K40 Laser fail on Y axis and make "knarking" noise

I got a K40 Laser, and it had a high "Knarking" noise sometimes. We will take out the gantry and adjust the belts, and see if that is the solution.

I was getting the same kind of noise from my Flashforge 3D printer's x axis. It sounded like something was slipping. In fact, it turned out to be an internal break in the cable supplying the stepper motor, caused by the constant flexing when the machine was in use. I replaced the cable and the problem was solved.

You have stripped the machine for no reason. There are two holes at the back for adjusting the belts.
Also there is no reason to take all those parts off to remove the gantry, just remove the air exhaust, it's not needed anyway.
Got mine from Vevor too. The upgrades make a big difference. The fan is very effective, I found the safety switch was badly placed and the lid would miss it but it's easy to fix. Something you cant see easily is that the power supply is also upgraded, the rectifier is now a 6a one and this prevents the previous problems with the flyback transformer.
I also had this 'knarking' noise, as you show, it's an easy fix. No need to remove the gantry, but if you do just take out the square air exit, it isn't needed anyway.

I have the omtech blue Grey I belive is whatbthey call ot it's the other one then this do you by chance know if the holes are as well I really don't wanna take it all apart but it keeps making thing sound and jumping messing things up . It also came with a tube of lube I assume it's for greasing it like he did with the spray ? Sorry laser nob I really don't wanna break my expensive hobby 😢😅

I dident do that but i guess you need take out the hole gantry first

You really did not need to do all this.. you could have only opened the covering of the gantry
