  • Join us on our road trip through England and Wales in our stunning 1966 Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint.
This car oozes so much style and sophistication, we felt a little under-dressed being in it!

Alfa 2600 is a grand car. If you had one in the 60's you were the Boss. Was also used by the Italian police to target the high speed get away cars and the were nick named La Pantera (Panther). Well done for reviewing it. I also think it was Giugiaro's first design with Bertone.

Dead ringer for my late 60s car, same colour and upholstery. People these days go all gloopy over E Types, but then, this car really did stand out. I know that nostalgia isn't what it is always cracked up to be, but thanks for this little look back in time. A great car that went like snot off a stick!

Beautiful car! Same timeless Bertone lines as the smaller GTV, & of course the symphonic Alfa sound. If the GTV was a violin, this would be the viola.

Funny that this car reminds you of your Rover. I own a Rover P5B Coupe too and looking at this to replace it.

What you are saying about italian GT cars from the 60s and their reliabity is just not true!
I own a '69 GT Junior a '68 Spider 1750 and a '69 BMW 2002 1600. And believe me when I say that both the GT and the Spider are much more reliable than the BMW although I've restored all three of them with the same care.
I would never take the 2002 to a long trip or to vacation. Thing I did several times with my GT Junior.
So please don't just say things like that when you never had the chance to own one of those cars.
In addition those Alfas would not have increased in price that much if they were not good. Look at those ridicolous prices they reach nowadays.
    Greetings from Switzerland

Yeh when compared to other cars of the time like anything british leyland or even german cars they are cheap to fix and highly reliable, advanced motors that make good power. the only problem people have really is rust but thats a problem with most old cars

Absolutely stunning. Really nice review. I’m trying to figure out the price point for these cars. Any indication from your side on a car in good functioning condition (not mint)?

A bit like 'Just William,' because when it was good, it was very very good, but when it was not, it was awful!

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in EU :-( In Germany the Green party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one gasstation per city. :-(

Nonsense. They're banned from being sold new and even that is still undecided.
