I remember when I played this map very often with my cousin when we were kids. when I saw this video it brought me a lot of nostalgia around 2011 and 2012
Can't say I expected a video about this map to appear anytime soon. I remember spending far too many hours on this map on the GamingDeluxe server mentioned elsewhere for several years. Seeing the original v14 is quite nostalgic too, seeing as the server tried to get a v15 made seemingly in a an attempt to revive it's player count - it didn't work unfortunately, like many other community custom servers. I personally contributed a few models to an Xmas version of the map mainly for the bedroom area on top of the house; they were then supposedly passed over to the full v15 (the server itself has a v15_V2 for whatever reason), although I don't think they were packed into the map properly, so the room is empty instead. As for the server, it does still seem to be running, but not even the one guy the server had who would idle for hours on end long after everyone else had disconnected remains to this day. It's quite sad seeing a server go from being so full that there was a queue to being completely dead. This map is quite the artefact of its time and its one that for me can't be replicated. Also the map lagged like shit lol

These old TF2 maps have some eerie feeling to them. When you play them now it's like you are the first living thing to step foot in them in years. Packed full of mysteries, lost in time and hidden deep in the old days of TF2.
This is like an ARG type map, the stuff is so cryptic and nobody would think to do these things in their right mind yet it’s put there anyway like, “jump into the pillar to get teleported in this one specific spot that you have to do an Easter egg thing to get there in the first place” or “ hit a wall with you melee to make a door that you unlock from doing another secret” and the fact that it’s so old makes it even creepier.
@@MrCrabFacts Pardon, I forgot to take my coughing medicine that day. I actually meant that imgur.com/a/0SqEOqA was quite a cool game. But not as good on the XBOX as on the PC.
Them memories from the childhood. Damn man , I remember that this server used to be full 24/7 . It is a shame that nobody plays on this server anymore.
This map was good times. Though, the people spamming that wierd spy song (you can play if you hit the blue button at the terminal in the living room) is still imbeded in my damn brain all these years later.
An ancient relic from another time. Maps like this just don't get made anymore, and ever since the casual rework of the Meet your Match update and the removal of Quickplay, community servers have struggled to reach their former numbers and creativity.
An ancient relic of a simpler time. I was a regular of GD#5 since around '08 or '09 up to its dying days. Brian Badonde, an admin at the time near the end (And has also posted on this vid) created a V15 of turbo. I was there for a lot of it (Guy was o b s e s s e d with Jurassic Park at the time) including the prototype. I still have a couple copies of turbo on my computer, when I was rooting around in my map folder an hour or two ago. V14, V15 test 2, V15, V15.2, and an "event" version, too. What I wouldn't give to have these days back, to be honest with you...apparently, a bunch of the boys had a reunion on there just under 6 months ago, but I never realized I had an invitation to the group where they had organized it, so I never got the message. I hope they do another again, at some point. Trying to remember a bunch of the boys off the top of my head. Shoutouts to them all! Really sorry if I forget some people, it's been years. *Myself* (The Nightmare Tank. Is it narcisstic to shout myself out? Probably, but I'm doing it here in case I ever change my name, for some reason.) *EHa* (Or Flaxkix, among a bunch of other aliases. Sniper/Soldier main. Think we locked horns once or twice, but we oftentimes supported each other in firefights, otherwise.) *Cabbage McGravel* (Oftentimes spectating to get some cheeky screenshots without getting shot at.) *Brian Badonde* (Of course. Like I said, he updated Turbo to 15. Also one of the admins.) *swarfega* (Another admin. Kinda chill sometimes, not so much othertimes. But at least he made sure to try and lay down the law when it was needed.) *Farley_Gnu* (Yet another admin. One of the higher ups, I think.) *tdm0* (Soldier/Demo main as far as I know. Most of the time he was on, he was practicing his aerial capabilities on the Pyro Tennis court. I'd occasionally try to airshot him when I was bored.) *limide* (Scout/Sniper main. Comp level. Had a Scout duel with him once, first to 20. The results were surprisingly close. He bought me on for a comp scrim once, but I wasn't very good at it.) *Dolan* (Medic main. Oftentimes either around the achievement boxes, or Pyro's House.) *Masoku* (Soldier/Medic main. Ditto, but sometimes pocketed me as well, or went Sniper when fighting. Formerly Paulnicuitta. Was a regular roughly as much as I was, but had a hiatus at one point.) *Conne* (A regular from around the time when I was first there. Stopped showing up a couple years afterwards, after finding communities elsewhere I think. Helped grind a lot of duel wins.) *Fulgrim* (Scout/Spy main. Another regular from around the time when I was first there. Also stopped showing up a couple years afterwards. Really fucking good with the Ambassador.) *Green Aracross Goblin* (Yet another regular from around the time when I was first there. Stayed a few years after I first showed up, but eventually left.) *Amp Frostbolt* (Soldier/Pyro main. We even matched soldier loadouts for a while, except she brought the buff banner, and I brought the battalion's backup. Even if she's my ex, I'll still shout her out.) *Sparhunter* (Didn't think I'd forget you, did you? Almost always around when I was. Long-time regular like me. Oftentimes chipped in on each other's side.) *Ryokyon!