Excellent video. This is my home airfield so it's great to see visitors. Hopefully next time you come, the cafe will be open. Keep the videos coming. 👍
Excellent video as always! Thoroughly enjoyed this flight with you. It feels as though I'm right in the cockpit with you. Perfect landing too! Great job!
I was providing the Air/Ground that day! Alas I no longer work there due to 'ongoing issues' in the aerodrome. Cracking video though!! And a lovely landing!
@@theflyingadventures Yeah, it would likely have been me that took your landing fee. Hopefully things will improve there soon, and it will become a better place to visit.
@@theflyingadventures That is good to hear. We are based at Old Park Farm in margambe about 10 minutes away from Swansea but you would never get your plane into our air strip.
I'm about to watch your video. I've read your description and for information to others. There hasn't been a cafe for over 7 years so do not expect one soon. Have a look at flyers TH-cam channel and you will learn more about the troubles of the airport. The owner is running it into the ground seemingly on purpose. It is such a shame
Hi there, Thats is a shame... I have seen that video on the Flayers channel. I cannot fully understand why it is happening and what somebody (council?, ?owners) would want to achieve. The airport itself has got a great potential.
That is pretty unfair Mark. True the City centre is in decline and Swansea has suffered from lack of Welsh Government investment. There are big improvements in the city underway however, The University is expanding rapidly and now in the UK top 10.. Also no one can take the beauty away from Swansea Bay and the Gower peninsula as everyone viewing this video can see.
@@leightongoss6147 Evidently you are (perhaps innocently) missing the point. I was referring solely to the airport, not the wider city or surrounding areas.
Sorry. I mistook PPL for 'people' i.e family. Shows my ignorance of aviation affairs! Apologies. I agree. I live near Fairwood and I want to see it do well.
Great video, as usual!. Shame then weather deteriorated and took a little off the spectacular views of the Welsh valleys and coast. Shame that Swansea is a shadow of its former self.
The CAA suspended their licence but if landing at unlicenced airfield does not make any issues for you then I believe it should not be a problem. They are not any NOTAMS stating about full closure.
Great production!
Like the location labelling as you overfly towns - a neat touch.
You have a like and a new subscriber!
Thanks Darren, I am glad you like the video and appreciate my work :)

Thanks Kristian :) I hope this is going to be the case!
A very nice production - Thanks
Thank you, John

I am sorry to hear that, Dave, I hope you get everything sorted shortly. Have I met you on the tower? Thank you for your nice words :)

Good landing 👍🏻
@@thegoldennugget59 Thank you :)
Fantastic video with lovely timelapse! I have not been to Swansea yet, looks quite pictures from the above 😍 Another lovely video!
Thank you Joan :) I agree Wales is wonderful!
Try Haverfordwest propellers is a great cafe and cheap fuel
@@The_Flying_PigThanks! I have been there too, another great place to visit. One day we flew round Wales following the coastline. 🥰

@@The_Flying_Pig you have got quite short runways, good for STOL or microlights I presume ;)

Took my PPL out of Swansea 20 years ago. The state of the place now is quite depressing.

Very true, Chris. The CAA suspended Swansea's operating licence last week...
I thought Swansea was closed. I recently needed to go there but had no response on the phone and no response to email.
