I work with breast cancer patients at a hospital, and I've seen a 17-year-old with breast cancer. Someone who's 17 doesn't even have fully-developed breasts, yet it still happened. Cancer can definitely happen to anyone.
The problem is some doctors don't listen to you, I have symptoms over 2 months now and I was told they cannot do anything, it doesn't depend on them but the system
I'm 40 was experiencing stomach pains since 2021 and vomiting begged the hospital for scans as you know something isn't right no scans done told I had GERD was given tablets for stomach cramps, was finally admitted to hospital December 2022 as I had a lump in my stomach they suspected appendicitis CT scan done which showed mass I have stage 3c bowel cancer had my right part of bowel removed and start adjuvant chemotherapy tomorrow, Dr's and hospitals need to listen more to patients and stop dismissing symptoms its so frustrating that so many of us are waiting years for a diagnosis which for some is too late

Now I'm 55 years old, at age of 23 years old. I went to the bathroom had a bowel movement with blood second time that day it happen again. I set an appt with my primary doctor and then 2 weeks later I had a colonoscopy. The doctor removed 2 polyps 2 cm long. Until this day I go every three years and then 5 years. I went to get my colonoscopy and found 3 tiny polyps in 40's. Lately I'm going every 2 years. You are never too young and I thank my doctor who didn't take any chances by guessing. Listen to your body and don't allow doctors to take a guess, you are your own advocate!!

I was diagnosed with Rectal cancer in December 2017 entirely as a result of the bowel screening test. I had no prior symptoms and felt really well but after an irregular test result a colonoscopy revealed a T2 tumour. My rectum was removed in January of this year and I had a stoma. The care and help I received was FIRST CLASS and I was fortunate enough to have a consultant surgeon who explained the risks and the process and gave me the encouragement to tackle this problem head on. The stoma was reversed in May and last week my consultant gave me the “all clear”. I know how fortunate I have been - I have had total support from my wife and friends and family and friends have been there for us. My message is to anyone who receives a test kit - TAKE THE TEST AND PUT YOUR FAITH IN THE PROCESS - I believe that it saved my life.

Stacy- you have provided a wonderful video about what millions of spouse's sadly are forced to deal with every day. There are so many happy couples in love, working great jobs, + raising beautiful children until the day that 1 spouse, like your Rob, gets a diagnosis like he did. I'm so sorry that it took them 4 years to diagnose him.....that should never happen! I agree with you as far as how your life suddenly changes + I can't even begin to understand how hard that must be to manage both physically + emotionally. You seem to be one blessed with such a strong personality + willpower. I'll remember your post for a long time to remind myself of what you, and numerous other families, are faced with whenever I whine about my minuscule ones. I wish you the very best.❤️ Wouldn't it be great if the government came up with ways to help families like yours that are going through really hard times???

