Tru Dat. It was event tv not just in America but worldwide. It was the last prime time television show that literally stopped the world. Now, I don't even know what's happening, I have not own a T.V. for almost 15 years. Nothing is worth watching.
Yeah, me too! I loved Larry Hagman as JR! That wicked grin of his. It must have been great fun to be married to JR Ewing :-) A lot more fun than boring virtuous old Bobby.
Don’t mess with Bobby. He’s fast as lightning and has an adrenalized temper. Ray is right there with him. Bobby should have bashed Tommy’s brains completely out for what he did to April. Sadly, enough she was machine gunned down. Can’t remember why. I think Tommy was so high on drugs his Dad shot him to death. JR and Cliff couldn’t fight. They hid under tables. Lol. Jock could probably take them all out!!!
I remember Larry Hagman and the others talk about their fight scenes. Larry always said he went limp while Patrick, Steve, Howard and Ken went all in and Patrick replied: "And that's why we all have bad knees and he doesn't."
There was one more fight, It was actually in the first season of Dallas, when Sue Ellen went to a bar (this when she really started drinking) and J.R., Bobby, Ray found her there and got into a fist fight with a guy that was picking up on her and a few of the patrons. It was really a good fight, and I think Dallas ratings went up after that episode.
i think my fave line is when jr walks up in the first clip of jr walking up to sue ellen and cliffe danceing, sue ellen :oooh lord perfect reaction of the ewin and barnes fued
Dallas had these fights which were fun. What made Dynasty's catfights even more fun was the fact that you had women going at it they way men usually did. Great video!
Love Dallas, but I caught a blunder at 3:58 This scene was shot in Culver City (the fake Southfork) Watch the whole entire prop-wall move when Krebbs and JR bump it - LOL! Oh well...they get a free pass, this show is ICONIC!
That fight between JR and Ray was brutal. Years of pent-up resentment on Ray's part at JR's condescension, and JR never fully considered him a Ewing, but a half-breed interloper.
In the past, both Larry and Patrick have said they didn't really like the term "soap opera" because the show was more so geared towards men, whereas Dynasty & Knots Landing were geared more towards women.
@@mfjdv2020 I assume because Dallas male stars(Larry and Patrick) carried the show more and dealt with work business, etc., while Dynasty was more lead by Linda and Joan and Knots by Michele, Joan and Donna.
Stuntman and actor Tom Morga Is Jason Voorhees in part 5. The “imposter”-Jason the ambulance driver Roy is played by Dick Wieand. As we all know, it’s Roy and not Jason who’s the real killer in part 5.
True. But JR is crafty with that with that back-elbow. And he knocked-out Ray in that fight when the fire started. I loved it when he tripped Clayton all the way down the stairs and knocked him out LOL (not in this clip). And dang, he threw Pierce off of a skyscraper lol.
From what I have read about the jokers and pranksters on that set, I'll bet they were all laughing like hell filming these scenes; especially Hagman and Duffy.
Tommy McKay: You keep away from me man! Bobby: Like you kept away from April? Tracy: Whats going on? Tommy: She had it coming! Bobby: (That look he gave) So do you! 😆🥊👊
This is Texas in the 1980s, yet no one ever has a gun on them. You would think that JR would at least carry a gun on him, as well as some brass knuckles, given how often someone wishes to do him bodily harm...
The fight from 7:57 to 9:13 was as a result of JR sending Pam on that Caribbean wild goose chase to find Mark. JR. You can make life miserable for that termite Cliff Barnes all you want, but if you don't want any more split lips and black eyes from Bobby, it would be best if you just LEAVE PAM ALONE!!!!!!!!!!
Bobby was drowning his sorrows in booze because his old lady left him. He didn't need the old barfly or the "mongoose faced" guy bothering him. But they pissed him off and he was like, Dude, you want a fight I'll give you one, and beat the shit out of him. He would have beat him worse if Ray had not got there. I hope the guy thought the broad at the bar was worth it! His attempt to be a macho man failed. Tom Morga and Duffy might have had fun filming this scene, he was Duffy's stunt double in Man from Atlantis.
I think JR was the only one with a toupee. Think of the glue they used on him. It had to withstand the pool, wind, and mosquitoes! 😂 I loved the camping scene with JR on his cot and under the mosquito net!
Always loved having the pool there, you always knew someone would get thrown in. The Oil Barrens Ball always had a fight. They were fantastic. Grown men acting like children………..
Well, the Youngster is Tommy McKay played by J. Eddie Peck. It´s Season 12. The Giggolo is Nicholas Pearce played by Jack Scalia. He is after dead! Welcome new Dallas Fan
You're right 'The gigolo' was Nicholas Pearce. JR loved to insult Sue Ellen's boyfriend's. Nicholas Pearce was the Gigolo. Dusty Farlow his step brother was a saddle tramp plus s cripple and impotent (which JR mocked him about). JR called him a Jaffa. Cliff Barnes was a nitwit and a termite.
At about 11:23 April Stevens opens the door hoping that it would be her boyfriend, Bobby Ewing, but upon opening the door she sees Tommy McKay and he demands that she pays him $65,000 dollars. Bobby Ewing goes to her aid and asks her "who did this to you?" She replied Tommy McKay and the next day he goes to the McKay house and beats Tommy McKay and then Carter McKay goes to the hospital and pushes Bobby against the door and Bobby asks Carter McKay "Do you want to go in and see what your boy did to April?" Mar. 5, 2020 @ 1:20 am.
Who was the long haired youngster at the end? Which season is that? is one of the reunion movies? and what happened to Sue ellen's giggolo after he fell, he died or landed on a pool? I'm a young fan I was a baby when this aired, I'm actually younger than John Ross and Chris :p
"The proper recipent of the Digger Barnes scholarship award isn't university, it's a neighbourhood bar." Loved that line from JR!

