- Psalm 38 ~ David is crushed by the weight of his terrible murderous sin ~ and petitions God to forgive him. He tells God his wounds fester to the point of stinking, keeping his family, even, away. He has no one at this point in this life, but God. And now it looks like God will abandon him, too. He finishes his petition by addressing God as his Savior. Don't we all need a Savior? Every choice we make can falter into sin. Thank You, O Lord, for sending Your Son Jesus to be our Savior!
As always, I welcome your thoughts and comments ~ we're all learning here. I do not claim to be a theologian or Bible scholar in any way. In fact, the Good News got started because I wanted a deeper understanding of the Bible and prayed about that. Thus, God led me to do these daily devotions, where I have to dig deeper. He has recently gone viral with a short clip of a sermon, but this one, with the theme, "How far behind are you following," is a perfect message for each person to hear, especially a Christian! I encourage you to listen and, perhaps listen again. I am keeping this one on speed-dial!
Would you like to share His Gospel with others? Then I will eagerly support and encourage you! Start by praying and see where you go! Revelations 3:7b, What God opens, no man can shut, and what God closes, no man can open! When we are standing before such a mighty God as this, and His Holy Spirit will be with us, guiding and directing us, we will not fail! Harvesting for God can simply be reading His Holy Word and/or offering personal experiences or wisdom you have learned and earned through your life. Or it could be as creative and imaginative as God sends you ~ maybe even a garage band creating "Garage Gospel"! Remember, benefits are out of this world, in paradise! God bless you, my friend!

Yes, that was confusing! My daughter and granddaughter are fine ~ by the grace of God! Yes, David was definitely bad, but he was so good! He's proof the destroyer can destroy and deceive any one. A great lesson for us! Thank Goodness for David's message to us! And thank God for sending His Holy Son to be our Savior! Hallelujah!
