Amazing for your video of BMW R1250GS Adventure off-road R1200GS Offroad Australia. It is very nice and beautiful. I love your video. Thanks for sharing.🥰
@eckee It's a dumb comment, tho. Driving on the left side in right-hand drive countries isn't 'wrong,' it's simply different. Around 35% of the world drives on the left, including countries like the UK, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and many others. It's all about what each country's road system is designed for, and neither is better or worse-just a matter of local norms and history!
It was problem was my friend is only 5ft 3 so I had to ride both bikes over the hairy stuff nice 200 km ride home after means you get to relax after! Glad you enjoyed
Was above the knees in some parts and fresh rain meant the usual easy crossings were full of rocks that were out of place! Great fun in pairs not fun by yourself.
I think we just have the perfect weather to be able to do it more often. I've joked but in truth I've done about 50,000KM and got wet 4-5times!!! You have some great riding up there as well!
Yeah they are amazing to ride and not nice to pick up... offroad go with a friend... much nicer to have someone laugh at you and then help you pick it up!
Very nice adventure! The BMW is certainly nice to ride on light gravel and the road. However, for such excursions overtaxed. Also in this video you can see immediately that the small radius of the wheels of the big BMW has too much resistance on slightly larger rocks. Nevertheless, very descriptive and nice video. Best regards and continue great ride!
Thanks for watching Thomas I love the big bikes for the ability to do 500km+ a day and not be uncomfortable although offroad is a challenge good to take a friend to lift if needed! Happy Riding
Great riding. Loved Australia when I stopped in Perth during one of our United States Marine Corps deployments! Always have wanted to return to see more of your beautiful country…do you know if anyone in Australia has started a Back Country Discovery Route like we have in the states? From what I’ve read and watched it appears that you have a lot of country available for backcountry discovery riding.
im sure there would be a few that do it but id always say grab a friend and create your own map... great thing about technology now people have coordinates to all the great places to ride. Hope you get out here again soon! Borders are open!
That is one of the first things I want to do is find a place like that to ride. Tell me about how the block and heads take to going through cold water. When i was a kid I can still remember the smell of a Honda mini bike and a Yamaha 360 mx going through a creek. I could almost hear the motor cracking. It doesn't look like you waited much for cool down and even dropped it in the water. And you are still going. Have you experienced with this bike that the motor gets too hot to take it through a creek without cracking the motor?
I think the crackling would be more the exaust but to be fair we were very careful though water hence why it was a bit slow going with my friend coz he is only 5ft 3 so i drove both bikes though...we never dropped them in the water but remember with this design only one side would go down and it never lies flat which is lucky with that weight! Have to give it a go no matter what bike you have id be happy to ride that pass on my ebike. safe riding
Was fun It was exhausting because I had to ride both bikes across the crossing as my buddy is only 5ft 3” so needed solid ground to be able to get through it… was good fun then there is the 250km ride home at the end 😉 let’s just say we made a quick run back!
Great effort and adventure guys! one suggestion and that is try to try training yourself standing up and balance yourselves while the bike is in motion on rough road and through the small water stream. seating through the water is really though man.
I posted the same without seeing your matching comment. Sitting and crossing is a recipe for repeated stall and failure. They must learn to ride on pegs.
I’m curious why you guys don’t stand on your pegs to do the stream crossings. The method I use is to one. Walk the path and gotta get boots wet. Two, go back, get on the bike, follow path you just walked get on the pegs (lowering your center of gravity) and go nice and smooth and steady until you have to put a foot down (which you can do while on pegs with practice and agility)….and then cross. Sitting and crossing is a sure recipe to stalling and losing balance.
We are both aware that water more than 50cm deep is not good to drop the bike in so in deep water we are more able to get our short legs down just in case it hits a large rock that throws balance off... that and laziness
So starts out on Bowmans Creek Rd follow it through upper Rouchel then you get to a gate go through two gates and water crossing, then left up by the house won’t miss it great run!
do you think a man of 5 ft 7 height can ride the high riding adventure bikes??? such as the BMW R1250 GS Adventure (showcased in this video) & KTM 1290 Super Adventure R!!! please advise!!!
Yes My Friend in front is riding a R1200GSA Low with Low seat and he is 5ft 3 so you would be fine on either a R1250GSA with custom low seat or Low suspension model. Safe Riding
Another trick traction control off going through creeks your mate would of done a lot better if the traction control wasn’t coming on , awesome videos though I ride many of the same areas would love to tag along one day
I agree Endro Mode it will spin up the wheels enough but due to it being so deep was slow and steady although was tempting just to push but if you drop it you need to buy a new one when water is above your knees... Traction Control on GSA is pretty amazing I leave that and ABS on Enduro / Enduro Pro Unless in Sand which is where GSA's are known for being too heavy for true heavy sand use. Good Fun though!
Thank you for the great video and images I own the same 1250 GS Adventure and I was wondering what is your off road experience with this bike to be able to do such a trip? Thanks a lot if you can tell me
I’ve done about 50,000km of riding in 5yrs it find confidence is made when you respect your bike abilities and realise you aren’t going to be the best so enjoy the time in the saddle. They are so balanced offroad their ABS and Traction Control is so well suited for offroad that as your riding it it’s stopping the tank slapping the lockup down hill it’s stopping the wash out and it give you the confidence to keep going when maybe you usually might stop and think how am I going to do this where you just squeeze the throttle and know even if it’s the wrong line with the speed and the confidence it’s ok. You learn quickly that too slow worse than too fast because you fall over more when going slow on a 250kg bike. Unless I’m water momentum is your friend. I personally enjoy riding off-road more than onroad but I’m not any better than you just had the GoPro on! Go out with a friend and learn what’s fun for you I have fun on the same trail doing it 5 times as I do the first because it’s never quite the same never the same line and always something new to learn.
Thanks a lot for your long answer ! 50000 km off road !!! Waowww very impressive I am a full beginner and will start with a 2 days training with a pro here in France to get a bit of confidence And then I will start on my own. Being able to progress in that type of terrain with these bikes is a challenge and is a pleasure by itself for these guys 👍🏼💪🏼
I have a question. What do you do if your bike breaks down in the middle of know where? Call a tow truck? Might be $2000.00 to retrieve your motorcycle.
That’s a good question well this one is 6 months old so BMW roadside would need to cover it and collect it but realistically probably some rope and tow it out of rough stuff then get it back in a truck but I’m guessing by then you would have push it off a cliff jokes… hard work luckily it doesn’t happen very often never with me anyway but that’s the reason we went slow over the water don’t want to drown a $30k bike fastest way to get your steps up for the day! Thanks for watching hope we never breakdown
The bike is to tall for the red jacket fella. Then he manages to cross the small river only to get off his bike right at the other side and thrn stand I'm the middle of the way of the guy following him.. dude, pull up a little and give him some space.

was great fun!
svaka čast, oduševljen sam ovim videom, pozdrav iz serbie....
That was a bunch of fun, can’t imagine doing it alone.
I did it once alone but not with that much water in crossings. A great 7hr ride from Sydney and back
Good team effort with the water crossings, fellas! 👍
Was above the knees in some parts and fresh rain meant the usual easy crossings were full of rocks that were out of place! Great fun in pairs not fun by yourself.
Super, great fun to watch as well!! ⭐

Muito bom, melhor que aqueles vídeos que a pessoa não para de falar e não deixa nem aparecer o ronco da moto. Top

Proper offroading...nicely done...we in British Columbia think the Ozies can ride the wheels off their GSA's.
