So there's this guy... That worked HARD to get a brick and mortar, became successful, and STILL takes us along to do those dirty jobs that most stop doing after success arrives. This is exactly why you are my Absolute Favorite inspiration. Because it's not a Job or a Work form... It's a lifestyle. Most humans don't have, never have had, nor will ever have that magnificent quality. Thank you for being that man. You do more for people than most ever will. ❤️
I hate to be that guy but that table would have came home with me. Very easy fix with wood glue and some clamps or Ratchet straps and a little wood putty if needed
yes same for me . its just some people have too much wealth and only do certain types of work . my brother made it clear to me that he wont do anything if he can only get a hundred dollars for it . the stands for that table looked in pretty good condition .
carmichael moritz this is very true! Some people evaluate the involvement of the repair versus what they make (or can make) per hour, so that would explain why he passes on quite a few of the items he comes across that needs to be repaired.
@@deenasmusicbox yup . it just goes to show , any person with as big of a business as his that goes to a good will or thrift store for resale items , cant be all that good of a person . just saying . some truly good poor person might of just missed out on a great deal , something they needed .
Pete, my family have watched all your videos, we agree with you, disagree with you, laughed with and about you, and also have cried with you. We love the videos, we feel we know you as if you were our local store. Keep it up Pete, great editing skills.......
As he is standing next to a large recycling dumpster overflowing with boxes...."boxes, great! Can I get some of those boxes from you" sounding like an overly excited kid in Santas work shop & hitting the mother load!! That lady probably felt so good that she made your day by letting you have some boxes. God bless you Pete!! You're always such fun to watch, you never let your fans down.
Have you ever been approached by the police while dumpster diving? My brother in law is a scrapper and was once charged for trespassing while dumpster diving. They tacked on a public nuisance charge to boot and the charges stuck. This was in New Jersey. I imagine the companies might consider it a liability if a dumpster diver is injured on their property, but otherwise it is just being draconian.
That's because nj is full of shit!! They rather put good stuff in a landfill than let it be recycled and used. NJ sucks. Most places have a no trespassing sign if they don't want you dumpster diving. But check laws in nj. They may have a law against it. Also check ticket. It should have law or ordinance # that was violated.
I would have grabbed the table legs and the lamp...you may get a lamp shade at a later date..lamps are so easy to fix..I have found and fixed so many and made good money on them. Open the boxes of broken wine glasses usually 1 or 2 broken...and one or 2 are good..you could have still saved those two Christmas trees and fixed the one that had the part and repurposed the other.. Everything in those dumpsters can’t be perfect.. You have to put a little blood sweat and tears into fixing them and show what being a dumpster diver is all about..You don’t like to get your hands dirty..I am a 50 yr old woman.. I do it! I even get caught. I don’t even lie about the boxes..I tell the.m I am diving. They don’t care! They are used to people doing it!
That table could have crack filled and painted. At least the legs could have been put to good use. Maybe with another top or glass. I liked those trees. Pete, a get a grabber!! And heavy duty gloves.!
This is the reason why i started watching your video before those old good times that you found like violine with a case, turtle cement display and more. Ok time to watch your new dumpster diving Pete.
I like those small boxes similar to the Versace for shipping somewhat delicate stuff. They are usually fairly sturdy and not too heavy. Often can keep it, 1st class.
When Blockbuster was closing all of its stores I looked in their dumpster and it was full of movies. There were hundreds of movies and games. Everything they rented or sold was in that dumpster. I sold them to everyone I knew and I still have a box of them left. Its amazing what companies will just toss in the trash..
I need that metal tree collar😩it fits around the base of a Christmas tree similar to a tree skirt. The lamp needed a clear globe like shade which looks cool when used with an Edison bulb.
9:15 - The making of the thumbnail for this video, lol. I love it, Pete! Man, so hard to find some good stuff; took a lot of dumpsters just to find one thing! Thanks for sharing this journey with us, I found it fun.
Super Aquatic you really overestimate what TH-cam pays us lol. My guess is he does it because it’s fun. I still have a few low profit parts of my business that only exist because I enjoy them.
@@ResaleRabbit of course he does it cuz its fun. It's the thrill of the hunt! I'm just saying that even on a day when he finds nearly nothing, he is still insuring himself to make at least something through the video. That is what you call an elite dumpster diver.
Empty boxes are a really good seller. I recently got hold of several boxes of empty iPad boxes which had all the paperwork and stickers in and they sold great..
Like diving with you I have trouble walking and too old to go but enjoyed it as a kid running up and down the alley checking stuff out Thanks for the video!
The only thing I hate about reselling is the repeated questions about listed items. Even when I post a full description of an item I get questions about it that has already been answered in my description. Its the craziest thing ever but I keep calm and answer their questions again because I do understand it can be confusing sometimes and the outcome will effect my reputation.
You need to get one of those metal grabbers so you can reach, grab and flip things over without actually getting in and getting dirt so much. And wear your gloves! 😂😂
I would be afraid that rug had small pieces of broken glass since the dumpster it was found in had lots of broken glass in it. Great video. Thanx for posting.
that table was an easy fix.. I know, maybe not something you were willing to do. One mans trash is another mans treasure. I really appreciate these videos! thank you my friend.
I was selling sun-glass cases and boxes. ebay started pulling my listings saying the counterfeiter would buy real cases for their fake sunglasses. Ridiculous.
Thank you Pete for the funny video, I couldn't stop laughing at all the noises you were making, and how quick you said you were looking for boxes when you got busted lol!
The table legs I know you can make something? If you ever watch Flea market Flip, and even if you found these in the dumpster I think you can make good money at the shop. I didn't think there anything wrong with the 2 other Christmas trees make good picture frames? Cool drive! Thanks!
I always wonder how respectable looking guys like him get into dumpster diving lol just add a hard hat and clip board and he looks like a project manager on a big construction site or something lol
wearing a hard hat when not at a construction site looks weird. I would instantly question that as most of us never wear any longer than we have to.... but wearing a small tool belt or tool pouch, with a safety vest and/or an id badge most people will just think you are working there. 99% of the time when Im at work when I walk in a place no one even asks why I am there.
It's Goodwill, though, and from what I've seen they're really not into book reselling. As with anything made from paper, the condition of the book will affect the value. They probably get hundreds of book donations every week, and if they're old, musty and water stained they're really not able to resell them.
Buy a mini tripod with bendable legs to attach to the upper rim of large dumpsters to record yourself. [In the book dumpster at 22:07, there was a 1000 piece puzzle under the Trader Joe's Bag you picked up. I wish you would have checked to see if it was sealed. Obviously not worth going back to look at.]
im sure someone would have bought that table off you as a project to fix up or something ... or the legs/stands for it could have been sold at the least ... worth a lot more than that giant bag of styrofoam !!! ...
@ 23:15 - Maybe you could have used those price stickers in your store at some point. And the nice quilted bubble wrap sheeting. That's the good stuff there! I always grab it when I find it. Like you, one of the dumpsters I check is a PetSmart - and a PetCo (I think that's the name). A few nights ago I watched a video where you pulled a bunch of dog food from PetSmart's dumpster and donated it to the local pet rescue. The very next morning I found 3 large bags of dog food in PetSmart's dumpster. 48lbs in total, with an expiration date of Aug 2020. They usually cut the pet food bags and dump it into the dumpster, but this time they left those bags intact. They're the more expensive brands and I checked to make sure they weren't recalled. So our small dog now has enough food to last through the next year or more.

