Jolt's arms hanging down when he's placed on the back of Hot Shot's alt mode is something the original figure(s) did. lol I hope we get more Mini-cons in the Legacy line, especially Sparkplug, Leader-1, and Swindle to partner with Armada Optimus Prime, Megatron, and Starscream. Keep on being amazing.

I just got this guy yesterday, very fun posing him with those extra guns and the blast effects. I have Jolt with the original release as it just completes his look so much better, whereas Powerlinx just looks like a cool stand alone figure with his arsenal. I can't wait for Galvatron's figure to stand against him or to recreate Hot Shot's plea to unite the autobots and decepticons against Unicron.
So we have 2 minicons now, I will laugh if Megatron in United (Galvatron for Armada fans) will have his micron. We had some rumours that we will have multipack in the future.
I think they're defs are planning on doing all the armada repaints with a minicon, it's a great way to forces us die hards to double dip. It'll work cos I'll defs get Starscream at the very least.
Glad I had to wait because of financial issue. Both versions of Hot Shot are currently in Hasbro Pulse's outlet section on sale here in the US. I already got the yellow one a couple months back for $15 -- and for that price, he's satisfying enough, even without a Minicon, but the recently added this version as well for $31. With his extras and better paint scheme, he certainly feels much more worth it at that prince. So, that you for an excellent review to show me what I have to look forward to when I get mine in.

I'm such a rube that after deciding I wanted the Hot Rod Super Mode version I went out and bought the standard Hot Rod to go with him. At least he was cheap...
I love the idea of this release but when it came to execution the only things that felt worthwhile were the accessories, jolt and the powerlinx vehicle deco, which doesn't justify the price point. His face's sculpt and shiny paint seemed to detract imo. Also the tolerances on my copy were terrible - every joint waist down is so much more loose than the original release which is such a shame given the price point. Still happy they gave us this version tho - love the flames on the vehicle homaging the original powerlinx release (which in turn is a nod to 86 hotrod) his alt mode is perfect. Jolt also perf, weapons and blast effects awesome but they don't tab in super well on the back

The original Hotshot looked and transformed the way he did, because of the Minicon gimmicks. Subsequent Hotshot figures that try to capture the original aesthetic, but without the gimmicks, tend to look a tad awkward. If they had created a Legacy Hotshot, but made it more with a G1 aesthetic, like they did with Prime Bulkhead, then there would have been more of a backlash from the Armada fans.
Not too hot on the Hot Shot mold either, just feels overly chunky in some areas and malnourished in others on top of the weird posing and tolerances. Probably gonna try to sell him off when I get the set for Jolt and the new guns.
Did you manage to find out how much he would be sold for? I see others mentioning how the price is disappointing but I can't find a specific listing/preorder.
Just got this guy in and while i understand this figure is definitely not the best out of evolution figure but compared to the previous armada hot shot figures the evolution one is definitely way better than what came before . Also Jolt is what the micromasters and target master should have been .
What I want to know is who is the seaker in the box art I thought it was armada thrust but he has starcreams mold but with different wings a cone head and arm wings If it is armada thrust and if that's what he'll look like then I'll be super disappointed
Have I just missed the release of this guy, or something? I've been stalking Amazon and Pulse for this figure, and I can't find him anywhere except eBay auctions. Is he released officially yet, is he not? I genuinely want this figure for that Minicon, but I can't find him ANYWHERE.
I’m pretty sure he’s gonna come out as a pulsecon exclusive. But cos pulse doesn’t ship in Australia it went to a retailer here called jbhifi and somehow they got it in well early.

Dang lucky you that it popped up in Australia first. I didn’t even see a preorder on Hasbro Pulse yet lol. Might definitely try to get him for sure being a big fan of Armada growing up. I'm late on him, but he's $38US on Amazon, so he's on the way. I'm not into the Unicron trilogy, but have picked up a few of the enw ones, Prime, Screamer, Megs, Cybertron Screamer, so why not? Got him, and the new one Cybertron one, on the way. Unfortunately as well as a way overpriiced $80 Snarl. Leaves just Swoop, and a non neon Grimlock to round that team out. so yeah. I guess I'm not done afterall. I didn't buy a single transformers product last month, thought I was priced out, then the next month, I overpay for 2 figures, cuz, I'm consistant......ly inconsistant.
Hahahaha so often I’ll tell myself imma pass on a figure, then there will be a sale or I see them in person on a day where I need a pick me up and there they are

I don't know, but every video I've seen of this repaint, makes this figure look way better. Maybe it's the whole package. Maybe it's shiny thing good.

It was a pretty cool character turn. Armada had some cool concepts and developments but man are the kids annoying.

I just got mine today, the first was 24.99 and this was 44.99 here in the UK and I totally did not mind paying it

Yeh the guns and minicon do a lot of the heavy lifting to making this guy worth it
