinstall, I’ll let you know… 😾
