The fabric is a luxury silk satin that I bought at local fabric store in Denmark: juels.dk/products/pakke-2-5m-silke-2-5m-viskosefoer?_pos=5&_psq=silke&_ss=e&_v=1.0&variant=47546253869379 (don't know where you are based but the store ships to all of Europe)

Could I use a plain weave cotton cut on the bias? And what size dress straight pins are you using?

Hey! Thanks for commenting 😀 I’m not sure cotton would work since cotton doesn’t have much natural drape, which is important for this design. But you can always try! Best, Iben

Hi! Thanks for asking. Yes, I think a cotton jersey would be OK provided the fabric has good drape…. But perhaps a viscose jersey would be better. You can experiment a little 😊