This week i have just been told i have bowel cancer - cannot take it in. Going for all the tests in the next two weeks. Dont know what to expect . Any feedback would be great. Fingers crossed got to stay positive. God bless you both xx
Hi Margaret, we're so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Please do visit our online forum where you can speak to others who are experiencing something similar. There's even a section specifically for those recently diagnosed: community.beatingbowelcancer.org/forum Let us know if we can help at all
Everyone will react differently to such difficult news so it's very hard to say what's 'normal'. We can assure you though that lots of people in your situation have said they experienced similar emotions, you're definitely not the only one to feel like this
Excellent video because I believe your voice speaks for a very high percentage of patients + says what most feel. I am now a retired nurse who believe that many fear hospital because once you become a patient you give up all control of your body to Dr's + nurses. I found it made a big difference in my pt's anxiety level if I told them that before a procedure is done we will describe what the test is, why we're doing it, how long it'll take, + what you should feel. I encourage them to ask questions. Each hospital has general rules but most are up to each nurse + I know that I would have no problem at all allowing you to sleep on a cot to stay with your husband the day you got the upsetting diagnosis right before visiting hours ended. And usually when a Dr is telling a pt life changing bad news he will do it in a bigger room, have the team of Dr's present to answer any + all questions, + have what they call a "family meeting"- close family members who want to be present are (usually the pt, spouse, pt's parents). Each pt visit to hospital is so important because how they view it overall stays with them + is used by the pt as a reference for future hospital stays. But it shouldn't! When in hospital ask questions about procedures. Some pt's find it helps to use the Internet to look up questions such as "what to expect during a hospital stay", etc
I have had pain for about 6 weeks now and also changes in bowel habits. I have today had both stool and blood samples taken. To be honest, I so scared just now. I wish there was someone to talk to.
So sorry to hear of this news,it's dreadful and you have both suffered .I will include both you and Greg in my daily Divine Mercy Chaplet Prayers Here is also the Jesus Prayer to help you both each day .Lord Jesus Christ Son of God ,have Mercy on Greg and family please hurry to their Rescue and their Protection .May God in his Mercy bless and Protect you all .Amen .🙏
I feel like there’s doctors really dropped the ball they should’ve never blown him off but I am so sorry for you and your husband and your family I am glad you were able to maintain every day prayers for you and your family and I pray that you get better help as time goes on God bless
My mum also passed from stage four breast cancer & she was ignored by her doctor with her skin changing under her armpits he said due to sun damage which made no sense she wasn’t a sun lover and who tans their under arms? Sadly by the time she went back again it was too late
There is a real issue with NHS doctors arrogantly thinking people are imagining the worst and fobbing them off. I had chronic migraines and NHS doctors wanted to put me on drugs for them until a dietician worked out I was gluten and dairy intolerant. My migraines reduced by about 80% once I cut out these foods. I've had several other conditions that doctors tried to write off as anxiety until things became clear they were real physical health problems. I'm very sorry for this woman and her family, it is atrocious that the NHS allowed him to get so ill and be in so much pain without even doing a scan to check.
Great video. Perhaps we need to remind people how important it is to compare cancer death stats with the current coronavirus silliness going on? The gross overhype of this supposed virus has taken over logic and reason and people need to get back to what is really important - investing research into cancer treatments and possible cures. Much has been done over the years in this field and we cannot allow ourselves to become distracted from that. Perhaps it is our duty to remind everyone we know of what is truly important in the field of research?
I know this sounds strange but I’m almost thankful for having crohns as they take any small symptom so seriously !! And means I hopefully won’t have to go through what this poor man went through I’m so sorry 😰
He passed away on September 30, 2021. This is Stacy's statement on is death: My beautiful boy greg died this afternoon. He was with his brother and cousin and surrounded by stories and laughter of his childhood. He was calm and gently slipped away into the stars. I spent last night alone in bed with him. His energy was far too big for his human body now, I could feel this. I opened the window and told him to go and be in the universe. Tonight we are in shock but filling our boots with inappropriate jokes, something that Greg would insist on. Greg was a extraordinary human - not of this world, I’m sure of that. His wonder at the world and creativity is something I’ve never seen in anyone else. He told me to always believe in magic, that I will never be alone because it is all around us. My heart is broken but full of magic
Your story is so upsetting in many ways. I struggled to watch, the but you came across so strong I wanted to hear your story. I’m not that religious but I hope to god that your husband can be helped and be here for you and to see his kids grow up. I lost my Sensei, who I had trained with for 14 years, to bladder cancer in Oct 2018. To me he was invincible but Cancer doesn’t care. It really hit me hard and still now it’s upsets me to write this. He was a wise, and said many a poignant word, however, the words that stick with me when times are tough are ‘eye of the tiger’ I’m sure you have heard it before...........so, I’ll say it to you ‘eye of the tiger’
I recently got a colonscopy at age 19 in August due to weird bowel movements and blood in my stool. Thankfully there was nothing there not even hemmeriods but my brother had a polyp when he was 7 years old... the screening is all off
I have loads of blood when I go toilet large blood clots had it for a long time 2-3 years I was suppose to go to for a colonoscopy but I didn’t now I’m panicking getting it done ASAP
I had same problem for years never went for colonoscopy believing it was hemorrhoid ended up having complete colon abstraction with tumor cancer stage 4 . How are you doing now ? Hopefully it was not cancer
Victor Lisitsin thanks I’m so sorry to hear that, I’ve left it for a couple years my self so I’m not looking forward to it. I hope you get a few more years I will come back and tell you what they said next week. Thanks for sharing your story it can’t be easy to deal with.
Victor Lisitsin hello victor, I went for my colonoscopy today they didn’t find cancer only a polyp and removed it. The camera down the throat revealed nothing either. I think about what you told me a lot and I feel very sad about it, I just hope you have a loving family around you to keep your spirits up and you enjoy each day as much as possible, I’ll say a prayer for you.
This is the third story I am watching where bowel cancer was misdiagnosed for IBS for years!!! This is so upsetting. If you have a feeling that something is off go private. Do not wait for your GP to wake up. Your life is on line.
So so sorry but surely cancer could have been excluded at the outset by doing the right tests ie scaning and or MRI.Why would a Doctor not do this from the get go. Really unbelievable. So sorry
I must say I do agree. Too many heartbreaking stories like this that might have happy endings had aggressive diagnostic testing been done MUCH earlier. In the end it is always about the almighty dollar or Pound Sterling!
Sounds like the doctors bed side manner did not consider how exposed your family felt.. Expliotation from medical didactics can be d desensitized. Health care professionals see illness all day long. The human body is seamlessly integrated . Anatomy streams connect use to natural antidotes . Media ration will help to get through the day. Blessings
Stacey so sorry for your misfortune. I would consider looking into cannabis oil. I believe in this treatment and so do so many other people who have recovered from stage 4 cancer. Lots of luck, godbless!

