i'm glad for the diversity in sound tbh, if all Dubstep still sounded this way it would be boring as hell. love the style but too much of any one thing is no good.
Fun fact: that sub-bass is actually produced from a kick-drum sound, crushed through a compressor with the resonance turned up and up until it begs for mercy.
Compressors don't have resonance . A filter would and then again, you would probably use a high pass filter with resonance on say a given sound to get it high level of phatness.
