Guys, just saying that you don't require high levels to get the X-01 armor, but below the level 30-40 you'll have really small chances to find the right one. So I recommend to get to levels above 40 or 50 to get higher chances, but remember: even if you are in levels above 100, you'll still have a chance not to get the X-01, but the T-60 or T-51 one. So get ready a backup before entering the "area" where the power armor lies if you don't get the right one. If you fail, just load the backup and try again. Hope this helped. Thanks for reading.
I found the head torso and arm our of pure luck, I was level 36 and the armour was only mk I and the head was mk II but I went back and gave the pieces mk V and have like 2000 armour protection, it was near the prydwen except accross the ocean from it. I can't remember the location
Also for anyone who needs an x01 helmet you can steal one using dog meat at the prydwyn by pick locking the door to the cage were the vendor is and commanding dog meat to fetch the helmet and it will not have the red steal tag
Or if you don’t have master lock pick use vats with a melee weapon then cancel at last second then when you grab but don’t steal the things you want and push them out the window then wait for someone to walk by then do the cats glitch again on that person that walks by the walk downstairs and steal it
After like 800 hours of play, I had never realized that there were multiple X-01 sets laying around. Always thought there was just one guarded by the assaultron. Probably walked by a few others under level 30 and thus found 45/51 armor. Thanks.
I found a full suit of x-01 power armor Mk1 model in the satellite array due west of Fort Hagen. Its where you have to go with Ava to collect the Robobrain on the Mechanist Quest line. It was behind an expert level security gate. Should look into it. I was level 57 at the time so the odds of finding it may have been higher than normal
I discovered while testing many game play through tests, maxing out your luck stats will help with finding full sets. If your level is too high while searching for power armor, you will end up mostly finding XO1 power armors. Your luck and level is important in finding a full set and type of power armor. Note: when ever my Luck is maxed I noticed I will find full suits, when luck state is low, I find partial suits! One time I waited tell my Character was level 50 plus before I went power armor hunting, and all I could find is XO1. So level is important in finding type, luck is important in finding full sets or partial suits
I am a Fallout junkie, I've gotten around possibly 30+ full sets of x-01 power armor. Not to mention my other huge collection of armor. I know some great locations (besides these) to get full sets. Even at an exceptionally low level I presume. (I am at level 194, it's been a while so It's not a guarantee) I can make a video for those interested; just say the word and I'll get on it.

Theres also a spot in fort strong with X-01 and another place I cant remember. With fort strong dont fast travel to the building walk to it (using the land bridge) and theres a small building (its the checkpoint you encounter before you get to the actual fort). It should be in there. With my encounter (level 58) the armor was almost a full set, and was only missing the right leg.
One minor error, at 2:30 you mention to travel to the Disposal Site, but you you actually want to go Fast Travel further east and travel to the Natick Police Station, then head south past the Red Rocket Garage.
Hey man up im sure you won't see this but you actually missed one suit that I found, this video really helped me and I thought I could help you. If you go to a place called west Everett estates head south until you find a hill with two tanks a crashed plane and a utility protectron. By the crashed plane should be a set of x-01 power armor.
West Everett estates is located south of vault 75 and north of the cannot house, it is on the northern shore inland a little bit. West Everett estates has building that look quite similar to the ones in sanctuary hills
There is a complete set of power armor UNDER the fort Hagen satellite array. (It might require atomatron dlc) it is Mk. 3 and is accessed through the first big room. (the room has power armor stations) search around the walls for an expert pick locking door. have fun.
Yeah same here ive pieced together x01 pieces from various locations b4 to form a set but after automatron came out i too found mk3 and man oh man it being non rusty and new i felt like a kid at Christmas, i eventually maxed out the upgrades on it and made a jet pack
That was the first set of X-01 i ever found. I had totally avoided watching Fallout vids until i completed the game. so I honestly had no idea the X-01 even existed until i came across it. I had thought it was part of the Atomatron DLC XD

I found X-01 power armor when digging in Bobbi's mission (in goodneighbor) so if you miss some parts, go check it out :D You have to kill some mirelurks and mirelurk king... But when that little robot blow up the first wall, in the next room there will be 2 walls (first leads to power armor second to diamond city)
Hello Sir, this guide was quite helpful but I've found several other locations. 1- National Guard Training Yard in the Armory located near the building in the yard, be aware of several trip wires and a Sentry Bot outside. 2- To the east of the Training Yard, there is a BOS Checkpoint, there is a semi truck which has pieces of an X-01 suit that could or SHOULD finish the one you just picked up from the Yard. If anyone else has other locations respond to this so he can find them.
I have 40 lvl and search a lot of forts od national guard outpost and keep finding t 51. In court 35 finaly I find X-01 III full set. Thanks for this guide!