* (Resident Evil fanatic, for the most part. Also Dead Rising on the side. If he didn't have voice clips of RE's Albert Wesker on standby, it was DR's Frank West, instead.) *rageqt* (Literally the biggest idler I know. Half the time when I logged in, to when I left, morning to night, he was there idling and attacking with a Jag, nonstop. He idled more than he moved, trust me.) *MysticSpoonAttack* (From way the hell back. Kinda dipped in and out here and there, but ultimately left, as far as I know.) *Aethus Firelyte* (Former moderator. One of the first friends I made on there, altogether. He was at uni at the time. I don't know where he is nowadays, but I hope his days are going well.) *Lynx teh Crux* (No, that's not a typo. She was a friend I brought from another server. She didn't show up very often, but she was willing to give turbo a try, and that meant a lot to me.) *EmoHawke* (An occasional, because life was constantly getting in their way of coming onto the server. Still of course just as fun as everyone else.) *Honest Tom's Discount Beef* (A name that still makes me smirk or grin due to how random it was. Didn't use a mic, but still had quite a few funny moments in the spawn area.) If there's anyone else, don't be afraid to reply here and remind me of who you were. There's a few others who I remember, but I don't quite have their names, either because they changed them a lot, or they blended in a little more than others.
Someone remade the Pyro House in minecraft, they added it in as a little secret for their minecraft trade server. I've never seen achievement_turbo_v14 before, so when I saw the Pyro House I couldnt help but think "Hey, that's familiar!".
oof this nostalgia hurts... never played on this map specifically but I definitely played on ones like it... you can tell the dude(s) that made this map really loved making it. I miss those days...
Its like exploring an abandoned mall. Once populated and flourishing, now empty. People once together, separated to their own ways, never to share the same era humor again. Its crazy how memes were really just 1 genre that was universally recognized and laughed at,and now the community is separated.
Oh man this takes me back. As much as I disliked my childhood, sometimes I wish I could go back in time just to experience that golden era of TF2 again, means the whole world to me.
I'd love to see more videos like this, exploring weird and wacky tf2 maps! I'm one of those folks who miss maps like these. They were so much fun to hang out and goof around on.
I used to play on this map so much 11 or 12 years ago! The final mystery to me was how to spawn the monolith, it being a console command is kinda disappointing. I even managed to memorize the sequence to get into the satelite room, thanks to nasty spies camping the door sometimes I was able to put the code in a couple of secconds! Wrangling my sentry on the satelite to surprise people on the orange field was always fun too.
Nostalgia. I sued to be a regular on a few of the servers that ran this series of maps. Geek Escape, ACG, Gamingdeluxe... Lots of memories of getting achievements, other players getting griefed, taunt parties, trying to get achievements, and the constant wars that would be fought over the Pyro House and the vents, and the stupid annoying spy song.... and smaller things only people with these memories will know. TF2 servers aren't like this anymore, and the one server that runs a version of this map sadly is a ghost town. - UNRBEAKABLE

this map is an time capsule to old tf2.
*_This is the best side of this game I never knew existed_*
Thank you for this vid, man :D
HAH, The memories of a little wee me downloading this on 300kb internet and being so excited to play and chat with the others at pyros base. Can't ever forget it
9:20 PEACE THROUGH POWER
But seriously, between this and the ion cannon, it looks like the mapmaker is a C&C fan. This makes me happy.
oh God, this whole video is like you opened a time capsule.
some random server playing this map was the first non valve server i ever joined
I used to go to the pyro house alot back in the day. I always went there with my friend. We both took pyros and we played deflect tennis with a flare gun over at the tennis area. It was fun.
"I wish more maps had maps in them"
Welp, this aged pretty well...
Teleporting to pyros house isn't random through the shed. If you hit or use the phone booth in front of the fence, it takes you there 100%
This was a nice relaxing and somewhat nostalgic video. Thanks for making it.
these videos are so relaxing and nostalgic, i could fall asleep watching these
Man this map is great! I remember the pyros house when I played back in 2013
This was probably my favorite achievement map back in like 2012-2014 just because of how much there was to discover about it.
Exactly the same feeling when I played old HL1 mods and custom maps.
This is like going through a kmart that’s almost empty in customers and items.
I miss maps like this. I remember having so much fun exploring the maps and grinding achievements.
