I love my 1150 GS so much that even when it needed retirement from full time travel/commuter duty I kept it, which is not as easy as it sounds in terms of storage, etc. Brilliant machine that I have had places that walking was difficult (that one was unintentional). I replaced it with a KTM 1290SAR which is a brilliant beast of an enduro, but nothing puts a smile on my face like my old GS. In a decade I will still have my GS, likely fully refreshed and ready for a few more 100,000 miles.
I cant believe I watched the whole thing... great footage this year guys. That final single track section !!! Needs just a few more offs and drops in the mix to keep us laughing. Hassling my boss up tomorrow to get some unpaid leave off for the Enduro !

This was an excellent GS Safari and certainly one of the best motorcycling trips I have been on. Great work by the BMW Safari Crew and topped off by a superb video. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and to re-live the memories this way is motivation to get out and keep exploring even more places by motorcycle in Australia.
What an incredible feat in capturing that footage. The aerial coverage alone captures an Australia previously unfamiliar to me. The cameramen must have been leap frogging with you guys if they were riding. And the edit. Great job whoever put this together.
Looks like a lot a fun. Where do you sign up for the next safari? A side note, should teach these guys how to stand up a fallen bike properly without risk to back

All good points. I always leave the bulk of my kit at my tent when I'm doing anything that requires developed skill on an enduro/adv (which isn't anything intentionally when I'm traveling), etc. Balance is not an overrated concept
@VernonJordan They supply a baggage vehicle for these events so riders don't need to carry any gear other then a repair kit for tyres, first aid and a few snacks. The idea is to ride the bike with minimal weight. It is a supported event. The baggage vehicle meets them at the end of each day.
Genuine people with real riding skills helping each other out and having an enjoyable adventure. Too bad the audio mixing could not match the video quality. Great video and filmography with horribly overcompensating music. Ruins the viewing experience of what otherwise is a great video.
How does one get sponsored to do one of these adventures? I know you can pay for it. But I talked to my dealership and they said get in with a group...but i forgot what kind of group lol. This is my motorcycle Dream to do.
