I’m so excited I found you. I’ve gone through so many planners trying to find planner happiness. I found a Stalogy and really wanted to use it. But didn’t know how. Then I found you and you have really helped. I am finding happiness towards the end of this year and I’m getting everything ready for the first of the year. I can’t thank you enough
Aww I'm so pleased to hear that!! A blank notebook can seem very overwhelming but once you find your groove, you will be so comfortable in it. Have fun!!
I've messed up SO MANY Pages in my planners. The thing I do first is figure out the first layout. I usually decorate the first few pages, do the monthly calendar and then set up my weeklies. From there I decide if I want to have the weeklies the same for the next month and sometimes I'll forward plan each month. I then figure out WHERE I want my collections. Those tend to change until I find a good flow. Before I put pen to paper, I use pencil because you can erase and tweak as you go. It's a little more work because you have to go back and erase the lines but it's better than ripping out pages or gluing pages together to cover the errors. I absolutely love the idea of letting your children color in the beginning to make it less intimidating to begin in a new planner. Thank you
This was a great watch, thank you! I'm moving into a Stalogy next year from a TN and I'm really looking forward to having some extra width to play with!
Because of you 💕 I started using a B6 Stalogy in September, to start with, one day per page but due to COVID there wasn’t much happening...so started using a week to an opening. Doing this style of planning allows me to change to any style needed. I’m back in the office in January so will likely go back to one day per page as there’ll be more going on. Thank you so much for sharing your set ups 💕 Hope you have a lovely and peaceful Christmas 🎄 and New Year.
It really is such a versatile notebook that allows for so many different systems to be incorporated. I'm glad you have found a way to make it work for you😊 Hope you have a wonderful Christmas too.
The chunk in your planner is so yummy looking. I could listen to you talk all day. Thank you for sharing your process and tips. Merry Christmas from Ohio
I might have too many stalogies for 2021 but I really love them. I have an A5 for a bullet journal, I'm hoping I can fit 6 months in it. I have an A6 for a commonplace book and a B6 as my daily journal. I agree pen, marker and water color tests are a must. Also if photo paper is too think just print the photos on regular paper to avoid the bulk. I like a chunky book so it doesn't bother me 😊
Wow this was incredibly helpful. I love the idea of having your kids draw or doodle on the first page. I recently had my toddler draw in my hobonichi weeks- on the right side of the pages since I didn't know what to do with them. I love this idea and it's so nice to look at her little doodles. I am using an a6 techo as my planner for 2021 but I love the b6 stalogy so much that I have decided to use one as a notes/brain dump notebook. I think having tabs will be incredibly useful for it. I might just make my own using washi tape! XOXO thanks for inspiration Daksina!
That's so lovely! And it'll be beautiful to look back on. Use what you have, that's always the best thing!! Thank you for always taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it a lot😊
Daksina well thanks to you for always responding. You’re hands down my favorite youtuber. I feel you are very genuine and like I know you through your videos! Happy holidays!
@@Daksina I had a question for you- what do you recommend for making a daily to do/routine which does not change day to day? I was thinking of making a book mark? Have you done something like this?
@@ssd1453 Yes, I have an evening routine printed on a vellum dashboard tipped in at the front of my planner. I have also laminated sticky notes after writing my morning routine of them😊
I’m thinking of treating mine like a coloring book by using my stencils for decor then going back in with my Prismacolors when I have time. I did it a few years ago when I was in a Techo. Another thing I’ve tried is stamping, but not with a stamp pad that can lead to bleed thru. I color the stamps with my water-based Crayola Supertip markers (very inexpensive, easy to clean etc.) I’ve had mine for years and they were like $10 for 100 markers. The trick to stamping is to stay in the lighter color range I’ve found. The hump/thickness is nice but I like mine slimmer personally so it’s easier for me to write on as I go. Great tips as usual Daksina! 😊
I love those ideas!! I had fun stamping and colouring in in my Cousin and I definitely want to do more! I think you’re absolutely right about using lighter ink for stamping.

Thank you Daksina for this very helpful video. I just bought my first Stalogy, and you really helped me to start using it (I didn't have a clue how to use it) and reminding that it doesn't have to be perfect, the main thing is just to use it 😚
Omg this was so helpful. You called me out about not wanting to mess up 😂🙊 but I'm getting over it..EVENTUALLY! lol. My tip would be...a pen test with highlighting. I did 5 secs then highlights vs 15 secs then highlight. Also a grid spacing page
I find it hard to commit to sections even though I hate having things scattered. It’s a consistent battle but I would rather just go page by page. I also make lists of things I collect like bath and body work candles and soaps.
I know what you mean! This is why I have a few separate pages at the back that are sectioned off. But the majority of it is scattered in-between. I like your idea of listing things you collect!
I am confused. Bcause of this video, I de-ringed my personal Malden as well, and an A6 Techo barely fits in (I just layed it in loosely because I don't want to cut the back cover). So I am irritated why your B6 fits in
Mystery just solved! Mine is not a personal, it's a pocket. It was adopted from eBay, and Iwas new to the planner world .... so I had to believe whatever size they told me it was. Thanks for this inspiring video!
Awesome ideas, as usual!!! 🥰 One of my problems is I find it hard to commit to one size or type of notebook since there are so many lovely ones out there. But every time I watch one of your videos, I wistfully think about using only one type. For me, I think that would be a Nanami Cafe Tomoe River Paper notebook in B6 Slim. It’s the one I keep going back to between all the other ones. 😉 P.S. I think the word you’re looking for (for removable stickers) is repositionable? 🤔
Yes!!! Repositionable!😂 Thank you!! I completely get that about different notebooks. I have heard such great things about the Nanami slim though so I think that's a great choice!😊