I remember spending hours and hours on this maps, was amazing. Once convinced myself and my friends there was a secret room hidden somewhere on a Egypt-themed achievement map with a golden wrench drop for whoever manages to access it
For something like an achievement server, this seems to be made with some passion and quality, beats every idle or achievement servers I’ve been on
For a guy who has complicated worldview, pyro lives pretty fancy
I think I accidentally subsribed to you once when i was drunk. I'm drunk so I won't unsub rn
Keep making content to make me enteetained when I get drunk and I wont unsub
Thank you
look after yourself aye
TheKiddoMemester lol
Help I'm drunk again and I don't remember any of this why am I getting replies and likes on this incomprehensible comment
Same 😂😂😂
Hey, go back to shooting pipes Demoman.
Medic says "Pills here" in Bill's voice
No serious sherlock?
Reminds me of the good old days playing tf2, theres so much effort poured into this map. Also really relaxing video to watch.
I used to admin a server for this map back in 2012-13 and seeing this vid brought back some really nice memories. Great vid!
These old TF2 maps have some eerie feeling to them. When you play them now it's like you are the first living thing to step foot in them in years. Packed full of mysteries, lost in time and hidden deep in the old days of TF2.
Great map, it’s no steamed hams but it’s a great map. It’s almost like a puzzle
What do you mean by that.
There's a map on the workshop literally called "Steamed Hams".
Gonna assume it's like one of the best maps in tf2
Dude, this was wayyy back in the days. I love it
I love nothing more than maps that have secrets just for the sake of it
This is like an ARG type map, the stuff is so cryptic and nobody would think to do these things in their right mind yet it’s put there anyway like, “jump into the pillar to get teleported in this one specific spot that you have to do an Easter egg thing to get there in the first place” or “ hit a wall with you melee to make a door that you unlock from doing another secret” and the fact that it’s so old makes it even creepier.

@@Steve-we8tl what?
@@MrCrabFacts Pardon, I forgot to take my coughing medicine that day. I actually meant that imgur.com/a/0SqEOqA was quite a cool game. But not as good on the XBOX as on the PC.
Them memories from the childhood. Damn man , I remember that this server used to be full 24/7 . It is a shame that nobody plays on this server anymore.
This video brings me back to the days when i put 200 hours on Scout exploring maps like this
This map was good times.
Though, the people spamming that wierd spy song (you can play if you hit the blue button at the terminal in the living room) is still imbeded in my damn brain all these years later.
I never played this map, but this perfectly embodies what I loved about tf2 back in the day
An ancient relic from another time.
Probably, but I'm doing it here in case I ever change my name, for some reason.)
*EHa* (Or Flaxkix, among a bunch of other aliases. Sniper/Soldier main. Think we locked horns once or twice, but we oftentimes supported each other in firefights, otherwise.)
*Cabbage McGravel* (Oftentimes spectating to get some cheeky screenshots without getting shot at.)
*Brian Badonde* (Of course. Like I said, he updated Turbo to 15. Also one of the admins.)
*swarfega* (Another admin. Kinda chill sometimes, not so much othertimes. But at least he made sure to try and lay down the law when it was needed.)
*Farley_Gnu* (Yet another admin. One of the higher ups, I think.)
*tdm0* (Soldier/Demo main as far as I know. Most of the time he was on, he was practicing his aerial capabilities on the Pyro Tennis court. I'd occasionally try to airshot him when I was bored.)
*limide* (Scout/Sniper main. Comp level. Had a Scout duel with him once, first to 20. The results were surprisingly close. He bought me on for a comp scrim once, but I wasn't very good at it.)
*Dolan* (Medic main. Oftentimes either around the achievement boxes, or Pyro's House.)
*Masoku* (Soldier/Medic main. Ditto, but sometimes pocketed me as well, or went Sniper when fighting. Formerly Paulnicuitta. Was a regular roughly as much as I was, but had a hiatus at one point.)
*Conne* (A regular from around the time when I was first there. Stopped showing up a couple years afterwards, after finding communities elsewhere I think. Helped grind a lot of duel wins.)
*Fulgrim* (Scout/Spy main. Another regular from around the time when I was first there. Also stopped showing up a couple years afterwards. Really fucking good with the Ambassador.)
*Green Aracross Goblin* (Yet another regular from around the time when I was first there. Stayed a few years after I first showed up, but eventually left.)
*Amp Frostbolt* (Soldier/Pyro main. We even matched soldier loadouts for a while, except she brought the buff banner, and I brought the battalion's backup. Even if she's my ex, I'll still shout her out.)
*Sparhunter* (Didn't think I'd forget you, did you? Almost always around when I was. Long-time regular like me. Oftentimes chipped in on each other's side.)
*Ryokyon!* (Resident Evil fanatic, for the most part. Also Dead Rising on the side. If he didn't have voice clips of RE's Albert Wesker on standby, it was DR's Frank West, instead.)
