Great interview!!! Already emailed to reach out to John about those performance metrics. Would love to see what metrics help make a project and portfolio a success at the end of the day. Great points from John on standardization of templates for project/portfolio management being key to success. I've done some greenbelt training for engineering DRM (similar to 6sigma, but more for production). Been applying a lot of these principles to both my technical and project management responsibilities. I've really enjoyed all the templates you have shared so far 🙂 looking forward to future templates if you find anything that could be super useful, especially when managing the team's capabilities with respect to time capacity 😅 definitely something my org is trying to get better visibility on

Hey, I'm delighted that you enjoyed the video - I'm really pleased with how it turned out. I've got some ideas about some template videos to make in the near future... especially as the weather's getting worse. Nobody caught a cold from making a risk log, but plenty have from standing in the rain talking to their camera! 😂

Hi Bradley! I've dropped you an email to arrange posting you a copy of the Metrics and Measures leaflet. Thanks!

Love that opening shot mate. Did you use face tracking for it, or have you invested in a camera person these days? 😛

That, my friend, is the power of the DJI OM 5 gimbal with DYI Mimo smartphone app. It locks onto your face like a Xenomorph Facehugger! Wonderful gear!

@@InfluentialPMO damn! Steven Spielberg is over here!
As long as your lav mic doesn't start bursting out of your chest in the future then I'd say that's a good purchase!

Does this cater for portfolio management of private equity as well?

Hi. Thank you for the video. It's interesting and helpful for further reflection. Do you have any idea what could be a good tool/kpi/approach for comparing and prioritizing different type of the projects within different portfolios? Ex.: one organization has Portfolio of innovation projects, Portfolio of projects for Savings, Portfolio of projects which could prevent Sales losses, etc. The resorces of the projects are the same. But how to decide which project is more important to start first and what should be postponed? Would be great to hear your thoughts on it.

There's a book called Management of Portfolios that you may enjoy. There are courses, of the same name, that lead to a certification that you may also want to explore.
