Count me as one of the people who thinks the price point on this is crazy (why not include the pre Aaron issues too and make it 125 if youre that pressed to make money) but shout out to Omar for always having thorough overviews and being an encylopedic repository of information on whatever book he covers. We salute you!
I see a lot of complaints in the comments about the price and not many focusing on the actual content on the video. Thank you for the overview Omar. You do a great job of giving us just enough to make an informed decision on purchasing these books.
I know pricing has gone up on pretty much everything but Marvel seems to be going wild. Marvel’s got some great stuff upcoming but the prices are making me be extremely selective with my buys. Thx for the great overview as always Omar.
This is why I'm very cautious about buying omnis from DC and Marvel these days, used to be better before 2020. Indie hardcovers are thankful much cheaper and built excellently.
@@Martin_TheCollectorDC is putting out another thick Batman Adventures omni this year and only for 75 USD. DC is GENERALLY way less worse than Marvel when it comes to these things
Theory: part of the reason for the exorbitant price hikes is Marvel knows that many if not most readers who buy the omnibus format do so from online retailers who offer good discounts on them. That gives Marvel room to pad the pricing. Other reasons are inflation and…”strategy”.
This should be $50-$75 MAX. Inflation and shipping logistics doesn’t justify this massive jump in price and Marvel knows that. This is just margin gouging.
Why doesn’t this collect Annual 1-2 from the Ghost Rider: War for Heaven Book 1 TPB. This omni also doesn’t include Ghost Rider: Danny Ketch (2008) #1-5 from the Ghost Rider: War for Heaven Book 2 TPB by Jason Aaron??
Will definitely be picking this up 😊. Omar, do you know if they will be reprinting The Incredible Hulk by Peter David Volume 1 any time soon? I missed out.
EVERYTHING has gone up in 10 years time. I don't understand how people are still surprised by this. At least its not out of print and going for 300 dollars.
I was on the fence of grabbing this, but I managed to find the CCs for pennies on the dollar. The art is pretty good, but not must own in premium format good.
@@trishb.6398Sure paper price and such have gone up. If Marvel was still printing on thick paper I might understand the increase but they are not. They have raised the prices while also dropping the quality of the paper they use. So I am getting a worse book for double the price. That is a practice I just can’t support any longer.
So would you recommend this to someone who likes Ghost Rider but very much dislikes Aaron's writing with the exception of God Butcher and Black Panther? Can't wait for the Danny Ketch vol 1 and really hope more volumes for that series!
The problem I've always had with this omnibus is that it doesn't include the Danny ketch miniseries I know Jason Aaron did write it but it's still kinda odd if you want a complete
While I'm definitely interested in Ghostrider stuff... that small page count and asking price is a big fat no. If it goes on a big sale and I don't have too many other Omnibuses to get, I'll pick it up.
If we compare to Seven to Eternity Deluxe, which has the same number of pages, it's $40 more for a smaller format and poor quality paper. What a shame, Marvel only thinks about picking the readers' pockets.
Yeah I',m not sure why we as a community constantly defend/support Marvel and its ridiculous pricing. All my image books are far better quality than that of Marvel for lower prices. They can keep this book.
Seven to Eternity is Creator Owned. So before you go freaking out, that makes a big difference. The same people complaining about skipping this book, will be the ones complaining about it when it goes out of print. Never fails.
@@mattthompson3371 I would understand much more easily that an independent book is more expensive than that of a big corporation like Marvel. It's the opposite, your point doesn't make sense.
@@commander0zero That's the point. These overpriced books exist because people buy them unfortunately. So it’s up to people to make themselves heard by not buying. Not to mention the fact that they saturate the market by flooding it with constant releases.. (yes I'm tired of Marvel in recent years)
@@MrBen3D I guess you're new to collecting. Omar has explained this several times. There are overheads, lawyers, Creators who worked on the book (inkers, colorist, letterers) that get a cut of Marvel and DC books. Remender can share what he wants with his inker and penciler. Just to give you a quick run down of how it works. Look at Spawn, every time it's reprinted. Toddfather just sends one copy to his inker and colorist, not payments.
I have not read any ghost rider stories, but this looks too much like Garth Ennis’ Hellblazer. Maybe skip this and just pick up Danny Ketch ghost rider omnibus later?
Some of you seem to forget this is Jasons run of Ghost Rider. Not Daniels run of Ghost Rider. Its not called Daniels and Jason Ghost Rider omnibus. Just saying.
I don’t get the complaints about the price when this is what people wanted. Omnibuses are $100+ with very few seemingly reprint exclusive exceptions. We killed the OHC line so theres no reason to put the same content at half price
My complaint isnt the price even its the lack of the full story. Id pay the price if it had all the issues...but giving you a omnibus that starts on issue 20 is rediculous. The whole run is great so this is such a slap in the face.
@@xXCigarXx but its a straight up reprint so of course its the same content. Omnibus is less a kind of collected edition and more a price point and template for creator specific larger OHCs. Always has been. There will be $250 Omnis some day.

Crazy price .... Gerard Ways Doom patrol deluxe edition has the same page count and is only $50. Marvels prices are ridiculous.
I'm still collecting Ghost Rider through the Epic Collections.

😬
Prices have gone up in 14 years. But I do agree that it's a high price mark for measly 536 pages!
And IMAK printed at that...
Maybe new book is 2x expensive, but it has poorer quality 🙃
@fishin4bass2002 Only when you read something with that hero before Aaron 🙂

I just looked at CGN for their Next Week page and they have it for $60. That’s pretty good. Of course, that may not mean much to folks outside the US.
I ordered it on IST for $54

NOT INFLATION but GREEDFLATION......Not to bitch & moan but Kwik Trip does the same shit with their bullshit food
