- Here's the High-Grade 1/144 scale Efreet Schneid. Such a fantastic and refreshing HG kit, highly recommended! It's got a few seams and a few stickers, but I think this is one that just about anyone can really enjoy!

Well... Not exactly. The OG Efreet from Gundam Cross Dimension 0079 wielded one heat sword and a shot gun. The Kai never fielded a shotgun.

Okay, I was mistaken. The original Efreet used one heat sword and a shotgun. And it was a Gouf heat sword.
Just got this today from a hobby convention and remembered seeing this review months ago. :D Looking forward to fussing around with those blades lol

I built the RE/100 and loved it. I'll probably get this one as well. Zeon grunt suits are the tops.

I noticed the mono-eye was super loose on my HG Doug Schneid’s Efreet, which is basically this kit without all the knives. I like the design of the Efreet but wasn’t crazy about that particular kit/build.
i cut off two of the locking pegs on the shoulder armor them seam welded it with super glue , the consequence is that with a little tug will pull out the violet piece out.as for the mono eye slider it got tight after the paint job
The majority of the blades on the RE/100 are not parts separated. Only the two on the back skirt. The remaining 12 blades are all molded in one part.

Mike Greenberger I live on the other side of the country so I have to pay that $9 shipping fee. It's not bad but it really makes cheap $17 kits like this a little more pricey (for a HG)
Wonder if they gonna do some other HG unicorn grunt suits or even upgrade some old kits, that would be awesome
Trunkv _X_ Bandai probably won't since the likely reason this kit even exists is because when bandai decided to make an efreet kai alongside for the blue destiny revive
Yeah, any more Unicorn grunts would end up being P-Bandai like the Zaku kai B-Type or the Neo Zeon Gelgoog (Unicorn Ver.). Unless they do a Galluss variant other than the J-type; that could be interesting.
If you ever played Lost War Chronicles, Getting the EXAM version of the Efreet was well worth the fight. While I like the Schneid I will spend the money for the P-Bandai
so how many people customized this into more ninja in design? also might not look out of place in that Hidden Shadow G manga with the over the top shinobi MS based on existing units such as the GM.
i wonder if the mono eye of this will fit rg sazabi?.. hmm

Just built this kit. It’s an absolutely awesome kit. I really love the colors and the weapons. The build is a ton of fun. It does have a few downsides though. Mainly the stickers. I watched your review before building it, and I agree with you that the stickers kind of feel like they should just be additional parts. My mono-eye also moves fairly easily. And I had to glue the stored daggers in place because they kept falling off. But other than that it’s a VERY solid kit. I am glad I bought this guy.
Hi Zack, just got this kit today. Just got a question, the forearm seam lines looks like a bit tedious work. Is there any other way around other than painting the joints first then removing the seamline?

It isn't a real grade, those are the same size as a hg, it might be mg or re/100
max chavez it would still be a real grade it doesn't matter what the size is HGUC psycho gundam is almost PG size but isn't ome. Heck MG perfect zeong ia bigger than most PGs yet isn't one either

I'm glad we're getting these Efreet models at 1/144 scale, but the exclusivity status being rotated around from the RE:100 releases is even more baffling here since the Blue Destiny would be much more at home among it's fellow high grades, whereas the Schneid makes for a good standalone kit design.
Also, just abit of personal annoyance, but it kind of burns how much better the HGUC Efreet is than the HGUC Gouf Custom, given how they share design elements and aesthetics. Not to say the Gouf custom is bad by any means, but like any design I love I just want a better one.
Since a Gouf Revive has been released, it's not unreasonable to hope we'll be getting a Revive Gouf Custom

Reasonably though, yeah I don't see a Gouf Custom being revived for some time, if at all... but damn would it be sweet if they did. Heck, as stupid as it sounds I wish they could bring back the Fix Figuration/Zeonography concept and have parts so you could make one or the other, or make parts swapable... except, y'know, much better than the Zeonography versions. Seriously, whoever designed the hip joints on that thing needs an anatomy lesson.
Devasia Mentality Personally i would much rather have the other rx-78 number made then get a gouf custom revive. Heck theres never been a hg rx-78-1....
G04, G05, and Mudrock I can agree need some kind of HG treatment. G3 and prototype... eh, barely enough difference for me to care.

Heres to hoping they do a retail efreet and efreet nacht they both differ a lot from the other efreet variants. Like i said before its a damn shame the efreet kai isn't retail

Detail can be improved with paint/attention, but it's damned near impossible to fix a kit's articulation. I'd go with the hg kit. but i'm not fond of the plain grey.

Innocent_Bystander yeah this one looks a helluva lot better than the 1/100. At least with the flat grey knives you can drybrush on some silver and have it look pretty sick with minimal effort
Ironic how in the anime the Efreet Schneid is a higher tech mobile suit (in gundam unicorn maybe or other types of gundam series') and is an upgrade of the Gouf...even though Gouf really outstands the posibility, versatility, effectiveness, and practicality in terms of combat as where the Efreet kinda sucks in those aspects...not to mention in the series it seems to be really mobile and articulated while the Gouf seems like sort of a brick from the past few series' which is ironic as this toy has less posibility (at the toes and such at least)...meh, just slap on some Gouf R35 feet and your done coz those feet reach far then just some sanding on the front plates on the legs

matt mayp I'd imagine he would be sine it was shown off first with the blue destiny revive and the runners of the schneid imply that he can easily be retooled or was retooled
I've been waiting for this kit since UC OVA EP4 came out but it never happen and now I kinda lost interest with the design.... Nice kit tho.
About the darts, I would recommend you extending the blade using pla plate or something because if you sharpen the blade the way it is you'll end up having a extremely short blade....and it's already short enough to begin with.
yeah probably the best way would be to just make entirely new blades using plaplate!

Honestly.. I feel like this would look way more intimidating with a darker color scheme.. like black with purple, with a scarlet red mono-eye. Have it dual wield two heat swords and a beam Gatling gun. I'd personally call it "The Juggernaut".
