And welcome to our first EVER Ban List Speculation video! A lot of other Digit-Tubers have been gearing up to ponder if a new ban list is on the way and we are no exception. We have the unique perspective of being a team with multiple points of view, so would great to get some feedback! Maybe, next time, we almost run this more like a podcast? Who knows!

Great vid guys really fair points all round both the limiting of certain cards or even just dont changed anything at all case at the end of the day we are going to be speedrunning new sets going forward so we will have to see what bandai does.

That is a really good point. I think we're all slowly leaning to the idea of nothing changing. With all the sets coming so quickly ban liars may not matter until we catch up with Japan.
I’d like to see Greymon X come off the list as well, but with an errata so that it can only be used by Greymons with virus in its traits, so that it isn’t abused by every Greymon deck.
That would be a good way to balance it and would actually remove the specific interaction with BT12 MetalGreymon that got it limited in the first place.
Another option I don't see many people discuss is the use of the choice restriction list. As an ex Vanguard player these lists actually come in clutch a lot so having maybe a choice restriction between Magna X and pata and even Rapid X may work better than an errata since it would be hard to implement as u have said. Than or maybe its best to just nuke it and call it a day I'm not sure cuz as a pure Magna player idk if I'm biased 🤣
Yeah, someone said about a choice limit in the comments and I think that could be great idea. We've already seen one with the Sayo & Koh not being allowed in decks alongside ST15 Matt, BT13 Keenan and Promo Zubamon. Definitely could do the job, force decks to be more tribal in nature. You wouldn't want it to get out of hand, what with Digimon's concept being that all Digimon can become all Digimon, but definitely could be a solution to certain problematic decks.
Looking ahead at the future in Japan, I don't think they're going to hit anything any time soon. Nume is falling, Magna has tanked. I think they're just going to print new broken cards and move on, unless someone discovers a new exploit loop or something.
Honestly, I think you are right. We're at an awkward point where our meta and Japan's meta are at different points in terms of power scaling and a lot of the cards that we outside of Japan are concerned about are cards that Japan has long since left behind.
But there’s loads of exploits though. 🤔
Please Please Please! We need a banlist. We need a Meta Shakeup!
See, it's interesting. On the one hand, a shake would be great and there are definitely some cards which are problematic but we're going through changes so quickly that maybe a ban list is unnecessary? Especially when you take the Japanese meta into account as well. There's a lot of different perspectives when it comes to it, really interesting to see!

If pata gets limited he should be choice limited, meaning he cant be played alongside rapid x and magna x , i dont believe he is worthy to be limited outside of that since yellow vaccine doenst do as good as people give it credit for , my choice for the limit list affecting yellow vax would be either emissary like you said or t.k.
A choice limit is a good idea! But, you are right, Yellow Vaccine isn't the undisputed best deck but it could be should other decks receive bans.
@@DUDigimon 100%, but pata isnt the problem , i play yellow angels a whole lot, and pata is a high risk high reward UNLESS you have tk who sets up security, which is why i think he should be the limited one
@@nekobrando9752 Yeah, that's a really good point. T.K. certifies that the Pata will go off rather than relying on RNG. He's the enabler for the enabler of the strategy.

That's a fair shout actually, you'd be able to turbo into JetSilph and gain a recovery as you swing. Then, if it dies, get a tamer back.

Jetsilph is still busted at 4 that will never change, evolve for 1 and recovery with no restriction is busted

See, part of me agrees with you as I played Yellow Vaccine before BT16 and am planning to build the Angels deck come EX6. But, that Patamon is TOO GOOD! The fact it allows for a deck to utilise both Rapid X and Magna X is pretty bonkers.

@@fran7051 But, they'd still be able to go into the Rapidmon X. The real thing when it comes to banning or limiting a card is figuring out what enables a broken strategy. In the case of Yellow Armour, the deck lives or dies on seeing Patamon to go into the level 4's for free and then digivolve straight into a Rapid X or having that armour form in the stack to later go into Magna. I'm leaning towards the idea of them not changing anything though, but we'll have to wait and see.

Nah dude.. Apocalymon can easily destroy the meta again, that card just trashes all cards from your deck, if u can't go to merciful mode or your paladin mode ace is on trash u lost the game. Apocalymon is still playable at 1 on Belphemon.. I'm pretty sure people will start to play as soon they realize how strong and easy it is to use it with gizmon package.
Magna x needs to go or be limited to1
I get where you are coming from. Extremely powerful card. For me, I think an errata would do the job. Make it's effect specifically required Magnamon or X Antibody instead of the Armour Form. Then it wouldn't be as splashable on stuff like Yellow Armour. There are also a fair few decks that just ignore Magna entirely. Numemon goes so wide that blocking twice is irrelevant, Mirage can make itself unlockable etc.
@@DUDigimon an Errata could work but it still leaves the problem of trying to get rid of it if we can't attack it with that buff and immunity sure now that card is not splashable so now everyone gonna be playing veemon variation. if they want to errata make it that it's only digimon effect they are unaffected and can be affected by option cards.