Gosh I can relate to everything Stacy says. My husband was too diagnosed when we had 3 small children.
I wish you the very best.❤️
Wouldn't it be great if the government came up with ways to help families like yours that are going through really hard times???
My dad got sick with cancer they did radiation there was one test they wouldn't due because of insurance. that's why they missed it .he past last year it broke my heart .I understand your frustration and anger .my dad looked at me and said if robots looked over test and took the test he wouldn't have to die ,I miss you pop!
If anyone has cancer, they should try praying blessings for Benny Hinn's Christian Ministry. God gives me instant healing when I pray for blessings for this ministry. They can also try donating to it, God gives me healing that way too, I give monthly. The website is www.BennyHinn.org
Other ministries I give to for healing:

God also gives me healing when I pray for the world. The missing, abused, poverty, sex trafficking, natural disaster, pray for the kidnappers and the dangerous, pray for their salvation, pray for the world's healing, salvation and spiritual awakening every day. I hope this advice helps so much, God bless!!
God bless you and your family. You are amazing...
God Bless & bring you Peace
My prayers will go to you and your husband and your family
God bless you and your family.🙏
Im so sorry you’ll be kept in my prayers 💕
So sad. And people complain over minute things that really mean nothing.
They should count their blessings that they have nothing serious like this to deal with.
Those people who complain over little things have their own stressors that cause them to respond that way. They deserve to be shown kindness as well. We all do. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
@@southernbelladonna78 I agree everybody's feelings are valid x
This week i have just been told i have bowel cancer - cannot take it in. Going for all the tests in the next two weeks. Dont know what to expect . Any feedback would be great. Fingers crossed got to stay positive. God bless you both xx
Hi Margaret, we're so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. Please do visit our online forum where you can speak to others who are experiencing something similar. There's even a section specifically for those recently diagnosed: community.beatingbowelcancer.org/forum Let us know if we can help at all
Thank you for your email today I feel like I have been robbed off my personality and I feel very angry is this normal. xx
Everyone will react differently to such difficult news so it's very hard to say what's 'normal'. We can assure you though that lots of people in your situation have said they experienced similar emotions, you're definitely not the only one to feel like this
How are you, Margaret?
How are you?
Take care everyone!
Praying for you and your family🙏🏼❤️
May God be with you. Amen ❤😢
I hope your husband is still alive. It's a shame that he was ignored by doctors for so long. How hard would it have been to do a colonoscopy? Damn.