*rageqt* (Literally the biggest idler I know. Half the time when I logged in, to when I left, morning to night, he was there idling and attacking with a Jag, nonstop. He idled more than he moved, trust me.)
*MysticSpoonAttack* (From way the hell back. Kinda dipped in and out here and there, but ultimately left, as far as I know.)
*Aethus Firelyte* (Former moderator. One of the first friends I made on there, altogether. He was at uni at the time. I don't know where he is nowadays, but I hope his days are going well.)
*Lynx teh Crux* (No, that's not a typo. She was a friend I brought from another server. She didn't show up very often, but she was willing to give turbo a try, and that meant a lot to me.)
*EmoHawke* (An occasional, because life was constantly getting in their way of coming onto the server. Still of course just as fun as everyone else.)
*Honest Tom's Discount Beef* (A name that still makes me smirk or grin due to how random it was. Didn't use a mic, but still had quite a few funny moments in the spawn area.)
If there's anyone else, don't be afraid to reply here and remind me of who you were. There's a few others who I remember, but I don't quite have their names, either because they changed them a lot, or they blended in a little more than others.
You forgot to invite me.
Someone remade the Pyro House in minecraft, they added it in as a little secret for their minecraft trade server. I've never seen achievement_turbo_v14 before, so when I saw the Pyro House I couldnt help but think "Hey, that's familiar!".
Wow the creator dure had a lot of dedication.
The map was actually built in several iterations over a period of 4 years. So it is a bit deceiving in retrospective.
I love these videos it's really interesting to see these obscure and old maps
Man, that Christian Brutal Sniper theme. Good memories, good times.
oof this nostalgia hurts... never played on this map specifically but I definitely played on ones like it... you can tell the dude(s) that made this map really loved making it. I miss those days...
Ah, that was the name of this map. I have some vivid memories of exploring this map for hours. Nice to see it finally brought out
This was always my favorite map in team fortress 2, being a achievement map it was free from the limitations that most regular tf2 maps have.
Only 90's kids remember this
Its like exploring an abandoned mall. Once populated and flourishing, now empty. People once together, separated to their own ways, never to share the same era humor again.
Its crazy how memes were really just 1 genre that was universally recognized and laughed at,and now the community is separated.
THIS MAP WAS MY CHILDHOOD
Thank you for looking this over, great time down memory lane
I have no words for how nostalgic this is
Oh man this takes me back. As much as I disliked my childhood, sometimes I wish I could go back in time just to experience that golden era of TF2 again, means the whole world to me.
I never expected to see C&C Kane on time magazine in a TF2 map
I remember messing around in this map! Pyro house always had the best moments.
This map is a treasure trove of memories for me. And it's also a time capsule for the humor at the time.
You missed the two references to C&C, Kane on the Time cover, and the laser which is the signature Low Orbit Ion Cannon that the GDI created.
+Theironsword ah yeah I was aware of those bit I didn't point them out
Probably should've mentioned them, because it took me a while to notice them.
There's also a tesla coil in the medical experimentation room.
Renegade? If so that's some memories right there. Loved mission 7 because I always used the Lazer rifle.
Damn I actually do miss playing on this map back in like 2010. Good times...
I love maps with some good secrets. They make playing at those maps, and knowing those secrets a ton of fun!
I'd love to see more videos like this, exploring weird and wacky tf2 maps! I'm one of those folks who miss maps like these. They were so much fun to hang out and goof around on.
Omg the nostalgia, I love it! Great video!
Lord have mercy, what a nostalgia trip
''Not much in the Pyro's House?'' You're kidding! It's the best part!
This video may be the best I’ve ever seen.
This is just the best one, ever I’ve never seen a better youtube video.
This brings back memories. I used to play this at 2013 and farmed achievements. I got banned for using voice chat, but it was a good time.
Nostalgia is real

"smoke weed everyday-day"
Bruh these map looks so weird without 4 micspammers, 3 friends, 1 actually doing the achievment, 3 guys idling, 10 guys just running around trying to have fun and 1 guy that always tries to kill you
Interesting
I love it and wish I could see more of these types of maps again
love the music you used in this, makes the video kind of like an unintentional asmr
I love Equinox. Surprised to find the music here. Thanks for the bell ringer!
i always remembered going to pyros house and just walk around/talk to people, i wish i joined in it's very early time, just to see how tf2 went from start to now
As a kid i thought the pyros house was actually the pyros home and connected to the tf2 lore.. (man i had fun with this map but holy hell did it lag alot)
Oh my God all the freak Fortress reference bring back so much memories for me
I remember playing older versions of this map back in the day, good times :)
Like many people this was 9me of my oldest tf2 memories, learning that I can bind f to use was the absolute coolest thing
9:24 loved this one. Also the satelite is basically ion cannon and it makes the ion cannon sound.
Used to hang out all the time with friends way back in 2010 on these maps
