Hi I have issue with me k40 laser. For engraving it works fine, but when cutting it starts at incorrect position and will cut at different point every time.
Oh, if head is out of alignment like this, homing problem is nothing. Last night cut one big-ish project and now I see why many people does not like that laser cutter - too small work area. I got some design from 3axis (free plans...), and there are not proper measure in CorelDraw or Inkscape. So I decoded dimensions based on 'fingers' length to match with 4mm plywood. Simply divide 4 mm by number measured in Inkscape and then select all and multiply H and W by that number.
mine is going back but slowly going to the right, and my home is to the left, i have cleaned end stop switch to see if its that but still not going home?
What could it be if I have the opposite problem? Instead of it moving back and not stopping, every time I turn it on it moves the gantry forward towards the front of the machine about 4 or 5 inches and then stops. No matter what position its in... Eventually it hits the limit at the front and grinds just like yours did, but at the front of the machine... Thanks

Hi I got a problem I do an engraving then go to cut it out, but the cut is off by 1cm or so, any ideas???
Mine has same issue but smaller model I can't figure it out brand ortur master 2
