    May I mention and encourage, in Comrades 2022 I ran 10h04, in 2023 I did 8h53 with just over 800km in the year leading up to race day. Consistency is key!

    Thanks so much for the great advise. I will also be running the Durban International Marathon. Will this not affect the Comrades Marathon training as recovery time is needed after running a marathon.

    Nope, I had to explain to my friend what Comrades was. She then asked why would people do it and I explained more than 20 000 people are doing it.
