this video is not about using a new GPS or user manual, but rather my first impression! and what I don't like and I didn't even know what to press because they changed everything and it's hard to find anything! I just wanted to make a video about the first impression! I hope most of you also had the same problem before you surprised how to handle it!

You can use quick stops you just don't know how to find it. Add a stop>guided search>POI>then choose your option (my truck, a city, my route, or my destination)

I just bought it and I love it, I use my iPhone apps for truck stops and all the other stuff. I bought this GPS for what it’s meant to be, a navigation device for trucks
Thanks for the review. Looks like it's all there. Could take Alot of getting used to. Everything is the same except its moved around. to different screens. It's all so much BS. It looks like a bunch of new hires were asked to make it more advertisement friendly. I Hate That!! I Will Not Be Buying this unit Because of all the quick links to Sirius and easy to find food and entertainmet..... GTFOH... This should be banned by the DOT. Why is Rand McNally giving truck drivers More Distractions????. It has a Chrome Browser!!!?? Watch the Road dummy...!!!

Ahahahhh...Garmin is the best. Even the garmon drivesmart 61 is great.
I don't know who the hell does a review on an electronical device that they've only used for one day. Maybe you need to quit your whining and figure out how to use the machine. It has more options than any other GPS on the market. So stop your crying use the machine and you'll start to like it.

I have Rand macnally have the machine and I don't know how the camera works, I only have 15 minutes, what can I do to record 11 hours can u recommend something

Next time you make a video try playing around with it before you post a video. That way you will know what you’re talking about.. The pro 8 2.0 Has everything you said it does not have.

It has quick stop and you don't need wifi to use talk features you need wifi for weather fuel and traffic please don't make reviews on products if you don't know much about it.

you are comparing a product you have experience using to one you just took out of the box video is useless - sounds to me, you don't like change even if for the better 1
The problem I have with the original OverDrive 8 Pro is that if I am running the GPS and SiriusXM at the same time after several hours(around 4 or more) the device will shut down as if it is overloaded. Then you wait a bit and restart it and ALL the apps have to reload which can take like 15-20 minutes. Now, if I am dependent on that GPS for my next stop and that stop is only 15 minutes away I'm screwed. Also, I am in Southern New England, not the Rockies and at times I still lose the SiriusXM signal. They say the magnet is strong and it is for guys trucking on straight roads in the relatively flat midwest(as compared to where I end up) but when I first got the device there were a couple times on I-95, I-84(thru Waterbury, CT especially) and I-91(between Northampton, MA and Brattleboro, VT) where the road was so rough that the device came loose and ended up on the floor. I made some placement adjustments to stop that but I am hoping that the new OverDrive Pro II -8 will be even stronger. Also the OverDrive 8 Pro was not compatible with Google Play which means no Google maps as a cross reference and no Google apps. I hope they have addressed that issue. There were a couple other minor things but that could have just been from me not knowing(or finding). In saying that I do like the OverDrive 8 Pro and would consider buying the Pro II once I've seen a couple real life reviews from truckers with a little more knowledge of these products than Mr Vitek.
ha ha ha My knowledge was 0 zero ! I just wanted to film my self how I will react to the new GPS ! I was a bit disappointed because they change everything !!!

The beautifull box caused you to not understand and learn the new tech. I'm getting the Rolls Royce RM 1050 it has the ball mount option and a more beautifull box.
You gave up too easy. I had to return Garmin I wasn't happy with it's style, rather work through Rands issues and be happy with the box at least.

by the way my old GPS Rand McNally 740 is still working. I have done over 600,000 miles on it over six years also still working nothing compared to the new generation which is faulty.😎

I'm not recommend for anybody buying this expensive and it's bad navigation 🛑! buying it 7pro 11 and 8pro 11 I bought it Garmin Hope it's work good for me.
For (Quick Stops) ,Go To Route Options >Add Stop > Click on the button that look like [...] Now you'll see (Quick Stops) button at the bottom right corner. Like this comment so it can be seen.

I was watching your video and you mentioned that the Randy McNally overdrive 8 Pro 2 does not have the point of Interest or quick stop it does and I'm quite sure you found out by now that it does and I just thought maybe you could go back to that video and correct that because a lot of people are looking at that video for information and you provided false information so it would be really nice if you could go back and correct that statement about it not having the point of Interest or quick stops because it very well does or remove the video.
you probably didn't watch my video to the end🙄 but in the 28th minute of the video I finally found what I was looking for that Quick stop.
it's not my fault that they make more and more difficult software😠 instead of the simpler they make it worse👎
I just show how they make life difficult for the driver ! they had something good, they had to change so that people would get pissed off if it's not my fault ! 😎 It was my first reaction to this GPS😬 but probably after a week of studying I would have figured it out too😄
On the navigation map click the top right icon, click add stop, click 3 dots on top right and quick stops is on the bottom right.

Did you do the firmware update?
I didn't, because after two days I gave back this GPS and I came to the conclusion that what was good they did hopelessly and I will not buy it anymore!

The bottom right corner has 2 buttons now not 1. Your hitting the wrong button because its the same logo but does something different now. Hit the one right on the edge. So to the fight of the one you're hitting. You're just unfamiliar with these slight differences thats all.
By the way Garmins are some of the worst and most confusing GPSs i have ever used. The extra steps to just enter a new address are atrocious. Also routing is just plain sad. Go in big circles instead of cutting through on a legal route.

Most of your frustration can be solved by tapping the top right corner then tap "add a stop". From there you choose your new address or your quick stops, etc. That simple, you just have to experiment not complain!!