Hey Bob - that Polish guy is out there crawling around in the dumpsters again.
I'm calling security.
Hey I'm Polish and I am not guilty this time. I was just watching.
And he's filming himself.
"Hey can I get some boxes?" Nice save Pete! I would of done the same ;)
When things get slow do you dumpster dive your own dumpster?
I hate to be that guy but that table would have came home with me. Very easy fix with wood glue and some clamps or Ratchet straps and a little wood putty if needed
Z BEAR yeah specially for a 700 or 800.00 table!

Pete is the eternal optimist, "with all this horseshit there has to be a pony in here some where",
🤣 did he really say that? If he did, I missed it 😏
Most definitely need a reacher grabber tool. Cost: $10-20. Avoiding the backache: Priceless.
Peter, please let us know if the snowman works.
“Nothing in here but garbage.” 😆😆😆
Multimillionaire, Pete, still dumpster diving... Never forget your roots! ❤️
multimilionnaire? In which currency?
Japanese yen
I would say Pete is very wealthy.
Agreed definitely not a millionaire
pesos lol@@goqsane

The snowflake thing that you thought went to the lamp was def a decorative christmas tree base and not the lamp shade.
yep, 100%. my wife bought one.
I used one as a fire pit surround. lol
You should of takin the box to store the snowman !!!! It is very cute hope the lites work !
One man's trash is another man's treasure
And did the snowman light up ???
Pete, I wish you still did videos like this!!!! So much passion for the hunt of items to resell!!!

The thumbnail shot...Pete you are hilarious.
@Camaro 1968 You're right. I'm sure Pete was mocking it. These **** always doing it

looks like that floor baby crib mat.
9:15 - The making of the thumbnail for this video, lol. I love it, Pete! Man, so hard to find some good stuff; took a lot of dumpsters just to find one thing! Thanks for sharing this journey with us, I found it fun.
I love how you're doing this in the daylight, usually this would be considered a night time activity
That lamp was very sleek & with a decorative light bulb it would be a nice light fixture for a contemporary bedroom or living room. I'd take it.
Absolutely good to know you are still diving!
Hahahaha.... BOXES! Every time you repeat the word, it becomes more hilarious!
Pete becarful some good finds! Thanks for taking us along. 🐱😍🐺
I like how he has 40-50k in Ebay sales every month and still digs thru dumpsters

its cute how you get excited about santa coming home with you
Empty boxes are a really good seller. I recently got hold of several boxes of empty iPad boxes which had all the paperwork and stickers in and they sold great..
the round metal christmas thing you found with the lamp goes around the bottom of a christmas tree to keep kids/ animals away/decoration
That was part of a baby mat. It connects and pops up over the baby (as you mentioned) plays music and will have toys for the baby to play with/bat at.
You shouldn't of left that lamp! They are used without a lamp shade and an edison light bulb.
Dont know about you Pete but I just love that stuff. Its the thrill of the hunt!
Great video! Crystal clear.
Epoxy the table together-- Good work table. Yes you can sell those boxes. There is a market.
Yes and the legs themselves could fetch some good money too.
I get so nervous when Pete makes a loud noise in the dumpster
Dumpster Ninja!!
