It's my local stomping ground and I find the Glyderau can be a little tricky in the summer when it can be very busy but not so bad off season, if I really want some solitude I find it easiest finding more remote feeling pitches across the road in the Carneddau though, I see the odd tent near Llyn Idwal but it's always too busy for me to feel comfortable and besides I have a few guideline I always stick to which are always camp above 2000ft and either 50 metres from a footpath or at least out of view, being local I know a few areas where you simply never see another soul too so they're great for feeling safe and out of the way, nice video though, keep it up!
Great vid Grace! Awesome views in the morning, brilliantly captured for our enjoyment. Enjoy all your content, but particularly enjoy the UK adventures, more please!
Love Y garn. I’ll always have a soft spot for it as it was my first summit hiking solo. I Will never forget the first time I drove down the A5 and seeing all the hills and mountains on my way to Ogwen valley. Such a beautiful place.
Great vid, thank you. I have lovely memories of that cwm on Y Garn from over 50 years ago…..I camped there with a good friend for a few days, and I recall playing “cricket” for hours using a rolled up Karrimat and some woolly socks! You make me want to go back.👍👏❤️
Some fantastic images especially at sunrise. Great video. Agree with your comments about camping. Everyone feels apprehensive - is it safe? But realistically it is much safer than the city centre on a Friday night! Just make sure you look after yourself. Thanks for the videos - I enjoy the videos in the hills.
Great to see you in the hills again, Grace! Your adventures are always uplifting and entertaining...do keep them coming! Maybe Crib Goch one day, but not alone?! You're a hiking inspiration, and set us a fine example!
Well you inspired me to do my first Welsh wild camp. Map purchased, watched your vid a few times, then set off to find that area..... spent last night there, so thank you 😊 x
Hi 👋. What a wonderful spot for camp 🤩. Amazing view and sunrise is breathtaking. You are very brave and inspiring woman. Please be safe and enjoy your time. 👋👍😊🤩
I think it is really helpful to hear a woman’s perspective on wild camping and the perceived risks. As a guy I hold it mind when in the hills not to assume an approach is welcome and indeed could be seen as very intimidating, so my rule of thumb is to say hi and go on my way. The last thing I would want to do is make a person feel in anyway vulnerable when they are doing something they love. The pink light is called ‘alpen glow’, or in Welsh ‘maclud’. Spectacular when there is snow on the ground. Oh and the cwm below Y Garn is called Cwm Clyd which means ‘cozy valley’.
It’s nice to hear that men consider that sort of things so very good of you Richard and thanks for the knowledge! Alpen Glow is a cool phrase. Thanks for watching!
The white monster is the best, I only have 1 after doing a wild camp. I’ll go camping with you;) maybe a coffee first;) I used to work for Vango and sell those tents.
Appreciate the advice. I did a solo wild camp this week, and was asking myself "why am i so anxious?" Took a while to realize 😅 torrential rain and no idea where to pitch.. thatll do it. Never seen a ranger on the mountain, or heard about someone being asked to move on. Remember... rangers are outdoor people and probably into wildcamping themselves 😊
Haha aww I hope your next camp is more successful! I’ve known of people occasionally be asked to move on and I got moved on in capel curig once but thankfully never happened to me on a mountain 🙌🏻
Hi there that’s my local valley I’m. A member of ogwen valley Mrt that is my all time fav mountain to be on Great vlog sorry you lost the HC 😢 stay safe out there ❤
I camped in almost that exact spot last summer and woke to an awful smell which I discovered on looking out of my tent, to be a herd of goats! Luckily, they scattered when they saw me and took the pong with them :-)
Hey, can I ask where you park in Snowdon ie for free. Can you park your car in the lay-by along the road over night? I’m looking to go back to Snowdon asap and would like to know some free parking spots. Thanks
You should invest in a Garmin Inreach do you have messaging with your phone and carry more water and food. You can always dump your excess water on the way down.
Coffee treat for U!
Thank you so much 🥹🥹🥹

Lovely spot there 👌 pretty much perfect, apart from the void left by the water spillage 😢...nice to see you back 👏

That’s why I don’t trust those stoves. Way too top heavy. Lovely video and a great spot to wake up to.
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. What an absolutely beautiful vlog, thank you for sharing ❤ x
Thanks for sharing your adventure grace, should new campers stick to areas they are familiar with?
Thanks for watching! For the first time I’d say that’s a good idea yeah :)
Brilliant video definitely one of your best !! Thanks so much love your attitude and energy!! Can you do an overnighter on Cadir Idris please 💜💗🙏
Thanks so much! And great shout for Cadair Idris that’ll be next on my list 😀

Just stumbled across your channel and have subscribed.. is there a video telling your story so far
Thanks so much Peter, not yet but thanks for the idea 😀
@@GracesAdventureswhat I would like to know is how you funded the great adventures , perhaps you are just a couple of multi millionaires!
Great video thanks

The whole getting moved on by a ranger thing is so weird to me, when here in Scotland wild camping is legal. Looks like a lovely spot though!
I know it’s such a shame it’s not legal here also. Thanks for watching!!😊
Lovely camp. No wonder you felt knackered. Pot noodle and Monster? Just a load of chemicals. Take some real food.
I know I’m terrible, must do better 😅
Glad you brought up the fear that women can have.... i solo camp and i agree that if anyone sees a tent, they'll assume its a bloke lol.
Haha glad it’s not just me!

It does suck that as women we have to worry about things like that.
I know right? 🥲
Hope it was the proper original The Office & not the inferior American remake.
Great watch this them views are incredible definitely on my list 🏕️
Great video. Subscribed
Thank you! 😀