"The proper recipient of the Digger Barnes scholarship award isn't university, it's a neighborhood bar." Love that line lol! Classic JR.
Classic J.R right there
"Send the bill to Southfork!" Best line ever
I wish it was back on TV every week, it' was worth waiting for to watch .

Whenever there was a pool on an episode of Dallas, there was almost a guarantee that there was a fight coming.
Cliff always got thrown into the pool at the Ewing barbecue 😅
JR's Reaction to Bobby Jumping at him in the pool is priceless!
"Bobby, you out of your mind? AH!"
Looked and sounded like his Anthony Nelson character on I Dream of Jeannie
The pool had it’s own soundtrack.
Larry Hagman was a sweet compassionate man and a terrific actor
the first seconds of this video had me laughing my butt off! Larry Hagman was truly the best!
Yeah, me too! I loved Larry Hagman as JR! That wicked grin of his. It must have been great fun to be married to JR Ewing :-) A lot more fun than boring virtuous old Bobby.
You notice the Southfork swimming pool has more action outside the house than everywhere else LOL!
Bobby was the best fighter on Dallas.
Bobby and Ray believe in ASS whipping got it from there Daddy Jock
Ray was second
No wonder why Frank can fight on Step by Step, Patrick Duffy fought on this show as well.
and Ray too
Don’t mess with Bobby. He’s fast as lightning and has an adrenalized temper. Ray is right there with him. Bobby should have bashed Tommy’s brains completely out for what he did to April. That post-wedding pool fight NEVER gets old! 🤣🤣🤣 And the way poor Bobby was struggling to break it up! 😂
That pool saw a lotta fights
And till this day that pool is visited by tourists in southfork
The pool is undefeated 💯💯
How bout the Oil Barrons Ball or Ewing BBQ ?
They had a lot of fights as well
I remember Larry Hagman and the others talk about their fight scenes. Larry always said he went limp while Patrick, Steve, Howard and Ken went all in and Patrick replied: "And that's why we all have bad knees and he doesn't."
He also said he had a bald spot in his patch of chest hair, from how hard Patrick Duffy grabbed him in a threatening manner - over the years.
Love him or hate him but, JR was the best! Larry Hagman was an incredible actor!

JR to Bobby: "You got him?!?" *Smash*. I see Clayton decides that would be an opportune time to blind side JR
when Jr threw that cake in Cliff's face I was done lol
🤣🤣
It wasn't a cake, it was a tray of champagne glasses.
I loved it when Clayton Farlow belted J.R.
The first two scenes with Cliff are the funniest.
Always loved how Bobby handled things. One scene he is mad as hell and the next hes marching to kick ass.

The most feared weapons on Dallas, the hand and the Southfork Pool
Great footage. Thanks.
Bobby and Ray were real men.
As was Jock
That's exactly what the new series needs, more pool fights ha!
I love when Bobby grabs Barnes and JR belts him in the first fight.
That look on Bobby’s face when the guy clapped him on the shoulder. You just knew it was going down 😂😂
In the bar
In the past, both Larry and Patrick have said they didn't really like the term "soap opera" because the show was more so geared towards men, whereas Dynasty & Knots Landing were geared more towards women.
In what way was Dallas 'geared towards men' and the other two soaps 'geared towards women'?

Bobby was such a badass!
Jr Ewing aka Larry Hagman is a badass and they fight like 5 old ladies 😂😅
In a way, that pool was the star of this show. Incredible how many people got pushed into it during the Run of this series.
Now i can see where the writers of Dynasty got the idea of that lily pond cat fight. Good one.
Dynasty was terrible. A completely watered-down travesty of Dallas.
“Bobby, J.R., cut it out!” Well, J.R. wasn’t really doing anything! 🤣🤣🤣