How is this young woman today?God Bless her please.🙏🙏🙏from Philly USA.
Thanks for this, i'm hoping the symptoms I've got are ibs.
Prayers sent to you both
He passed away on September 30, 2021.
Thank you Socrates for letting me know. He is now pain free and will always be around his loved ones in spirit. May Greg rest in peace.

How is Greg doing? Praying he is better.
He's alive. I Google it
Greg is Alive.
You are very strong babe go forward no look back we stand up and enjoy every day ok.
Victor Lisitsin stage 4 ? Are you ok. I’m going for colonoscopy next week and the camera down the throat. Are you in remission
Victor Lisitsin thanks I’m so sorry to hear that, I’ve left it for a couple years my self so I’m not looking forward to it. I hope you get a few more years I will come back and tell you what they said next week. Thanks for sharing your story it can’t be easy to deal with.
@@bennevis6843 thanks for kind words , Ben . I'll keep you in my prayers . Hope to hear only good news from you.
Your NHS system is the reason for his delay in diagnosis. The UK rations care. Socialized health care is bad.
This is the third story I am watching where bowel cancer was misdiagnosed for IBS for years!!! This is so upsetting. If you have a feeling that something is off go private. Do not wait for your GP to wake up. Your life is on line.
Hey, i need an advice on how to get private? I want to get seen by a private colorectal surgeon.
Is Gregg still alive ? Is the cancer gone ??
Yes he's alive. Google his name or wife's etc
So so sorry but surely cancer could have been excluded at the outset by doing the right tests ie scaning and or MRI.Why would a Doctor not do this from the get go. Really unbelievable. So sorry
Im sorry but i hope to never live in the UK the drs appear to be so incompetent there its scary!
I must say I do agree. Too many heartbreaking stories like this that might have happy endings had aggressive diagnostic testing been done MUCH earlier. In the end it is always about the almighty dollar or Pound Sterling!
America are wonderful they have Fox Chase there- a lot of cancer patients get excellent care there. The U.K. has f all.
Selection bias. Your hearing only the bad stories. UK cancer survival rate is higher then us
💙💜💚💛🧡❤
What a dreadful experience for them. Doctors need to improve their confidentiality and empathy. Shocking treatment.
UK health care is really bad
How is gred doing today
4 years of misdiagnosis that's sad and pathetic
Not easy to manage just thinking about today when a young kid needs parents support...
I love you stacy.
Praying for your family
Claim medical negligence
That's the NHS for you. Better to take the NHS away and allow everyone to go private.
Blessings

Yes, it is. The terms "bowel" and "colon" refer to the intestines. You have large intestines, and small intestines.

Gersons diet too
What’s that
Ben Nevis it’s a special diet based on vegetables. They have a clinic in Mexico. I just heard about “aranto” I am researching about it. All natural.
Lucy Sarubbi I have severe blood clots and low red cells going for my colonoscopy soon I’m praying I’m ok but I will change my diet regardless, these story’s are tough to listen too.
Ben Nevis yes they are but the most important thing is to do the exam and take care of yourself. Juicing will make a big difference. I have to do another colonoscopy because I am getting some symptoms again. It’s scary but God is in control.
Lucy Sarubbi I hope so it’s a lot to take in I will be praying on the day. I hope your clear and thanks for the help god bless.
Why did they not offer Greg a Stoma?
This is incredibly sad . Four years of not being believed is not acceptable. I visit of not being believed by your dr. Is not acceptable. They can always start somewhere. You must speak up for yourself, don’t be subservient. I hope you and your family are doing well .