you Can find one xo-1 armor hemlet if you go to the trader in the BoS blimp. the hemlet is on the table behind the trader. (btw you Have To steal this one but you Can steal it by hiding behind the trader
I'm level 42. I got first x01 at 39. I went to these locations and I'm getting t51. And t60 lol. Also where is the location you stored all these power armors in?
1:40 this actually happened to me. That is the exact armor glitch I got for the X-01 If the terminal (expert) is too difficult at south Boston military point, ask Deacon or Nick Valentine to unlock it for you. Other companions may not be able to unlock because the don't want to or they don't have the option.
at the south boston checkpoint, whenever i went to the power armor it sometimes appearred as an X 01 suit but all armor pieces were T 51, and upon entering the suit of power armor it popped back to looking like T 51. good ol bethesda
Another bonus to the second set is despite at first the glitched power amour not having a left arm piece, when it turns back to normal, the arm is back
I was playing and calming another suit but in the 5 seconds I got out of my main suit someone from the brotherhood took it and so I had to kill everybody there (I'm a setinel There)
Lesson to be learnt dont take your power armor off in Brotherhood of steel presence unless you tend to stay inside it. You could have tried following them until you and them are alone and then make sure they are walking in a straight line and crouch behind them save and keep doing pick pockets and if they react to you pick pocketing them just load the save of you behind them and eventually you will be able to take tbe fusion core out of the Armor without the person knowing
Go to court 35, east of GoodNeihboor. Just head on up and you have to deal with an automatron and a sentry bot. Once they've been dealt with, you'll need to push two buttons too open a door of full x-01. Take note that at first it'll look like t-51 armor, but the parts say x01. Once you wear it, you should see a sexy looking full suit of x01
Thanks for the help man I have like 5 xo-1 suits now XD anyway I found some more tips for people: 1) there is a suit of power armour at most brotherhood checkpoints if you level 30 or above it will almost always be xo-1 hope this helps people
There is a glitch (at least for me) where the x-01 armour looked like t-60 but was really x-01, it was incredibly confusing and when I saw it first I reverted the save and did the building over again and it turned out to be x-01
I don't know anything special yet for the X-O1 and T-51 power armors, but the T-45 is the only armor that can have the minutemen paint job (railroad paint job too, but I just remembered that the T-51 might have it too, but I'm not sure). The T-60 is the only armor that can have the BOS paint job(s).

i found some locations of X-01 power armor and they weren't shown here. ill just mention some: 1st. go to the satellite array and head east, you'll see a building with shipping containers and inside them, there's a X-01 Mk.III power armor but you'll have to lockpick it. 2nd. same location as the first but you'll have to go inside the armory of the building i mentioned. you need hacker perks for this and just access some terminals and you'll open the door to a X-01 power armor. 3rd. go to the galactic zone in nuka world and inside it, you'll see a command center that you'll need to fix with star cores. find all star cores to fix the terminal. once you've done that, you can open the display case of the X-01 power armor.
Don't know if it's been said yet but a lot of these are level based. I found most of these during my 1st play through with a character lower than level 30 and none of them were X01. I waited during my 2nd play through until I was around level 40+ and all of them were X01. I was around level 45/50 when I went to get the one in the lake outside Murkwater and it was a complete set of MKIV.

I looked for these and I only found T-60 armor (I'm lvl 43). The only X-01 amor that I have is the helmet I stole from the shop in the Prydwen

For me, X-01 power armour is the second most common with T-60 being first, and the T-45 is the rarest...

game changes depending on difficulty level. if you play at hard difficulty, you can access better armor faster to help you survive.

You could have tried following them until you and them are alone and then make sure they are walking in a straight line and crouch behind them save and keep doing pick pockets and if they react to you pick pocketing them just load the save of you behind them and eventually you will be able to take tbe fusion core out of the Armor without the person knowing

Go to court 35, east of GoodNeihboor. Just head on up and you have to deal with an automatron and a sentry bot. Once they've been dealt with, you'll need to push two buttons too open a door of full x-01. Take note that at first it'll look like t-51 armor, but the parts say x01. Once you wear it, you should see a sexy looking full suit of x01

That can't be true
physically not possible. the lowest level a full set of x-01 is level 25. parts are very rare at low level

The set thats at s boston military place is bugged like the one at court 35 but the opposite. Even if an x01 set spawns, it turns into a t51 set.

Thanks for the help man I have like 5 xo-1 suits now XD anyway I found some more tips for people: 1) there is a suit of power armour at most brotherhood checkpoints if you level 30 or above it will almost always be xo-1 hope this helps people

2:00 I've never been there, and when I checked, it was T-51... I was at level 51 when I finally went there
There is a glitch (at least for me) where the x-01 armour looked like t-60 but was really x-01, it was incredibly confusing and when I saw it first I reverted the save and did the building over again and it turned out to be x-01

I don't know anything special yet for the X-O1 and T-51 power armors, but the T-45 is the only armor that can have the minutemen paint job (railroad paint job too, but I just remembered that the T-51 might have it too, but I'm not sure). The T-60 is the only armor that can have the BOS paint job(s).
I'm only level 28 and found all the pieces in only 30- mins using this vid

Once for all (after alarm type of ARMOR is setup)
T-45 = lvl 6-9
T-45b = lvl 10-13
T-51 = lvl 14-17
T-51b = lvl 18-20
T-60 = lvl 21-24
T-60b = lvl 25-27
X01 mk I = lvl 28-31
X01 mk II = lvl 32-35
X01 mk III = lvl 36+
i found some locations of X-01 power armor and they weren't shown here. ill just mention some:
1st. go to the satellite array and head east, you'll see a building with shipping containers and inside them, there's a X-01 Mk.III power armor but you'll have to lockpick it.
2nd. same location as the first but you'll have to go inside the armory of the building i mentioned. you need hacker perks for this and just access some terminals and you'll open the door to a X-01 power armor.
3rd. go to the galactic zone in nuka world and inside it, you'll see a command center that you'll need to fix with star cores. find all star cores to fix the terminal. once you've done that, you can open the display case of the X-01 power armor.

Don't know if it's been said yet but a lot of these are level based. I found most of these during my 1st play through with a character lower than level 30 and none of them were X01. I waited during my 2nd play through until I was around level 40+ and all of them were X01. I was around level 45/50 when I went to get the one in the lake outside Murkwater and it was a complete set of MKIV.
